Fibre channel host onboarding system
A Fibre Channel host onboarding system includes a Fibre Channel communication subsystem coupled to a host system in a modular computing system. The host system includes a Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) device that retrieves and transmits host system onboarding information associated with the host system. The host system also includes a Host Bus Adapter (HBA) device that is coupled to the BMC device, and that receives the host system onboarding information from the BMC device and, in response, transmits a host system discovery communication that includes the host system onboarding information to the Fibre Channel communication subsystem. When the HBA device determines that a host system discovery acknowledgement communication has been received from the Fibre Channel communication subsystem, it performs Fibre Channel fabric login operations with the Fibre Channel communication system that configure the host system for Fibre Channel communications via the Fibre Channel communication subsystem.
Two-wire communication systems and applications
Disclosed herein are two-wire communication systems and applications thereof. In some embodiments, a slave node transceiver for low latency communication may include upstream transceiver circuitry to receive a first signal transmitted over a two-wire bus from an upstream device and to provide a second signal over the two-wire bus to the upstream device; downstream transceiver circuitry to provide a third signal downstream over the two-wire bus toward a downstream device and to receive a fourth signal over the two-wire bus from the downstream device; and clock circuitry to generate a clock signal at the slave node transceiver based on a preamble of a synchronization control frame in the first signal, wherein timing of the receipt and provision of signals over the two-wire bus by the node transceiver is based on the clock signal.
Concatenated two-wire data bus
Disclosed is a light module and a matching housing for a bus node. The light module is provided to be used in a data bus system for transmitting data for light-emitting components via a differential two-wire data bus. The data bus transmits data between a bus master and at least two bus nodes. The data bus is divided by the bus nodes into at least two two-wire data bus sections. The housing comprises at least two rows of connections arranged opposite each other. Each row comprises one negative supply voltage connection and one positive supply voltage connection, which are arranged to be connected in pairs without intersection. The two connections for each of the respective two-wire data bus sections are arranged between the connections for the supply voltages in each row. A light-emitting component is arranged in a recess of the housing.
APPARATUS, SYSTEM, AND METHOD FOR MANAGING COMMANDS OF SOLID-STATE STORAGE USING BANK INTERLEAVE
An apparatus, system, and method are disclosed for efficiently managing commands in a solid-state storage device that includes a solid-state storage arranged in two or more banks. Each bank is separately accessible and includes two or more solid-state storage elements accessed in parallel by a storage input/output bus. The solid-state storage includes solid-state, non-volatile memory. The solid-state storage device includes a bank interleave that directs one or more commands to two or more queues, where the one or more commands are separated by command type into the queues. Each bank includes a set of queues in the bank interleave controller. Each set of queues includes a queue for each command type. The bank interleave controller coordinates among the banks execution of the commands stored in the queues, where a command of a first type executes on one bank while a command of a second type executes on a second bank.

Multiple transaction data flow control unit for high-speed interconnect
Methods, apparatus, and systems, for transporting data units comprising multiple pieces of transaction data over high-speed interconnects. A flow control unit, called a KTI (Keizer Technology Interface) Flit, is implemented in a coherent multi-layer protocol supporting coherent memory transactions. The KTI Flit has a basic format that supports use of configurable fields to implement KTI Flits with specific formats that may be used for corresponding transactions. In one aspect, the KTI Flit may be formatted as multiple slots used to support transfer of multiple respective pieces of transaction data in a single Flit. The KTI Flit can also be configured to support various types of transactions and multiple KTI Flits may be combined into packets to support transfer of data such as cache line transfers.
SYSTEMS, COMPUTER-READABLE MEDIA AND COMPUTER-IMPLEMENTED METHODS FOR NETWORK ADAPTER ACTIVATION IN CONNECTION WITH FIBRE CHANNEL UPLINK MAPPING
A system, computer-readable media and computer-implemented method for automated network adapter activation in connection with fibre channel uplink mapping. The system includes a non-virtualized storage area network switch having a plurality of fibre channel ports. Each of the fibre channel ports is coupled to a corresponding cable to at least partly define a fibre channel uplink. The system also includes a plurality of client devices. Each client device has a network adapter. The system also includes a processing element and non-transitory computer-readable media having computer-readable instructions instructing the processing element to complete the following steps: (1) automatically execute an algorithm to determine a sequence for mapping the network adapters to respective fibre channel uplinks; (2) automatically determine a network adapter activation pattern based on the sequence to include a time delay between the network adapters; (3) automatically map the network adapters to respective fibre channel uplinks according to the sequence; and (4) automatically activate the network adapters based on the network adapter activation pattern.
