Toner
A toner includes toner particles each including a toner mother particle and an external additive adhering to a surface of the toner mother particle. The external additive includes silica particles. The silica particles each include a silica base, a first surface treatment layer covering the silica base, and a second surface treatment layer covering the first surface treatment layer. The first surface treatment layer contains a carboxy-modified silicone oil. The second surface treatment layer contains a specific copolymer including a first repeating unit represented by general formula (I) shown below and a second repeating unit represented by general formula (II) shown below. ##STR00001##
The silica particles have a non-ring-opened oxazoline group content of at least 1 mol/g and no greater than 500 mol/g as measured by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry.

TONER AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING TONER
A toner has a toner particle including a binder resin, the binder resin includes a polymer A, the polymer A contains a first monomer unit derived from a first polymerizable monomer and a second monomer unit derived from a second polymerizable monomer, the first polymerizable monomer is selected from (meth)acrylic acid esters having an alkyl group having 18 to 36 carbon atoms, the content of the first monomer unit in the polymer A is 5.0 mol % to 60.0 mol %, the content of the second monomer unit in the polymer A is 20.0 mol % to 95.0 mol %, the SP value of the first monomer unit and the SP value of the second monomer unit satisfy a predetermined relationship, the polymer A includes a predetermined polyvalent metal, and the content of the polyvalent metal is 25 ppm to 500 ppm.

TONER AND TONER MANUFACTURING METHOD
A toner comprising a toner particle containing a binder resin, the storage elastic modulus Gt (150) of the toner at 150 C. is at least 1.010.sup.4 Pa, the binder resin contains a polymer A having a first monomer unit derived from a first polymerizable monomer and a second monomer unit derived from a second polymerizable monomer different from the first polymerizable monomer, the first polymerizable monomer is selected from specific (meth)acrylic acid esters, the contents of the first monomer unit and second monomer unit in the polymer A are within specific ranges, and the SP values of the first monomer unit and second monomer unit are within specific ranges.

Master batch for toners, method for producing same, toner and method for producing toner
Disclosed herein is a master batch for toners, said master batch containing an acrylic polymer (A) and a polyester resin (B1) in a specific mass ratio. A toner disclosed herein contains the master batch and a polyester resin (B2), and has a content of the acrylic polymer (A) of 5% by mass or less. Methods for producing a master batch for toners are also disclosed herein and include a step of mixing an acrylic polymer (A) and a polyester resin (B1) in a specific mass ratio. Methods for producing a toner are also disclosed herein and include a step of mixing the master batch and a polyester resin (B2) so that a content of the acrylic polymer (A) is at a specific amount.
Toners exhibiting reduced machine ultrafine particle (UFP) emissions and related methods
Methods of forming a toner are provided. In embodiments, such a method comprises forming a toner from a mixture of at least one resin, at least one wax, and optionally, at least one colorant, wherein the at least one wax is of a type and is present at an amount which are selected to provide a predetermined PER.sub.10 value for the toner; and measuring a PER.sub.10 value for the toner, wherein the measured PER.sub.10 value for the toner is equal to or less than the predetermined PER.sub.10 value. Toners formed using the methods are also provided.
