The present disclosure relates to a polyester chemically produced toner composition including a core shell toner particle having special surface features and method to make the same. The special surface features on the outer surface of the core shell toner particle are created by the incorporation of a specially designed polymer latex having styrene and acrylate monomers into the core or shell of the toner particle wherein the polymer latex having styrene and acrylate monomers is tailored to be incompatible with the polyester resin(s) found in the core or the shell of the toner particle.

AQUEOUS PIGMENT DISPERSION LIQUID
The present invention provides an aqueous pigment dispersion liquid being such that a pigment is finely dispersed, and the viscosity, and the particle diameters of the pigment are unlikely to fluctuate, being excellent in storage stability, and enabling preparation of an emulsion-polymerized toner having properly controlled particle diameters while improving the pigment utilization rate. The aqueous pigment dispersion liquid is an aqueous pigment dispersion liquid for an emulsion-polymerized toner containing a pigment, a dispersant, and an aqueous medium. The dispersant is a polymer containing a constitutional unit (A) derived from a monomer (A) such that a group containing a (meth)acryloyloxy group or the like is bonded to one end of a particular polyethylene glycol chain or the like, and a constitutional unit (B) derived from a monomer (B) having a carboxy group or the like, the polymer has a number average molecular weight in terms of polystyrene of 4,000 to 15,000, as measured by gel permeation chromatography, the polymer is contained in a state of being not ionized substantially, and the aqueous pigment dispersion liquid has a pH of 3.0 to 8.4.
EXTERNAL ADDITIVE PARTICLE AND TONER
An external additive particle includes a sulfur-containing polymer. The polymer includes a vinyl polymer moiety and a siloxane moiety. The proportion of the number of silicon atoms to the sum of the number of carbon atoms, the number of oxygen atoms, and the number of silicon atoms in the external additive particle is 4.0% or more and 25.0% or less, and sulfur atoms are contained in the surface of the external additive particle as detected by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy.

A toner includes: a crystalline polyester, an amorphous polyester, and a release agent. In measurement through DSC of the toner before a predetermined storage treatment, one or more peaks as an endothermic component are present in a temperature region lower than a peak derived from the crystalline polyester. The toner satisfies expression (1) below.
In the expression (1), H1 is a total endothermic amount of an endothermic amount of the peak derived from the crystalline polyester and the one or more peaks present in the lower temperature region in the measurement through DSC of the toner before the storage treatment. H2 is an endothermic amount of a peak derived from the crystalline polyester in measurement through DSC of the toner after the storage treatment.

A toner includes toner matrix particles containing resin and wax; and an external additive, wherein an average number of voids per toner is 5 or more and 10 or less per toner with a void diameter Φ (nm) of voids in the toner matrix particles being 500 ≥ Φ ≥ 200, as measured based on cross-sectional observation by a scanning electron microscope (SEM).
