Mapping past content from providers in video content sharing community
A method of sharing an experience between a tapper and a content provider is provided. In this method, at least two interfaces are provided that are configured to allow the tapper and the content provider to join a content sharing community. A third interface is also provided to allow the tapper to select the content provider from a map where at least one of the tapper and the content provider are unknown to the other prior to the tapper selecting the content provider. Then a solicitation is conveyed from the tapper to the content provider to provide a video feed. The method further provides a control that operates the map at selected historical times.
PERSONALIZED IDENTIFICATION OF VISIT START
Pieces of location history data corresponding to an identified place of interest are obtained. Each piece of the obtained location history data references one or more signals detected at the identified place of interest and also references temporal data that corresponds to the detected signal(s). Some of the obtained pieces of location history data that represent one or more short, pass-through visits at the identified place of interest are identified. Based on the identified pieces that represent the short visit(s), conditions for determining the intent of future detected location visits at the identified place of interest are generated. The generated conditions can then be employed to determine that a detected location visit of a particular computing device determined to be at the identified place of interest is an extended visit as opposed to a short visit.
Method and system for dynamically incorporating advertising content into multimedia environments
Methods and systems for dynamically incorporating advertising content into multimedia environments, such as games, are provided. Example embodiments include a dynamic inserter, which selects content, based upon a set of criteria, to deliver to a receiving client system, such as a game client. The game client typically dynamically determines locations with the game where advertisements may be inserted. Associated with these locations are ad tags that specify criteria for the ads. For example, the criteria may include ad type, ad genre, and scheduling information. The game client then sends indications of these ad tags to the dynamic inserter to be used to select appropriate ads. The dynamic inserter selects ads based upon the criteria and sends them to the game client, which selects them for ad tags with conforming criteria. The game client then renders the selected ad in the appropriate location. In one embodiment, the dynamic inserter comprises a game client, game server, ad server, a communications channel, and, optionally, an ad client.
Aerial Billboard
An aircraft media projection system is provided with a deployment subsystem having an interface to supply an enablement signal with an identification code, in response to an aircraft maintaining a selected midair position in the atmosphere above the ground. A location subsystem determines the midair geographic location of the aircraft, and a communications subsystem, typically a cellular link, has an interface to receive verification information including the enablement signal, identification code, and geographic location, and an interface to transmit the verification information to a server. In one aspect, the system may include a WiFi hotspot that is available for use by the public at large. A targeting software application permits the selection of the midair position from a plurality of potential midair positions. Each potential midair stationary position may have a corresponding weighted value. In another aspect, the system may include a media projection subsystem to selectively project media.
Targeted advertising using temporal analysis of user specific data
Methods, systems and apparatus, including computer program products are described for providing temporally relevant targeted content items. A set of user data is used to determine current user interests as indicated by one or more recent events. Content items relevant to those events are identified and ranked based on a time that the corresponding event occurred. One or more of the top ranked content items can be delivered to a user.

Goods/service recommendation that includes: accessing a consumer's computerized calendar to retrieve consumer calendar data and identifying an event in the calendar data; removing calendar data that is restricted data; determining first key words of the event representative of the event; identifying a target from the event; determining second key words of the target being descriptive of the target; determining third key words of the calendar data being descriptive of the consumer; combining the first, second and third key words; determining similarities and relationships between the target and the consumer to find groups of key words that form the strongest similarities and relationships; identifying the group of key words as having the strongest similarities and relationships between the target and the consumer; using the group of key words having the strongest similarities to identify a recommendation for providing a goods/service to the target; and providing the recommendation to the consumer.
Systems and networks to aggregate photo content for heuristic ad targeting
A system for aggregating media is provided which includes a server equipped with a processor and memory and having an event database associated with it which contains a plurality of events, wherein each of the plurality of events has a temporal window and geofence associated with it; and a plurality of users, each having associated therewith a mobile technology platform equipped with a display and a memory which communicates with the server. The memory of each mobile technology platform has an instance of a software application is installed which monitors the current location of the user, prompts the user to check into events present in the event database when the user enters a geofence associated with an event within the temporal window associated with the event, associates, with one of the plurality of events, media which was captured by the user while the user was checked into the one of the plurality of events and within the temporal window and geofence associated with the one of the plurality of events, and uploads the captured media to the server.
System and Method for Mobile Media Distribution
A system and method are provided for location-targeting the provision of media distributed by a mobile platform. The method provides a mobile platform with an attached media projection subsystem, and an identifier associated with the media projection subsystem. The media projection subsystem is selectively enabled, the geographic location of the mobile platform is determined, and the identifier and the enablement of the media projection system are verified. Verification information, including the mobile platform (media projection subsystem) location, identifier, and enablement of the media projection subsystem is communicated to a server and stored in a non-transitory memory. A targeting application may direct the system to a target location in cooperation with analyzing the verification information, weighted for factors such as proximate vehicular traffic, line of sight, proximate pedestrian traffic, proximity to cultural events, proximity to cultural facilities, the time of day, and the length of time the media is being projected.
OPTIMIZING A DIGITAL DISPLAY
An approach is provided for optimizing a digital display. Classifications of advertisements are determined. A location of a future action in an event is predicted. A sentiment of an audience is determined. The audience includes spectators at the venue, viewers who are viewing the event via devices receiving a live broadcast of the event, or a combination of the spectators and the viewers. Based on the location of the future action, a digital display is selected from digital displays in the venue and content on the digital display is predicted to be captured as an image by a camera and broadcast to devices of the viewers. Based on the classifications, the sentiment, the location of the future action, and the content being predicted to be captured and broadcast, an advertisement is selected. The selected advertisement is sent to the selected digital display.
VEHICLE ADVERTISEMENT DISPLAY SYSTEM
A vehicle advertisement display system to be mounted on a vehicle includes a display unit, a detection unit, and a control unit. The display unit performs display at least toward an interior of the vehicle. The detection unit detects at least one of a state of an occupant riding the vehicle or a motion of the occupant as a target. The control unit causes the display unit to display the advertisement image having an advertising content corresponding to the target detected by the detection unit based on correspondence information that defines the advertising content corresponding to each candidate of the target.
