In various embodiments, a mobile phone apparatus is provided for: storing, at an electronic device, payment information for a payment account; detecting, at the electronic device, that a mechanical input was locally received at the electronic device; and in response to detecting that the mechanical input has been locally received at the device, enabling, at the electronic device, the payment information to be accessed.

System and method for promoting mobility and logistics of goods services based on advertisements. The system allows the user to be given the freedom to choose and hire the service and the price of the service they want, based on a series of advertisements that promote the services of the drivers before an audience of potential customers generated by an operating system to show the offer of the drivers, of their services of transport of people and/or logistics and delivery of goods. The customers create their own community of favorite and trusted drivers to more easily hire that community of drivers when a service is required. The driver and the customer can agree on special and fixed prices between both parties so that the customer can hire their favorite and trusted drivers on a regular basis with the certainty that the prices are those agreed between both parties.

Disclosed are techniques for processing user profiles using data structures that are specialized for processing by a GPU. More particularly, the disclosed techniques relate to systems and methods for evaluating characteristics of user profiles to determine whether to offload certain user profiles to the GPU for processing or to process the user profiles locally by one or more central processing units (CPUs). Processing user profiles may include comparing the interest tags included in the user profiles with logic trees, for example, logic trees representing marketing campaigns, to identify user profiles that match the campaigns.

Technology is described for providing targeted electronic advertisements on an aircraft. A server onboard the aircraft may establish a connection with a client device onboard the aircraft. The server may identify a user profile associated with a user of the client device. The user profile may include itinerary information for the user of the client device. The server may select a targeted electronic advertisement based in part on the itinerary information. The targeted electronic advertisement may be selected from a data store of electronic advertisements. The targeted electronic advertisement may be sent to the client device to be displayed using a graphical user interface on the client device.

In an information processing device, a category setting unit sets a plurality of categories to a product, the category being a division representing characteristics of the product. A recommended product specifying unit specifies the product to be recommended to a customer as a recommended product. A display category specifying unit specifies a display category to be displayed as an advertisement, based on a condition including a customer attribute, from among the plurality of categories set to the recommended product. A display control unit displays a category display screen for displaying the display category on a display device.

A server receives incoming data records comprising an ID value and respective user attributes corresponding to a user activity that originates at a user device. Characteristics of the activity and/or characteristics of the user device are considered in order to assign a probabilistic confidence value, which is in turn used to generate links from an incoming data record to other previously-received data records, and in so doing, generates a probabilistic link between one set of user attributes from the incoming data record and another set of user attributes from previously-received data records. A messaging campaign specification that describes target user attributes is used to identify a matching set of target audience member records. The determination of a match or not is based on the probabilistic confidence value and a threshold can be varied to extend audience reach. The identified set of target audience member records are transmitted over a network.

Systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer program products, for configuring online properties, such as content pages of a website, through an online user interface. A system generates the online user interface and receives, over a network and through the online user interface presented by a client device, a request to insert a restricted third party file into a user's online property. The online user interface is updated to inform the user that inclusion of the third party file in the user's online property is restricted and to provide the user with options for satisfying requirements for including the third party file in the user's online property. In response to detecting a user selection of at least one of the options, the restricted third party file is received from a content repository, and is inserted into the user's online property.

An online system trains machine learning models that, when applied to gathered sensor data, determines personal characteristics (e.g., age, gender, height) of an individual in a non-intrusive manner. Specifically, the online system trains a first machine learning model that analyzes sensor data gathered from a client device associated with the individual. The first machine learning model determines whether a trigger event, such as whether the individual is walking, is currently occurring. A second machine learning model trained by the online system analyzes sensor data corresponding to the trigger event to identify the personal characteristics of the walking individual.

A method for facilitating business-to-business payments. Invoice data and customer data from are received from a vendor; defined mapping data is received from a vendor; standardized invoice data is generated from the transformation of the invoice data based on the defined mapping data; standardized customer data is generated from the transformation of the customer data based on the defined mapping data; the standardized invoice data is transmitted to a customer and at least one of an invoice payment and an invoice payment confirmation are received from the customer. A payment system may comprise memory storing executable instructions and a processing device executing the instructions, the instructions causing the processing device to perform the method.

A method for identifying causative ailments or conditions for health-related symptoms of an animal. Information from a pet profile database and symptoms are received. First-tier data options are selected by a user and an algorithm analyzes them using information from a medical knowledge database. Data options associated with each successive tier are determined by the algorithm, based on user-selected responses to data options of a prior tier and information from the medical knowledge database, presented and applicable data options selected. The algorithm conducts a statistical analysis of user-selected data options of each tier to determine numerical values indicating a likelihood that an associated ailment or condition is a cause of the symptoms. A machine learning model receives and further refines the numerical values. A report is presented setting forth refined numerical values and the ailment or condition associated with each one of the refined numerical values.
