In some embodiments, a real-time event is detected and context is determined based on the real-time event. An application model is fetched based on the context and meta-data associated with the real-time event, the application model referencing a micro-function and including pre-condition and post-condition descriptors. A graph is constructed based on the micro-function. The micro-function is transformed into micro-capabilities by determining a computing resource for execution of a micro-capability by matching pre-conditions and post-conditions of the micro-capability, and enabling execution and configuration of the micro-capability on the computing resource by providing access in a target environment to an API capable of calling the micro-capability to configure and execute the micro-capability. A request is received from the target environment to execute and configure the micro-capability on the computing resource. The micro-capability is executed and configured on the computing resource, and an output of the micro-capability is provided to the target environment.

Straddle mitral valve device and methods

A method for providing blood flow across a surface of a mitral stent-valve frame. A portion of the stent-valve frame is placed into the left atrium and into the left ventricle with a securement band located intermediate that is attached to either the annulus or to a second support frame that is placed initially and above the mitral annulus without affecting native leaflet function. Portions of the frame above the securement band allow blood flow radially inwards to reduce stagnation regions in the atrium or outwards below the securement band to help cleanse native leaflets.

DEVICES AND SYSTEMS FOR IMPROVING STENT PERFORMANCE

A stent system is provided comprising a primary stent for location in a lumen of a target vessel, such as a vein or artery that may be fully or partially occluded. The primary stent contacts a vessel wall and at least one secondary stent element is deployed wholly within the primary stent and configured to engage with the interior surface of the primary stent. The secondary stent element is configured to apply a chronic outward radial force to the interior surface of the primary stent so as to effect modification of or to resist change to an aspect ratio of the lumen of the target vessel at the location where the secondary stent element is deployed. In this way the secondary stent element cooperates with the primary stent to restore patency to the target vessel. Various configurations of the stent system are provided as well as deployment devices and methods of treating fully or partially occluded vessels.

Percutaneous method and device to treat dissections

Some embodiments are directed to methods and systems for percutaneously treating dissections in a patient's vasculature, such as, without limitation, the aorta. The method can include deploying a catheter containing a collapsed anchoring element, frame, and cover through a first vessel to an entry point of the dissection. The anchoring element can be secured to the second branch vessel. The frame can be expanded in the first branch vessel. The cover can be unfolded over at least a portion of the entry point. The cover then reduces blood flow into the entry point.

Devices and Methods for Treating Facet Joints, Uncovertebral Joints, Costovertebral Joints and Other Joints

The present invention describes methods, devices and instruments for resurfacing or replacing facet joints, uncovertebral joints and costovertebral joints. The joints can be prepared by smoothing the articular surface on one side, by distracting the joint and by implant insertion. Implants can be stabilized against a first articular surface by creating a high level of conformance with said first articular surface, while smoothing the second articular surface with a surgical instrument with a smooth mating implant surface.

SYSTEM FOR MITRAL VALVE REPAIR AND REPLACEMENT

Systems for mitral valve repair are disclosed where one or more mitral valve interventional devices may be advanced intravascularly into the heart of a patient and deployed upon or along the mitral valve to stabilize the valve leaflets. The interventional device may also facilitate the placement or anchoring of a prosthetic mitral valve implant. The interventional device may generally comprise a distal set of arms pivotably and/or rotating coupled to a proximal set of arms which are also pivotably and/or rotating coupled. The distal set of arms may be advanced past the catheter opening to a subannular position (e.g., below the mitral valve) and reconfigured from a low-profile delivery configuration to a deployed securement configuration. The proximal arm members may then be deployed such that the distal and proximal arm members may grip the leaflets between the two sets of arms to stabilize the leaflets.

Intravascular Devices And Delivery Systems And Uses Thereof

In general, the invention features an intravascular device, a delivery system, and methods for filtering or deflecting emboli or other large objects from entering a protected secondary vessel or vessels The intravascular device of the invention may prevent passage of a particle in a blood vessel from passing through a filter supported by a frame, upper and lower stabilizers, and a wire. The wire may be used to stabilize the device upon its deployment and installation within a blood vessel. Further, in some embodiments, the invention features a delivery system and methods for introduction of the device into a blood vessel.

Implantable apparatus for retention of biological moieties

An implantable containment apparatus for receiving and retaining a biological moiety or a therapeutic device within a tissue bed is disclosed. The device includes a shaping element to maintain the device in a generally toroidal configuration and to return the apparatus to that configuration after deformation. The apparatus can be placed in a host tissue with minimal trauma to the patient. Methods for implanting and using the apparatus are also disclosed.

Prosthesis Comprising a Three-Dimensional and Openworked Knit
