VIDEO STORAGE METHOD AND APPARATUS, AND SOC SYSTEM AND MEDIUM
20230199143 · 2023-06-22 ·

A video storage method and apparatus, and a system on chip (SOC) system and a medium. The method includes: according to video information to be stored and occupation information of a target double data rate (DDR), sending a storage space application request to the target DDR (S11); receiving a storage space allocation response sent by the target DDR according to the storage space application request (S12); and storing video data to be stored, which corresponds to the video information to be stored, in an address space which is in the target DDR and corresponds to the storage space application request (S13). By means of the present application, the wasting of a storage space can be avoided, and when video storage is not needed, a storage resource on a SOC system can be used for supporting the operation of other functions.

A memory device includes a nonvolatile memory and a memory controller. The memory controller is configured to receive an access command with respect to a cluster of the nonvolatile memory, the access command including a size of the cluster and a logical address corresponding to a part of the cluster, translate the logical address to a physical address in the nonvolatile memory, by referring to a table storing physical addresses corresponding to part of logical addresses of the nonvolatile memory, identify all physical addresses corresponding to the cluster, based on the size of the cluster, the translated physical address, and an algorithm that generates a sequence for accessing the nonvolatile memory, and access the cluster of the nonvolatile memory in accordance with the identified physical addresses.

CONTROL METHOD, INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM STORING CONTROL PROGRAM, AND INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEM

A control method implemented by a computer, the control method including: receiving designation of data permitted to be accessed by a specific service, among data stored in a first storage; and in response to the receiving the designation of the data, outputting an instruction to store the designated data in a second storage isolated from the first storage.

SMART DATA INGESTION
20230195724 · 2023-06-22 ·

A method, an apparatus, and a computer program for data ingestion. Content-related descriptors are retrieved. Each descriptor is associated with a value classification. Furthermore, a data record to be ingested is retrieved. A value classification is assigned to the data record based on the descriptors. The data record is then ingested in accordance with the assigned value classification.

PLAYER METHODS FOR CHUNKED CMAF LOW LATENCY PLAYBACK

A content streaming system and methodology for facilitating the management of content streaming. A video packaging and origination service provides streaming content that is organized according to a set of encoded content chunks. A video playback application processes the set of encoded content chunks to dynamically form a content segment for live video streaming. The video playback application further processes the set of encoded content chunks to apply framerate heuristics associated with encoded content segments.

EXPANDING DATA STRUCTURES IN A STORAGE SYSTEM

A method for storage cluster expansion is provided. The method includes distributing user data throughout a storage cluster as directed by each of a plurality of authorities in the storage cluster. Each of the plurality of authorities has a plurality of wards, and each of the plurality of wards has ownership of a range of the user data. The method includes splitting one of the plurality of authorities, as a parent authority, into at least two child authorities and assigning a first subset of the plurality of wards of the parent authority to one of the at least two child authorities, and a second subset of the plurality of wards of the parent authority to another one of the at least two child authorities.

STORAGE DEVICE STORING DATA BASED ON KEY-VALUE AND OPERATING METHOD OF THE SAME

Provided are a storage device storing data on the basis of key-value and an operating method thereof, wherein the storage device separates and manages a plurality of keys and a plurality of values respectively corresponding to the plurality of keys, and includes a first controller processing a first key and a first value corresponding to the first key, a second controller processing a second key and a second value corresponding to the second key, and a nonvolatile memory storing the first key, the second key, the first value, and the second value, wherein the first key includes information about the second controller regarding a processing core for the second value processed next to the first value.

CHARACTERIZATION PROFILES OF MEMORY DEVICES

An example device in accordance with an aspect of the present disclosure includes a characterization engine and an allocation engine. The characterization engine is to receive information and characterizes expected temperature exposure of a memory device, to store a characterization profile of a plurality of memory devices of a computing system. The characterization engine is to refer to the characterization profile to identify the expected temperature exposure for a given memory device.

Systems and methods for atomic storage operations

An atomic storage module may be configured to implement atomic storage operation directed to a first set of identifiers in reference to a second, different set of identifiers. In response to completing the atomic storage operation, the atomic storage module may move the corresponding data to the first, target set of identifiers. The move operation may comprise modifying a logical interface of the data. The move operation may further include storing persistent metadata configured to bind the data to the first set of identifiers.

Storage control apparatus, method, and medium for scheduling volume recovery

A storage control apparatus, that controls a storage apparatus that includes a storage drive in which a plurality of logical volumes are set, includes a storage unit that stores load information for each of the plurality of logical volumes, and a control unit that determines to-be-rebuilt volumes, which are targets to be rebuilt, from the plurality of logical volumes, sequentially selects a logical volumes for which a volume-specific taken time is estimated, determines, for each selected logical volume, a volume-specific start time at which a rebuild will be started, estimates, by using the volume-specific start time and the load information about the selected logical volume, the volume-specific taken time for rebuilding the selected logical volume, and totals the volume-specific taken time estimated for each selected logical volume to calculate a total taken time taken for rebuilding the to-be-rebuilt volumes.
