System and methods for providing recommendations
A method provides personalized recommendations to a mobile device associated with a user. The method includes obtaining an event log from the one or more sensors embedded in the mobile device associated with the user. The event log is analyzed by a processor of the present invention to identify one or more attributes associated with the surroundings of the mobile device. A method selects one or more recommendations to be sent to the mobile device associated with the user. In additional embodiments, methods record the response received to the recommendations and using the recorded responses to further select more personalized recommendations.
Method and apparatus for providing mobile advertising service in mobile advertising system
A method and apparatus is provided for providing a mobile advertising service in a mobile advertising system, and for sharing a preference to deliver a personalized advertisement requested by a particular group member to other users. In a method for providing a mobile advertising service by a server of a mobile advertising system, a group creation request message including a user list and a group user preference is received from an advertising engine, a group is created according to the user list and the group user preference in the group creation request message, a response message to the group creation request message is sent to the advertising engine, an advertisement request message is received from one of advertising engines included in the user list, an advertisement appropriate for the group user preference is selected, and the selected advertisement is delivered to at least one advertising engine included in the user list. The at least one advertising engine is included in the same group.

Systems and methods for implementing point of advertising purchasing include using mass media publications configured for or containing service, product or vendor transmittable signals, such as from radio frequency identification tags. Systems and methods for social sharing and online publishing of advertisement messages concerning products or services. In one embodiment, an advertising message associated with a radio frequency identification based transmission may be published online by a user of a wireless ordering device. The users sharing of such messages may serve as an endorsement of the brand, product or service. A system, such as a commerce data organization system and/or vendor system, may then reward or credit the message sharer (e.g., consumer affiliate) based on variables the vendor or advertiser chooses, such as social influence, audience reach and performance based metrics. Systems and methods for using wireless beacons in point of purchase (“POP”) displays to facilitate the delivery of consumer oriented content to mobile devices is disclosed. Wireless beacons may be used to broadcast wireless signals from POP displays, where the wireless signals include data packets with unique identifiers for the wireless beacons. The wireless signals may be received by mobile devices. A remote server may communicate with the mobile device and provide the mobile device with up-to-date content associated with the POP displays. A geographic location of the mobile device may be assessed and used to determine if the mobile device is at an acceptable location for displaying the up-to-date content.

The method further provides receiving a response to the offer from the user, wherein the response comprises an indication of whether the user desires to accept the offer.

In general, the invention relates to a system and method of operating a shopping system to facilitate payment using a mobile device. A network is configured to include a server programmed with a personal characteristic database, a database searching algorithm, and to be coupled to a wireless communication system that is capable of communicating with the user's personal data device. The user logs on through the wireless communication system to the secure network using her personal data device, and communicates to and stores in the database personal data defining her characteristics. Either the secure network automatically identifies the first users precise geographic location, or the user himself otherwise indicates and stores in the database of the network an identifying address that indicates his current specific geographic location. Personal data defining the user's characteristics are then sent to a business location at the user's location to facilitate a payment transaction.
