A customer uses a mobile device to verbally request an offer that includes an incentive to transact at a merchant's brick and mortar store in the customer's local community in exchange for the merchant's agreement to make an auditable donation to a charity serving the local community. Business rules limit the merchant's charitable donations over calendar periods, which donations can be made directly by the merchant to the community charity, or indirectly to the charity by way of a blind donation made by the merchant to a donation disbursement agency acting on the merchant's behalf to satisfy the merchant's commitment to donate.

A system may include a digital promotions server that includes a processor and a memory coupled thereto for storing digital promotions products each having a respective promotional value associated therewith. The system may also include a mobile wireless communications device that includes a display, an input device, and wireless communications circuitry carried by a portable housing. A controller may be coupled to the wireless communications circuitry and the display and configured to retrieve selected digital promotions from the digital promotions server and display graphical representations each corresponding to one of the selected digital promotions. The controller may also be configured to cooperate with the input device to determine a pattern of movement of a user's finger connecting the graphical representations, and generate a new digital promotion having a promotional value that is greater than a sum of respective promotional values of the connected the graphical representations.

A method for transmitting a campaign notification message to a shopper mobile computing device includes receiving a condition set from a computing device corresponding to a user for generating the campaign notification message. The condition set includes a defined campaign type, at least one proximity detection device activated by the user and at least one proximity-based delivery parameter indicating campaign content related to the defined campaign type, wherein the campaign content is associated with a corresponding range of proximities in relation to the activated proximity detection device. The method also includes receiving proximity information from the shopper mobile computing device indicating a proximity of the shopper mobile computing device in relation to the activated proximity detection device. The method also includes generating the campaign notification message based on the received condition set and the received proximity information and transmitting the campaign notification message to the mobile computing device.

The at least one processing device may be programmed to process the plurality of images to identify an activity occurring in the environment of the user; associate the activity with an activity category; and cause transmission of at least the activity category to a remotely located computing device via the communications interface.

The present disclosure discloses methods and systems for enhancing shopping experience in physical stores. The method includes receiving at least one persona associated with a user based on one or more of: ethnographic data obtained from a user, demographic data associated with the user, buying behavioral data associated with the user, and social networking data associated with the user. After this, one or more historical activities of the user inside one or more physical stores are received. Also, one or more constraints associated with the user are received. Once received, the at least one persona, the one or more constraints, and the one or more historical activities are analyzed to generate a pre-defined number of personalized recommendations. Finally, the personalized recommendations are displayed to the user within a window of a user interface.

This document presents a system and method for improving advertising targeting through the use of a Relevancy Score for clients accessing a marketplace. The improved technology may combine advertiser information from those businesses participating in a marketplace with client request information. The improvement defines and selects ads and ad-campaigns based upon how relevant the ads or ad-campaigns selected are for the customers to be targeted to view ads from the client. The Relevancy Score may be based upon ad attributes and weights of the attributes, or may be supplied by a client to optimize the selection and presentation of ads or ad-campaigns to a client that meet or exceed a Relevancy Score prepared or provided to the system.
