20180197211 · 2018-07-12 ·

An approach is provided for generating a promotion at a checkout. A purchase history of a customer who is purchasing item(s) at the checkout is retrieved. Based on the retrieved purchase history, the customer is determined to have made purchases of an item consistently over a time period prior to a time of the checkout. The item is determined to be not included in the item(s) being purchased at the checkout. It is determined that no promotion is currently available for a purchase of the item at the checkout and that promotion(s) were applied to the purchases of the item made by customer over the time period. Based on the aforementioned determinations, the promotion is dynamically generated at the checkout for a purchase of the item in a current transaction and/or future transaction(s). The promotion is generated for use by the customer and not any other customer.

A wireless device is enabled to provide offers. The wireless device receives card data for a financial account card and stores the card data in a memory associated with the wireless device. Responsive to using the card data in a transaction at a first merchant location, the wireless device receives transaction line-item data from a computing system associated with the first merchant location. The wireless device determines merchant information for a second merchant location and determines an offer associated with the second merchant location based on the line-item data and the merchant information for the second merchant. The wireless device presents the offer when the wireless device is near the second merchant location.

A plurality of physical panel, rod, curtain, blade, and fin video display arrays are described, as are methods and systems for managing and editing video for display and powering a video display that is associated with an architectural feature.

DISPLAYING TARGETED MESSAGES ON DISPLAY SCREENS OF AUTOMATED STORAGE AND RETRIEVAL TERMINALS

Automated storage and retrieval terminals are disclosed. In some examples, an automated storage and retrieval terminal includes an electronic access system, a display screen, and a control system. The control system is configured for determining that a user present at the automated storage and retrieval terminal is authorized to access a package from a locker and, in response, causing the electronic access system to provide the user access to the first package. The control system is further configured for displaying, based on user information provided by the user at the automated storage and retrieval terminal or package information stored by the control system as part of storing the first package in the first locker or both, a targeted message for the user on the display screen.

A method of providing storing and viewing purchase receipts that are associated with purchases made in the presence of a specific mobile device, comprising the steps: providing a server; providing a database; providing at least one point of sale terminal; and providing an intercept module. Users with mobile devices may engage the mobile devices with the point of sale terminal during payments to capture the transaction data. The mobile device may have a unique identification. The intercept module may intercept a print command and the server may associate the purchase receipt with the unique identification. The receipt, now associated with the unique identification, may be stored, associated with an advertisement, printed, and/or displayed.

INFORMATION TRANSMITTING APPARATUS

Product related information desired by a customer is caused to be preferentially acquired by the customer even when a part of light incident on a POP advertisement is blocked by the customer. An information transmitting apparatus (1) includes a transmitting unit that transmits the product related information as a radio signal; a fluorescent concentrating plate (11) that emits fluorescent light upon reception of incident light from both surfaces of at least a front surface and a back surface and guides the fluorescent light; and a solar cell (13) that provides the transmitting unit with power generated upon reception of the fluorescent light. The fluorescent concentrating plate (11) functions as at least a part of a POP advertisement for a product and the solar cell (13) is arranged at an end of the fluorescent concentrating plate (11) so as to be able to receive the fluorescent light.

Systems and methods for using wireless beacons in point of purchase (POP) displays to facilitate the delivery of consumer oriented content to mobile devices is disclosed herein. Wireless beacons may be used to broadcast wireless signals from POP displays, where the wireless signals include data packets with unique identifiers for the wireless beacons. A first wireless signal from a first POP display may be received by a mobile device. The mobile device may also receive a second wireless signal from a second POP display at the same retail locatin. The mobile device may provide the first and second unique identifiers to a remote server. The remote server may know the location of one of the POP displays and assess the retail location of the other POP display based on the receiving both unique identifiers from the same retail location.

20180150876 · 2018-05-31 ·

A system is described that includes a marker on a product being purchased at a point of sale. This marker provides the information on the product, but also its estimated replacement date. The information is sent to a management system which stores it in a memory storage device, the system then sends a reminder to the customer's portable computing device to remind him/her that it is time to repurchase the product. Optionally, the customer can opt in to allow the system to automatically purchase the product when it determines that it is time to repurchase the product. In another embodiment, the product has sensors which measure wear. Product sensors are located at entrances to building and other locations which receive readings from the wear detection devices on the product. These readings indicate when it is time to replace the product. The customer is notified, and if the customer previously opted-in, the system purchases a replacement product.
