According to one aspect, the subject matter described herein includes a system for performing secure mobile payment and non-payment transactions with integrated loyalty, rewards, and promotions. A mobile backend server (MBE) stores and maintains payment and non-payment account information for users, and presents a list of available payment and non-payment instruments to the user prior to the user's interaction with a merchant for shopping, item selection, or checkout. In response to detecting an interaction between the user and a merchant for shopping, item selection, or checkout, the MBE determines incentives that are available to the user, presents the available incentives to the user for selection prior to completion of a payment or non-payment transaction with the merchant, and determines which of the available incentives and payment instruments are selected by the user. The incentives and/or transaction amounts presented to the user are dynamically updated based on the user selection.

TECHNIQUES FOR IN-STORE PRESCRIPTION NOTIFICATIONS

A mobile device and a server exchange information in response to the mobile device detecting a proximity beacon. Upon detecting the proximity beacon, the mobile device initiates a web service call to the server. A mobile device user will indicate a choice whether to opt-in upon registration. If the user has opted in, the server will retrieve additional information about the user including prescription information. The server will transmit prescription information and other marketing information to the mobile device. The server may be configured to receive additional information from the mobile device, for example, a request for a prescription to be refilled.

SYSTEM AND METHODS FOR DETERMINING LOCATION OF POP DISPLAYS WITH WIRELESS BEACONS USING MOBILE APPLICATIONS ON MOBILE DEVICES
20170053315 · 2017-02-23 ·

Systems and methods for using wireless beacons in point of purchase (POP) displays to facilitate the delivery of consumer oriented content to mobile devices is disclosed herein. Wireless beacons may be used to broadcast wireless signals from POP displays, where the wireless signals include data packets with unique identifiers for the wireless beacons. A wireless signal from a POP display may be received by a mobile device. The mobile device may provide the unique identifier in the wireless signal and a retail location of the mobile device to a remote server. The retail location of the mobile device may be provided by a mobile application (e.g., a retailer app) on the mobile device. The remote server may determine the retail location of the POP display by associating the retail location of the mobile device with the wireless beacon.

Systems and methods for using wireless beacons in point of purchase (POP) displays to facilitate the delivery of consumer oriented content to mobile devices is disclosed herein. A wireless beacon may be used to transmit a wireless signal from a POP display, where the wireless signal includes a first data packet with a unique identifier for the wireless beacon. The wireless signal from the wireless beacon may be received by a mobile device. The mobile device may provide a second data packet to a remote server. The second data packet may include the unique identifier, a time stamp, and a geographic location of the mobile device. The remote server may retrieve retail locations associated with the promotional campaign and a selected time period associated with the POP display from a database coupled to the remote server. The remote server may associate the POP display with the selected retail location.

System and method for wireless software download and remote transaction settlement

A portable computer in a store can be carried past a kiosk and wirelessly receive from the kiosk demonstration versions of software, along with an ID of the store. Later, after using the demonstration version, the user can access a Web server and purchase a full version of the software. During the transaction, the store ID is provided to the server, which can then credit the particular store at which the demonstration version was obtained with a sale.
