An example method to monitor media exposure involves receiving a first request from a client device at an intermediary serving a first sub-domain of a first internet domain, the first request to be indicative of access to media at the client device; transmitting, from the intermediary, first data associated with the first request to a data collection server of an audience measurement entity and second data about the first request to an entity of the first internet domain; and in response to determining that the first request does not include a user identifier associated with the first internet domain, sending a first response from the intermediary to the client device, the first response to instruct the client device to send a second request to a second intermediary associated with a second sub-domain of a second internet domain, the second request indicative of the access to the media at the client device.

An app store can have a multiuser streaming app. A thin front end appears on the user devices and the rest of the app instances run in virtual machines in a data center of the app store. A web page at an URL Phi can contain a linket Theta. Phi is seen in a mobile browser. If Theta is picked, the mobile device sends Theta and Phi to the Registry. The Registry logs both. Techniques for extracting features of entities and targets that can be applied in a set of applications, such as entity selection prediction, audience expansion, feed relevance, and job recommendation. In one technique, entity interaction data is stored that indicates, for each of multiple entities, one or more targets that are associated with items with which the entity interacted. Token association data is stored that indicates, for each of multiple tokens, one or more targets that are associated with the token. Then, using one or more machine learning techniques, entity embeddings and target embeddings are generated based on the entity interaction data and the token association data. Later, a request for content is received from a particular entity. Based on at least one entity embedding, a content item for the particular entity is identified. The content item is transferred over a computer network and presented to the particular entity.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR IDENTIFYING RECIPIENTS OF A REWARD ASSOCIATED WITH A CONVERSION
The present teaching relates to a method and a system for advertising. The method obtains information about a conversion associated with an advertisement and generates with respect to the conversion, an operational smart attribution evaluation package (SAEP). The SAEP includes a conversion parameter and a reward. The method transmits the SAEP to a platform to be posted, and thereafter receives from the SAEP, an indication of an entity which is estimated to be associated with the conversion and to which the reward is to be allocated. The entity is determined by the SAEP based on the conversion parameter and information from a plurality of entities that displayed the advertisement.

Auto adaptive anomaly detection system for streams
A computer-implemented method and system for detecting fraud in electronic commerce traffic are disclosed. A global conversion rate is defined that represents activity related to a purchase made or proxy activity executed during electronic commerce traffic to a commercial website that is indicative of non-fraud activity. Subsets of the electronic commerce traffic to a commercial website are monitored for clusters of activity having a conversion rate that is lower than a global conversion rate by a threshold margin. A number of user-initiated input signals from an input device to navigate from each of one or more affiliate websites to the commercial website, and a number of conversions generated from each of the one or more affiliate websites, are registered by a computer for analysis.

A wearable apparatus and method are provided for capturing image data. In one implementation, a wearable apparatus for capturing image data is provided. The wearable apparatus includes at least one image sensor for capturing image data of an environment of a user, wherein a field of view of the image sensor includes a chin of the user. The wearable apparatus includes two or more microphones, and an attachment mechanism configured to enable the image sensor and microphones to be worn by the user. The wearable apparatus includes a processing device programmed to capture at least one image, identify the chin of the user to obtain a location of the chin, select a microphone from the two or more microphones based on the location, process input from the selected microphone using a first processing scheme, and process input from a microphone that is not selected using a second processing scheme.

Systems and methods are disclosed for attributing web traffic to an advertising spot. The method may include receiving traffic data for a web page from a server associated with an advertiser and receiving, from a log provider, a log of a plurality of advertising spots related to the advertiser. A duration of time as a peak may be designated to identify the amount of traffic that is attributable to the one of the plurality of advertising spots.
