The monetization of downloadable files associated with a custodial host site based on resolving custodianship to a referrer publisher with subsequent presentation of monetized content within a modal overlay is disclosed. A request from a client device has a resource identifier and a referrer publisher identifier. The modal overlay is concurrently displayed with the transfer of the downloadable file to the client device.

A system and method may add to a web page a similar-content module which may contain information related to the context of the web page, may look like a portion of the web page, and may lead to a jump page which presents information in the similar-content module in more detail and contains an advertiser's advertisement or a link to an advertiser's web page. If a user is interested in the information in the similar-content module, he may click on the module and be sent to the jump page. Displaying the similar-content module will not cost any advertiser anything. A pay per impression advertiser will not be charged until its advertisement is displayed on the jump page, and a pay per click advertiser will not be charged until its link in the jump page is clicked on.

The method includes causing the generation of at least one signature for each of at least one input multimedia content element, wherein each signature represents a concept, wherein each concept is a collection of signatures and metadata describing the concept; correlating the concepts represented by the generated signatures to determine at least one context of the at least one input multimedia content element; determining, based on the at least one context of the at least one input multimedia content element, at least one contextually relevant reference multimedia content element, wherein each contextually relevant multimedia content element has a context matching at least one of the determined at least one context above a predetermined threshold; and causing an overlay of the at least one contextually relevant reference multimedia content element on the at least one input multimedia content element.

An example system may include instructions to control processor(s) to receive text from content of a first web page, determine, based on the content, a first title topic indicator, a first sentiment indicator, and a first text subjectivity indicator, apply the first title topic indicator, the first sentiment indicator, and the first text subjectivity indicator to a credibility machine learning model to generate a first content credibility score and a first content bias score for the text of the first web page, the credibility machine learning model being trained on text from other web pages using known title topic indicators, known sentiment indicators, and known text subjectivity indicators, and known credibility scores and bias scores, generate a first graphical representation for the first content credibility score and the first bias credibility score, and provide the graphical representation to a first digital device.
