Generating product decisions
The present invention relates to a system and method for generating business decisions. Embodiments of this system and method receive customer transaction data and additional information (cumulatively referred to as modeling data). This data is utilized to generate a product decision tree which models consumer purchasing decisions as a tree structure. The product decision tree may be utilized by the system to analyze demand for a given leaf (product) in association with other related products. In some embodiments, customers are segmented into groupings of customers who have similar attributes, including similar shopping behaviors. Customer insights are generated for the customer segments. The customer insights and the product decision tree are used to generate business plans, which may then be provided to a store for implementation. These plans may include a product assortment plan, an everyday pricing plan, a promotional plan, and a markdown plan.
Information processing method, program, and terminal
An information processing method to be carried out by a terminal that is configured to communicate with an electronic device, is provided. The electronic device is configured to manage information related to a vehicle that is provided with a display device for displaying an advertisement, and the information processing method may include: receiving vehicle usage fee information related to a vehicle usage fee for the vehicle from the electronic device through a communication interface of the terminal, the vehicle usage fee for the vehicle being based on advertisement information related to the advertisement displayed on the display device of the vehicle and information related to an advertisement display situation where the advertisement is displayed on the display device; and displaying a first display that is based on the vehicle usage fee information, in a display area of the terminal.
DETERMINING ITEM RECOMMENDATIONS FROM MERCHANT DATA
Transaction modification based on modeled profiles is described. In an example, transaction data can be received by a payment processing system. The payment processing system can generate, using a trained model, profiles. Based at least in part on (i) receiving an indication that a buyer and a merchant are engaged in, or likely to be engaged in, a transaction and (ii) determining that a characteristic of the transaction corresponds to a profile, generating a communication to enable the buyer or the merchant to modify the transaction in association with processing of the transaction.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR INFERRING MATCHES AND LOGGING-IN OF ONLINE USERS ACROSS DEVICES
Systems and methods are disclosed for associating a plurality of Internet-enabled devices with a common user profile for targeting Internet content or advertising. One method includes: receiving, from a plurality of Internet-enabled devices, a plurality of requests for electronic content or advertising; extracting, from each of the plurality of requests, a source IP address and a unique identifier associated with the respective Internet-enabled device; identifying each possible pair of devices from which requests were received; calculating for each possible pair of devices a probability that the pair of devices are owned or operated by a common user; and prompting a user to either confirm a characteristic of a prior browsing session or to log-in to an account associated with the common user based on a comparison of the calculated probability to one or more thresholds.
MOBILE ADVERTISING SYSTEM
Systems, methods, apparatuses and articles of manufacture for mobile advertisement systems are disclosed. A mobile advertising system in accordance with the present disclosure comprises a device capable of determining a geolocation of the device, at least one sensor, coupled to the device, for determining at least a motion of the device, a display, coupled to the device in which the display faces in a direction; and a camera, coupled to the device, in which the camera captures an scene in the direction, in which the device sends at least one image to the display based at least in part on the geolocation of the device, the determined motion of the device, and the scene in the direction, and the display shows the at least one image in the direction.
Method and system for dynamically incorporating advertising content into multimedia environments
Methods and systems for dynamically incorporating advertising content into multimedia environments, such as games, are provided. Example embodiments include a dynamic inserter, which selects content, based upon a set of criteria, to deliver to a receiving client system, such as a game client. The game client typically dynamically determines locations with the game where advertisements may be inserted. Associated with these locations are ad tags that specify criteria for the ads. For example, the criteria may include ad type, ad genre, and scheduling information. The game client then sends indications of these ad tags to the dynamic inserter to be used to select appropriate ads. The dynamic inserter selects ads based upon the criteria and sends them to the game client, which selects them for ad tags with conforming criteria. The game client then renders the selected ad in the appropriate location. In one embodiment, the dynamic inserter comprises a game client, game server, ad server, a communications channel, and, optionally, an ad client.
Methods and systems for recommending media assets based on the geographic location at which the media assets are frequently consumed
Methods and systems are provided herein for recommending a media asset based on a geographic location at which that media asset was frequently consumed. For example, the system may monitor a location, such as New York City or Times Square, to determine popular media assets watched there, such as The Avengers, and when another user visits New York City, the system may then notify the user that the movie, such as The Avengers, is associated with New York City. The system stores the geographic locations associated with the media asset in the database based on the consumption of the media asset so that other users may be notified which media assets are associated with each geographic location.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR USING VIDEO METADATA TO ASSOCIATE ADVERTISEMENTS THEREWITH
A system for using metadata from a video signal to associate advertisements therewith, comprising (i) a segmentation system to divide the video signal into video clips, (ii) a digitizing system for digitizing the video clips, (iii) a feature extraction system for extracting audio and video features from each video clip, associating each audio feature with respective video clips, associating each video feature with respective video clips, and saving the audio and video features into an associated metadata file, (iv) a web interface to the feature extraction system for receiving the video clips, and (v) a database, wherein video signals and associated metadata files are stored and indexed, wherein the associated metadata file is provided when a video player requests the corresponding video signal, enabling selection of a relevant advertisement for presentment in conjunction with respective video clips based on the associated audio and video features of the respective video clip.
Methods and computer-readable media for enabling secure online transactions with simplified user experience
A method, which comprises determining a logical identifier used for communication over a network portion managed by a service provider and transmitting to a computing apparatus adapted to effect online transactions involving a payer and a payee an indication of the service provider having agreed to act as the payer for at least one online transaction requested by a requesting device that uses the logical identifier. Also, a method, which comprises determining a logical identifier used to identify a device during a request for an online transaction; identifying, based on the logical identifier, a third party that has agreed to act as a payer for the online transaction; providing a user of the device with an opportunity to confirm the third party as the payer for the online transaction; and completing the online transaction based on input from the user.
Courier network management
In some examples, a service provider may determine, for a time of day and a day of a week, orders received by individual merchants of a plurality of merchants over a past period of time. The service provider may further determine, for the time of day and day of the week, based at least in part on the orders received over the past period of time, a first merchant predicted to receive an order. Based at least in part on a pickup location of the first merchant, the service provider may send a communication to a first courier device associated with a first courier of a plurality of couriers. For example, the communication may include location information for a recommended location to which the first courier is to move to be in position for picking up an order from the merchant that is predicted to receive the order.
