Notification content
In one embodiment, a method includes receiving a number of notifications of activity relevant to a user. Each notification has an associated type. The method also includes calculating a level of interest in content of each notification to the user based at least in part on the type of each notification; modifying the content of one or more of the notifications based at least in part on the calculated level of interest; and sending one or more of the notifications with modified content to the user.
Method and System for Managing Item Distributions
Systems and methods are provided for identifying an influencer from a pool of people based on past interactions with one or more items. A similarity score is calculated for each of a plurality of items. An affinity score is determined for each person in the pool of people for each of the plurality of items. A similar item affinity score is calculated for each person based on the similarity score for each item and the affinity score for that item. The influencer is identified based on the similar item affinity scores for each person in the pool of people. The influencer is granted a permission to perform a particular action related to the particular item based on being identified as the influencer.
Location Measurement and Analytic System for Out of Home Advertisements
A system for determining the effectiveness of out of home advertisements using cell phone location data from mobile phone aps. The system determines the location of the advertisement, either stationary or mobile, develops a possible user viewing radius, then requests phone location data from third party aggregators. It then evaluates the phone users located near the advertisement to determine who may have viewed the ad, to create a count of ad impressions.
MULTI-DIMENSIONAL FORECASTING
Techniques for generating a multidimensional forecast are provided. In one technique, multiple segments are generated, each comprising a different set of attribute values. For each segment, a set of prior content requests for the segment is determined based on historical data, a forecasted number of content requests is determined based on the set of prior content requests, and the forecasted number of content requests is stored in association with a set of attribute values corresponding to the segment. A request is received to forecast performance of a content delivery campaign based on a particular set of attribute values. In response to receiving the request, multiple segments that share the particular set of attribute values are identified. The forecasted number of content requests associated with each segment of the multiple segments are aggregated to generate aggregated performance data. A portion of the aggregated performance data is caused to be displayed.
Evaluating page content to determine user interest
The disclosure is directed to approaches for combining server-side decisions based on user attributes and/or demographics with client-side decisions based on expressed or implied user interests determined based on the contents of a web page being visited by the user. A server is responsive to an occurrence of an operation of a client device at the web page. Processing steps determine particular executable web page content to send to the client device (e.g., where the particular executable web page content is determined in response to a particular client-side operation). The web page is rendered with the aforementioned executable web page content. Server-side processing receives messages that are emitted conditionally, based on the occurrence of a user event. An event log message comprises a portion of the web page, such as a string, indicating or implying user interest. A targeted advertisement is presented to the user based on the user interest.
Device identification techniques using shared device graph
Systems and methods for building a device graph for cooperative device identification are disclosed. Various information is received at a computing system over a communications network, include information defining a relationship between (i) a unique identifier associated with a first device of a user and (ii) a unique identifier associated with the user, and information defining a relationship between (i) a unique identifier associated with a second device of the user and (ii) the unique identifier associated with the user. The unique identifiers associated with the devices are each mapped to the platform-wide identifier based at least in part on the unique user identifier. A device graph comprising a plurality of device nodes is constructed, with related device nodes connected by one or more edges. Nodes representing the devices are linked based on a relationship identified between them using the platform-wide identifier.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DETECTING A PEAK IN WEB TRAFFIC ON AN ELECTRONIC NETWORK
Systems and methods are disclosed for attributing web traffic to an advertising spot. The method may include receiving traffic data for a web page from a server associated with an advertiser and receiving, from a log provider, a log of a plurality of advertising spots related to the advertiser. A duration of time as a peak may be designated to identify the amount of traffic that is attributable to the one of the plurality of advertising spots.
Media usage monitoring and measurement system and method
Media monitoring and measurement systems and methods are disclosed. Some embodiments of the present invention provide a media measurement system and method that utilizes audience data to enhance content identifications. Some embodiments analyze media player log data to enhance content identification. Other embodiments of the present invention analyze sample sequence data to enhance content identifications. Other embodiments analyze sequence data to enhance content identification and/or to establish channel identification. Yet other embodiments provide a system and method in which sample construction and selection parameters are adjusted based upon identification results. Yet other embodiments provide a method in which play-altering activity of an audience member is deduced from content offset values of identifications corresponding to captured samples. Yet other embodiments provide a monitoring and measurement system in which a media monitoring device is adapted to receive a wireless or non-wireless audio signal from a media player, the audio signal also being received wirelessly by headphones of a user of the monitoring device.
SYSTEM, METHOD AND USER INTERFACES AND DATA STRUCTURES IN A CROSS-PLATFORM FACILITY FOR PROVIDING CONTENT GENERATION TOOLS AND CONSUMER EXPERIENCE
A cross-platform service engages and connects influencers and consumers by facilitating content generation in connection with electronic-commerce platform. An influencer/content generator facing portal presents a set of tools to enable influencers to create content for use on the e-commerce side and to facilitate transactions related to influencer compensation. A consumer facing portal presents adaptive user interfaces to engage remotely connected consumers by presenting influencer-generated looks and tools to selectively navigate and select/deselect presented looks and explore look and products and ultimately to handle transactions for purchasing of products.
System and method for associating search queries with remote content display
An audience measurement service may monitor broadcasts in a region, ingesting closed captioning data, metadata, displayed text or logos, performing facial recognition on people, and/or generating audio/video fingerprints of broadcast content to create a database of content and associated keywords, along with times at which the content was broadcast. The audience measurement service may receive user search queries from a search provider and detect spiking queries. The audience measurement service may determine whether the spiking queries are related, contextually and temporally, to an item of content identified in the database, and infer that users generating the queries likely viewed the item of content. In some implementations, the audience measurement service may also infer that the users likely viewed other items of content (e.g. advertisements) displayed during the prior or subsequent few minutes on the same broadcast channel as the query-triggering item.
