System and method for providing enhanced user-sponsor interaction in a media environment, including support for shake action
Described herein are techniques for streaming digital media content, such as music, video, or television content. In accordance with an embodiment, the system includes support for delivery of media content with enhanced user-sponsor interaction. User interaction with a media device can be provided by, for example, voice or tactile command, in addition or as an alternative to the device's regular user interface. For example, a user can interact with an advertisement or other sponsor-directed content, by speaking to or shaking their device, to signal a preference for a particular type of content or advertisement. As another example, a spoken or shake action can be used to trigger or to pause an advertisement break within a media stream, so that the user can control advertisement breaks to better suit their particular lifestyle.

The present invention relates to a method and system for managing mobile offer records. The system may receive a query from a user including a shopping list comprising a plurality of items and a maximum price for a set of item descriptions of the shopping list. The system may identify a location of a mobile device. The system may obtain a plurality of offer records based on the location of the mobile device, the shopping list, and the maximum price. The system may normalize the plurality of offer records based on a value of the offer records. The system may rank the plurality of offer records based on the normalization.
Presenting suggestion content in reaction to content generation
Content is presented to a user in reaction to the user generating content on an online system, such as a social networking system. A user with a role associated with a page provides content to the system to deliver to users of the system. The social networking system generates a content item based on the provided content, and can associate that content with the page or entity associated with the page. After generating the content item, the system presents reaction content items to the user. Reaction content items contain content that is useful and relevant to the user regarding the content that the user has created or regarding future content. The system determines a measure of relevance of the eligible reaction content items and displays reaction content items to the user based on the measure of relevance determined for each reaction content item.
Targeted advertising system and method for drivers
An advertising system and its method of use are disclosed. The advertising system includes at least one sensor coupled to a fixed location, where the at least one sensor is configured to generate an impression based on at least one characteristic of a proximate automobile, at least one processor configured to receive the impression, at least one server, having an advertising database and a user database, and at least one delivery mechanism. Preferably, the advertising database contains information relating to at least one advertisement and the user database is configured to check if the at least one characteristic matches an existing entry for a user, and either associate that impression with a user or create a new entry for the impression.

OPTIMIZING UTILIZATION AND MARKETING OF CAR WASHES
A first data packet can be received from an origination terminal at a remote server operatively coupled to the origination terminal and an end user terminal. The first data packet can have a plurality of offers and image or video data acquired by an image/video sensor. The image or video data can be processed by the remote server using an image processing algorithm to estimate a current idle time associated with the origination terminal. One or more aspects of the plurality of offers can be controlled by the remote server based on the current idle time. A second data packet including the plurality of offers can be transmitted to the end user terminal by the remote server. A selection of a preferred offer of the plurality of offers can be received from the end user terminal at the remote server. The preferred offer can be provided to the origination terminal.
SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND APPARATUS FOR PROVIDING CONTENT TO RELATED COMPUTE DEVICES BASED ON OBFUSCATED LOCATION DATA
Some embodiments described herein relate to receiving obfuscated location data associated with a first compute device, such as a mobile phone. A database including records of multiple compute devices, including a second compute device, associated with multiple obfuscated locations can be accessed and a link between the first compute device and the second compute device can be defined based, at least in part on the obfuscated location data associated with the first compute device matching a record for the second compute device. In some embodiments, the first compute device and/or the second compute device can receive content based, at least in part on the link.
Apparatus, System and Method for Facilitating User-Selection of a Commercial Content Provider and Replacing Ad Content Receive with Search Results with Ads from Another Content Provider
An Internet-based Commercial Content Provider Controller (CCPC) system and method allows individual users to select and modify the commercial content provider, and control which of the commercial content providers is used for providing advertisements that are imbedded with Web pages that the user receives in response to the search requests. The system allows the user to choose the preferred Commercial Content Provider (CCP) and participate in the financial benefits from the delivery of the commercial content to the user from the CCPs.
CCPC maintains a database of ad formats, and allows to replace ads appearing in the Web page and search engine results by reference to the ad pattern database of commonly used ad pattern for the Web sites and for different CCPs. The CCPC allows identification of the user-preferred CCP, automatic recognition of the CCP that is returned with Web search results, automatic generation of a request to a different user-preferred CCP, receiving commercial content from the user-preferred CCP and automatically substituting the received content in place of the original commercial content in the search results.
CCPC also allows to selectively block or blank out ads from certain CCPs, and substitute ads from other CCPs with ads that are separately received from the user-preferred CCP.
Systems and methods for providing group promotions
Systems, apparatus, and methods for providing promotion to networked consumer device groups are discussed herein. Some embodiments may include a system including one or more servers with processing circuitry configured to provide consumer interfaces to consumer devices that facilitate the sharing of a group promotion via a network between the consumer devices. The sharing may include the creation of the group promotion, the transmission of the group promotion to consumers via various communication channels, the tracking of consumer activity toward a group discount, among other things. For example, subsequent to purchase of a promotion via a consumer device, the processing circuitry may provide a sharing channel display to the consumer device for consumer selection of a communication channel for sharing the group promotion. The processing circuitry may create an impression of the group promotion compatible with the selected communication channel and provide the impression to other consumer devices.
