A method and system provide the ability to manage an orchard. Sensor data that represents a first state of the orchard is captured via one or more sensors. The sensor data is captured as the one or more sensors are traveling through the orchard. An almanac is maintained. The almanac provides a state library of sequential states of a representative orchard and a task library for one or more tasks to be performed to transition between the sequential states. A task manager queries the almanac to identify a first task of the one or more tasks and allocates the first task to one or more robots that perform the first task.

Provided is a process including: receiving a tank-nearly-full message indicating that a tank at an oil or gas related facility is or will be ready for a truck to unload and transport fluid accumulating in the tank; in response to the tank-nearly-full message, creating a tank-run record; sending a description of the tank-run to a mobile device of a driver of an oilfield truck; receiving, from the mobile device of the driver of the oilfield truck, a tank-run claimed message indicating that the driver will drive to the oil or gas related facility and transport at least some of the fluid accumulating in the tank; and after the tank-run claimed message, performing steps including: confirming that the tank-run has not yet been claimed; after the confirmation, designating the tank-run as claimed by the driver; and sending confirmation to the mobile device of the driver.

A method for execution by a storage network begins by issuing a decode threshold number of read requests for a set of encoded data slices to a plurality of storage units of a set of storage units and continues by determining whether less than a decode threshold number of read requests has been received in a time window. The method continues by identifying one or more encoded data slices encoded data slices associated with read requests of the decode threshold number of read requests that have not been received and for an encoded data slice of the one or more encoded data slices, issuing a priority read request to a storage unit storing a copy of the encoded data slice. The method then continues by receiving a response from the storage unit storing the copy of the encoded data, where the storage unit storing the copy of the encoded data slice is adapted to delay one or more maintenance tasks in response to the priority read request.
System and method for in-vehicle digital productivity enhancement through peer-to-peer communication
In at least one embodiment, an in-vehicle system is provided that includes a transceiver system and a vehicle controller. The transceiver system may be positioned in a first vehicle and is configured to enable communication with one of a surrounding infrastructure to the first vehicle and a surrounding vehicle to the first vehicle. The vehicle controller may be positioned in the first vehicle and is programmed to transmit an electronic request, via the transceiver system, to a Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) server and to receive first information corresponding to the electronic request from the CRM server. The vehicle controller is further programmed to transmit the received first information to one a display in the first vehicle, the surrounding vehicle, and the surrounding infrastructure.

A computer program product for prioritizing order fulfillment at a retail sales facility, including the steps of: a) receiving purchase request information at a retail sales computing device that includes identifying information and order information for the first customer, b) receiving location information for the first customer, c) processing the received location information for the first customer together with location information of the retail sales facility to predict an estimated time of arrival (ETA) for the first customer at the retail sales facility, d) scheduling a time interval for acquiring updated location information for the first customer, and e) placing the identifying information, order information and ETA for the first customer in an order fulfillment queue for all current customers. Entries in the order fulfillment queue are ordered in increasing ETA order, whereby order fulfillment activities can proceed according to the order of order requests in the order fulfillment queue. ETA is continuously updated for each customer, and thereby the order for fulfilling customer orders in the order fulfillment queue. For example, if a customer's distance from the retail sales facility increases (for example, due to a mistaken turn), that customer's order will drop to a later-served position in the queue. The location information for the first customer includes GPS-based location information of the first customer that is captured by a GPS device associated with a mobile computing device of the first customer. The location information for the retail sales facility includes GPS-based location information of the retail sales facility. The ETA prediction is performed using the GPS-based location information of the first customer and the GPS-based location information of the retail sales facility.

A server obtains a slot capacity of each workstation and a preset virtual capacity, determines a to-be-processed order of each workstation according to the slot capacity and the virtual capacity, and generates an outbound instruction according to the to-be-processed order. A transfer device transfers goods in the to-be-processed order from the warehouse according to the outbound instruction.
