A system configured to be coupled with a participant of an activity. The system comprises: a participant activity monitoring unit configured for monitoring a performance of the activity by the participant; an activity information module configured for storing performance information corresponding to the activity; and a participant performance correlator configured for delivering comparative performance data based on the monitored performance of the activity by the participant and the stored performance information.

A system for managing advertisements in an in-flight entertainment (IFE) system operating on an airplane can include an inventory processing device and a non-transitory computer readable medium. The non-transitory computer readable medium can be communicatively coupled to the inventory processing device to cause the inventory processing device to perform operations. The operations can include determining an inventory of targeted advertisements for future flights. The operations can further include receiving a request to use a portion of the inventory for advertisements associated with an advertiser. The operations can further include transmitting instructions to an IFE controller on-board the airplane to cause the IFE controller to provide the advertisements during targeted advertisement opportunities during a flight.

A front-end image acquisition component acquires photographs and/or videos of the exterior of a vehicle traveling on a path between a first predefined location and a second predefined location. In one aspect, an image acquisition system comprises a first camera support structure, a second camera support structure, an image processor, and a memory. Cameras are affixed to each of the camera support structures for acquiring image data of a subject vehicle. Image data is controlled by the image processor and the memory. In another aspect, an image acquisition system comprises a first camera tower, a second camera tower, a camera boom. Cameras are affixed to each of the camera towers. In another aspect, a method of identifying features of the exterior of a vehicle includes acquiring a series of images from a front-end component, accessing previously acquired images and associated metadata stored in a database, executing machine learning algorithms using the previously acquired information to identify at least one exterior vehicle feature, and executing machine learning algorithms using the presently acquired series of images to identify at least one exterior feature of the vehicle.

Digital license plates having a range of physical and digital antitheft features are disclosed. Disengagement of the digital license plate from the vehicle triggers at least one of a wireless theft communication signal and the internal theft status indicator. Input of security credentials can prevent triggering the internal theft status indicator and disablement of the digital license plate.

A vehicle identification system includes one or more displays associated with a vehicle, and a network-accessible controller. The one or more displays are located to be visible from an exterior of the vehicle. The controller is adapted to generate a first signal with an identifier to be transmitted to a mobile communication device associated with a vehicle or its driver in response to receiving a ride request from a user. The mobile communication device associated with the vehicle or its driver is adapted to generate a second signal indicative of the identifier to be transmitted to the one or more displays. The controller is also adapted to generate a further signal for displaying an advertisement on the one or more displays.

The method may include generating a persona of the user using information associated with the user and information in context of the vehicle, obtaining a plurality of real-time parameters associated with the vehicle as the vehicle is being driven by the user, dynamically modelling a two-way conversation model based on the persona of the user and the plurality of real-time parameters associated with the vehicle, and engaging the user in a two-way conversation using the two-way conversation model to provide personalized information about the vehicle in real-time.

A computer implemented method for selectively delivering content to transportation network company passengers is provided. The method embodies a systemic software application adapted to acquire travel data from the transportation network company platform so as to utilize such data, at least in part, to selectively determine and deliver audio and video content to the transportation network company passenger associated with the respective travel data by way of a content database/server.

A vehicle messaging system is provided. The vehicle messaging system includes a message panel configured to join the vehicle. The message panel includes a secondary power source in addition to the primary power source provided by the vehicle. The message panel includes a thermostat, a heating portion, and a cooling portion that together maintain the message panel at a pre-determined temperature. The message panel also includes alert systems, protection panels, and an image capturing device.

The vehicle control system/method for adapting a control function based on a user profile may comprise: a gesture recognition module; a user profile module; a function control module; a processor; a non-transitory storage element coupled to the processor; encoded instructions stored in the non-transitory storage element, wherein the encoded instructions when implemented by the processor, configure the system to: identify a user; retrieve a user profile for the identified user; receive at a gesture recognition module, an input indicating a gesture from the user; identify a control function request corresponding to the gesture input; send a verification of the control function request; and receive at a function control module characteristics parsed from the user profile that effect the control function request by the user profile module to adapt a control function command for an adapted control function output by the function control module.
