A card mechanism used in an array with other card mechanisms. Each card mechanism handles plastic cards that are to be personalized and provided to end users. The plastic cards can be cards such as financial cards including credit and debit cards, identification cards, driver's licenses, and other plastic cards that are personalized. The card mechanism(s) can supply cards to be personalized in one or more other card mechanisms and/or in a card personalization machine used with the card mechanism(s) in which case the card mechanism(s) is configured as a card input hopper, collect cards that have been personalized in which case the card mechanism is configured as a card output hopper, and/or perform one or more personalization operations on the cards in which case the card mechanism is configured as a card personalization mechanism.

According to an embodiment, a payment system includes a payment terminal and a management server. The payment terminal sends an inquiry to the management server on the basis of obtained biometric information of a purchaser. The payment terminal obtains, from a response from the management server in response to the inquiry, payment method data specifying a payment method of the purchaser. The management server searches a database, which stores data specifying a payment method in association with the biometric information of the purchaser. The management server thereby detects data in association with the biometric information, which is inquired from the payment terminal.

Split credit card

A separable or split transaction card may be a transaction card that is separable into multiple parts. The transaction card may be separable into multiple portions through an axis that extends through one or more pieces of personal identification information. The transaction card may transition between two or more configurations. A first configuration may be one in which the multiple card portions are not connected, all of the separated pieces of personal identification information are disabled, and the transaction card is disabled. A second configuration may be one in which the multiple card portions are connected, one or more of the separated pieces of personal identification information are enabled, and the transaction card is enabled and may be read when inserted into a card reading machine.

Disclosed is a general purpose reloadable (GPR) card that consolidates multiple transaction cards, has a unique card number and allows a user to switch among the transaction cards. The GPR card includes a transmission unit, a storage unit, payment units, a display, an operation interface, a rechargeable battery and a microprocessor. The transmission unit is connectable to a smart device to access multiple funding sources for storing on the storage unit. The funding sources are digital data of the transaction cards owned by the user. The display and the operation interface allow the user to view and select one funding source as a default funding choice and provide the same to a third party API service provider who holds a plurality of user preloaded digital data. The payment units provide the unique card number to a point of service; and the microprocessor manages all other elements of the GPR card.

System and method for providing temporal card verification value (CVV) for secure online transaction processing

An embodiment of the present invention is directed to a Temporal CVV2 of CVV, which may be represented as a temporary three digit number generated using unique credentials associated with a card product. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the Temporal CVV2 may be generated for each transaction request or other defined set of transactions based on one or more factors, including time period/limit, usage, fraud/risk considerations. With this solution, a customer may request a new Temporal CVV2 each time a purchase is initiated. This may include online purchases, e-commerce transactions, manual link and provision requests, customer authentication for servicing channels, etc. An embodiment of the present invention seeks to mitigate risk and provide a safer and secure solution for customers while providing flexibility to make various purchases before a new card arrives.

Secondary purchase card for financial transactions (“cap card”)

Strategies, tools and techniques for establishing purchase cards for customers of a financial institution are provided. A primary purchase card can be established for a customer in association with at least one account of the financial institution. Also, at least one secondary purchase card can be established for the customer in addition to the primary purchase card. The secondary purchase card can be linked to the primary purchase card and to at least one of the same accounts associated with the primary purchase card. Customer configuration of various rules for the secondary purchase card can be facilitated, such as rules that govern purchase limits, activation parameters, deactivation parameters, and/or automatic replenishment schedules for the secondary purchase card.
