BIOMOLECULE DETECTION APPARATUS USING MICROPORE

The present invention relates to a biomolecule detection apparatus capable of easily and quickly detecting various biomolecules associated with diseases and determining the presence or absence of a specific disease. The biomolecule detection apparatus of the present invention includes a micropore device, a microchip, and sensing electrodes. According to the present invention, a microscale pore is formed inside the micropore device. In addition, the microchip is configured to pass through the microscale pore along the flow of a conductive liquid supplied inside the micropore device, has a surface coated with a sensing molecule complementarily bound to a target biomolecule, and has a unique code for identifying the complementarily bound target biomolecule. The sensing electrodes serve to sense the code by measuring change in current flowing through the pore when the microchip passes through the pore.

BRAND-IDENTIFIABLE AND CLOUD-ENABLED PACKAGING MATERIAL

A computing device can facilitate disposal of packaging material. The packaging material can have a product packaged therein. The packaging material includes an identification tag that includes an identifier. A remote computing device reads the identifier from the packaging material and sends a communication that includes the identifier to the computing device. The computing device identifies a location associated with the remote computing device. The computing device determines location-based disposal information for the packaging material that is based at least in part on the location associated with the remote computing device. The computing device send an indication of the location-based disposal information for the packaging material to the remote computing device.

Code reader and method for reading of optical codes

A code reader for the reading of optical codes is provided that has an image sensor for the detection of image data with the code and that has a control and evaluation unit that is configured to read the code with at least one decoding method, wherein the control and evaluation unit is connected to a distance sensor that determines a distance value for the distance of the code. The control and evaluation unit is further configured for the purpose of setting at least one parameter and/or including at least one additional algorithm of the decoding method for the decoding method in dependence on the distance value.

Optical code provisioning for control devices

A control device having a surface that is hidden after installation of the control device. The control device includes an optical code disposed on the surface. The optical code encodes a device identifier of the control device and a secret code. The control device includes a wireless transceiver configured to communicate with a user device during a provisioning sequence of events that is initiated based on the user device scanning the optical code to obtain the device identifier and the secret code.

The invention features an image reader and a corresponding method for capturing a sharp distortion free image of a target, such as a one or two-dimensional bar code. In one embodiment, the image reader comprises a two-dimensional CMOS based image sensor array, a timing module, an illumination module, and a control module. The time during which the target is illuminated is referred to as the illumination period. The capture of the image by the image sensor array is driven by the timing module that, in one embodiment, is able to simultaneously expose substantially all of the pixels in the array. The time during which the pixels are collectively activated to photo-convert incident light into charge defines the exposure period for the sensor array. In one embodiment, at least a portion of the exposure period occurs during the illumination period.
