System and method for mobile targeting
A system and method are provided for location-targeting the provision of media distributed by a mobile platform. The method provides a mobile platform with an attached media projection subsystem, and an identifier associated with the media projection subsystem. The media projection subsystem is selectively enabled, the geographic location of the mobile platform is determined, and the identifier and the enablement of the media projection system are verified. Verification information, including the mobile platform (media projection subsystem) location, identifier, and enablement of the media projection subsystem is communicated to a server and stored in a non-transitory memory. A targeting application may direct the system to a target location in cooperation with analyzing the verification information, weighted for factors such as proximate vehicular traffic, line of sight, proximate pedestrian traffic, proximity to cultural events, proximity to cultural facilities, the time of day, and the length of time the media is being projected.
Targeted advertising using temporal analysis of user specific data
Methods, systems and apparatus, including computer program products are described for providing temporally relevant targeted content items. A set of user data is used to determine current user interests as indicated by one or more recent events. Content items relevant to those events are identified and ranked based on a time that the corresponding event occurred. One or more of the top ranked content items can be delivered to a user.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR AUTOMATICALLY IDENTIFYING A USER PREFERENCE FOR A PARTICIPANT FROM A COMPETITION EVENT
Systems and methods are disclosed herein for determining a preference of a user for or against a participant of an event when a media asset relating to the event is being played based on monitoring user reactions to the event. Specifically, the media guidance application may detect a change of at least one of the biometric state (e.g., pulse rate, blood pressure, etc.) and physiological state (e.g., facial expression, gesture, body movement, etc.) with a user. The media guidance application may determine that an event has occurred within the sporting event that triggered the change. The media guidance application may determine that the user favors the first participant over the second participant, if the user reacts positively towards a score for the first participant in the event.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR POST TRANSACTION SEASONAL ITEM RECOMMENDATIONS
Systems and methods for post transaction seasonal item recommendations are disclosed. In some embodiments, a current seasonal time window associated with a seasonal event and some seasonal product types is determined. Based on historical transaction data of the seasonal product types, a first seasonal index score is computed for each item, and a second seasonal index score is computed for each product type including one or more items. A seasonal rank score is generated for each item based on the first seasonal index score and the second seasonal index score, such that the items in the historical transaction data are ranked based on their respective seasonal rank scores. Based on the ranked items and a transaction order from a user, a list of recommended items is generated and displayed to the user.
Methods and apparatus for virtual competition
A system configured to be coupled with a participant of an activity. The system comprises: a participant activity monitoring unit configured for monitoring a performance of the activity by the participant; an activity information module configured for storing performance information corresponding to the activity; and a participant performance correlator configured for delivering comparative performance data based on the monitored performance of the activity by the participant and the stored performance information.
USER INTEREST DETECTION FOR CONTENT GENERATION
Systems, devices, and techniques are disclosed for user interest detection for content generation. A set of time series data including user interactions with computer accessible resources may be received. A set of expected event data may be received. Irregular event data may be received. A prediction of user interest in an event, including an identification of the event, a time of the event, and levels of user interest before, during and after the time of the event may be generated from the set of time series data, the set of expected event data, and the set of irregular event data. An item of content may be displayed to a user at a time based on the prediction of user interest in the event.
PROACTIVE INTELLIGENT PERSONAL ASSISTANT
Non-limiting examples of the present disclosure describe proactive action by an intelligent personal assistant application/service to improve functionality of one or more applications. In one example, an intelligent personal assistant service may interface with a messaging application to analyze a message thread within the messaging application. The intelligent personal assistant service may analyze the message thread by evaluating context of message content within the message thread. Analysis of the message thread may occur proactively without requiring an explicit request for assistance from a user of a processing device. In response to the analyzing of the message thread, the intelligent personal assistant service may proactively provide a cue that includes content retrieved by the intelligent personal assistant service. An input may be received to include the cue within the message thread. In response to receiving the input, the cue may be displayed within the message thread. Other examples are also described.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROVISIONING OPTIMIZED CONTENT TO CUSTOMERS
A method and an apparatus for provisioning optimized content to customers are disclosed. The method includes determining at least one attribute associated with a customer active on a web interface associated with an enterprise. A plurality of baseline contents and a plurality of content elements are accessed from a database and at least one baseline content and at least one content element are selected based on the at least one attribute associated with the customer. A customized advertisement is generated using the at least one baseline content and the at least one content element.
Providing content based on event related information
Systems and methods for selecting content based on an event associated with a device identifier are provided. One or more processors can receive a request to serve content. The processors can identify a device identifier associated with the request. The processors can determine, from the device identifier, an event for which to serve content. The processors can determine, from the request, a length of time between a time the request to serve content is received and a time at which the event is scheduled to occur. The processors can select, based on the determined length of time and event parameters associated with the event, content for display and provide the selected content for display at a computing device associated with the device identifier.
CHAT SYSTEM, METHOD OF TRANSMITTING ADVERTISEMENTS, AND RECORDING MEDIUM
A chat system includes a server configured to manage match situation data indicating a situation of a match, chat data indicating content of chats corresponding to the match, and advertisement data relating to advertisements, and transmit the match situation data, the chat data, and the advertisement data; and a chat terminal configured to receive the match situation data, the chat data, and the advertisement data transmitted from the server, generate the chat data, and transmit the generated chat data to the server. The server transmits the advertisement data to the chat terminal based on the match situation data.
