Electronic device with sensing strip
An electronic device may have an elongated sensing strip. Control circuitry may use the sensing strip to gather air gesture input from the fingers or other body part of a user. The electronic device may have a housing. The housing may have portions such as upper and lower portions that rotate relative to each other about an axis. A hinge may be used to couple the upper and lower portions together. The sensing strip may extend parallel to the axis and may be located on the lower portion between keys on the lower portion and the axis or on the upper portion between the edge of a display in the upper portion and the axis. The sensing strip may have a one-dimensional array of sensor elements such as capacitive sensor elements, optical sensor elements, ultrasonic sensor elements, or radio-frequency sensor elements.
Electronic device
An electronic device, including a host, a main display, an auxiliary display, and a lifting mechanism, is provided. The main display is pivoted to the host. The auxiliary display is disposed on the host. The lifting mechanism is disposed between the auxiliary display and the host. The lifting mechanism is configured to lift the auxiliary display and maintain a lifting height of the auxiliary display.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE, CALIBRATION METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM
Provided is an electronic device, a calibration method, and a non-transitory computer-readable recording medium that increase user-friendliness of a touch sensor. An electronic device includes a physical key sensor which is configured to detect an operation to a pressable physical key, a touch sensor, which is disposed in vicinity of the physical key sensor, and a controller. The controller performs calibration of the touch sensor in accordance with releasing of the physical key.
LAPTOP COMPUTER WITH COVER ROTATABLY ATTACHED TO BASE THAT ROTATES TO COVER KEYBOARD
A laptop computer may include a lid, a base, and a cover. The base may be attached to the lid at a first end portion of the base. The base may include a keyboard adjacent to the first end portion of the base and an open portion adjacent to a second end portion of the base. The second end portion of the base may be opposite from the first end portion. The cover may be rotatably attached to the base between the keyboard and the open portion. The cover may be configured to swing from a first position covering the open portion of the base to a second position covering the keyboard.
COMPUTING DEVICE
A computing device can include a processor; memory accessible to the processor; a display operatively coupled to the processor; and an external shell assembly that includes an array of electronic components, where the array of electronic components includes transducers.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MODIFYING KEYS OF AN ELECTRONIC DEVICE
An electronic device is provided that includes a display subassembly including a display that visually presents information. The electronic device also includes a base subassembly including plural keys and coupled to the display subassembly, the key having a key characteristic. The electronic device also includes one or more processors, and a data storage device having executable instructions accessible by the one or more processors. Responsive to execution of the instructions, the one or more processors are configured to obtain a user characteristic or an electronic device characteristic, and modify the key characteristic based on the user characteristic or the electronic device characteristic.
Device interface
The present invention relates to a small computing device with an improved interface. The interface comprises a display screen which extends the majority of length of the face of the housing, and a plurality of multi-function buttons extending on either side of the display screen.
KEYBOARD DEVICE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING MULTI-ZONE LIGHTING EFFECT AND ILLUMINATION MODULE THEREOF
A keyboard device includes a keyboard module and an illumination module. The keyboard module includes plural first keys and at least one second key. The illumination module includes a light guide plate and a circuit board. The light guide plate includes plural first mapping zones and a second mapping zone. The first mapping zones are located under the corresponding first keys. The second mapping zone is located under the second key. Moreover, at least one side-view light-emitting element and at least one top-view light-emitting element are installed on the circuit board. The side-view light-emitting element emits a first light beam. The top-view light-emitting element emits a second light beam. The first light beam is extracted through the corresponding first mapping zone and transferred to the corresponding first key. The second light beam is transferred to the second key.
INFORMATION HANDLING SYSTEM KEYBOARD EMBEDDED MICRO LED BACKLIGHT
Information handling system keyboard illumination is provided with micro LEDs disposed below keyboard keys to direct illumination at each key individually. The micro LEDs may be integrated at a bottom surface of a support plate below a keyboard membrane, on top of the support plate within an opening of the membrane or in a spacer layer of the membrane between circuit layers. A diffuser disposed between the micro LED helps to diffuse illumination directed at the key for a more even icon illumination. The diffuser may be integrated with the membrane at an upper circuit layer or over a structure disposed over the micro LED.
Invisible, light-transmissive display system
An invisible, light-transmissive display system with a light resistant material is provided. Substantially invisible, tapered, light-transmissive holes are penetrated in a light transmissive pattern through at least a portion of the light resistant material using a laser beam having a focal width less than the smallest diameter of the tapered holes.
