Ceiling lift tilt management system
A ceiling lift tilt management system includes first and second motor units, which are attachable to a rail system of a medical care facility. Each motor unit includes a flexible strap, which can be coiled or uncoiled within the motor unit to raise or lower a spreader bar attached thereto. Coiling or uncoiling of the straps can cause raising or lowering of a sling attached to the spreader bars. The system also allows for tilting of the spreader bars by coiling or uncoiling a leading motor unit strap. The system includes a control system that measures the relative lengths of the two straps in order to ensure that relative tilt between the spreader bars does not exceed a threshold. Once a threshold tilt for height difference is reached, further user requests for additional tilting are prohibited. Patient comfort and safety are therefore ensured.
Airplane mobility system for passengers
The disclosure refers to an airplane's own mobility system. For supporting a passenger with reduced mobility on board an airplane and for simplifying as much as possible the use of a toilette, a mobility system for passengers with reduced mobility is provided. The mobility system includes an onboard toilette spatial unit having an entrance zone, an entrance door, and a toilette using zone with a toilette. Moreover, a movement device with a passenger carrying equipment is provided, which is moveable at least from the entrance zone to the toilette using zone and supported in the ceiling area. The passenger carrying equipment includes a seat device enabling a passenger a seat like position. For using the toilette, a passenger is movable back and forth with the movement device from the entrance zone to the toilette using zone.
Lifting System
A lifting system for a mobility device has a bracket fixed to the mobility device. A hoist connector is configured to removably connect to the bracket to provide lifting of the mobility device in use. One of the bracket and the hoist connector has a pin and the other of the bracket and the hoist connector comprises a clip, the pin having a head formation and a neck formation. The clip has an aperture configured to pass over the head formation in use and into engagement with the neck formation such that the clip is loosely held on the pin, and where the clip has a close fit with the head formation to prevent unintentional disengagement from the pin in use.
Overhead Lift Systems and Methods
An overhead lift system may include a motor and a lift strap connected to the motor. The motor raises and lowers the lift strap. A hand controller may be communicatively connected to the motor. The hand controller includes a force sensor associated with the body of the hand controller such that force applied to the body is detected with the force sensor. An orientation sensor may also be arranged within the body and determines an orientation of the hand controller. A control unit may be communicatively connected with the motor, the force sensor, and the orientation sensor. The control unit detects a force applied to the hand controller with the force sensor, determines a direction of motion of the hand controller with the orientation sensor, and provides a signal to the motor to raise or lower the lift strap based on the force and orientation of the hand controller.
MOBILE LIFT APPARATUS FOR FACILITATING CARDIOVASCULAR REHABILITATION AND TRAINING OF ELDERLY, OBESE AND INJURED PERSONS
An apparatus for facilitating cardiovascular rehabilitation and training has an overhead rigging attachable to a harness worn by a user, wherein the overhead rigging is in communication with an upper translatable member slidably joined atop a lower translatable member slidably joined to an upper support of a frame assembly. Columns of the frame assembly retain a plurality of spaced weights to which said overhead rigging is attached via cables. In this arrangement, a user may wear the harness and, via the overhead rigging and weights, have his or her weight against the ground dramatically reduced while being permitted to move about an area substantially defined by the frame assembly. As configured, the upper and lower translatable members move orthogonally to one another providing a tremendous range of motion to the user within the area substantially defined by the frame assembly.
Overhead lift units, systems, and methods for mounting and transporting an overhead lift unit
An overhead lift unit includes a carriage, a first wheel assembly, a second wheel assembly, and an actuator. The first wheel assembly includes a first wheel coupled to the carriage through a first support arm. The second wheel assembly includes a second wheel coupled to the carriage through a second support arm. The actuator is coupled to the second wheel assembly and is configured to shift the second wheel assembly in a lateral direction relative to the first wheel assembly between an expanded position and a retracted position. Lift systems including the overhead lift unit and methods of transporting the overhead lift unit to and from an overhead rail are also described.
PATIENT LIFT DEVICE AND METHOD
A patient lift for lifting and lowering a patient. Cable or rope may be used as the lifting element. The spool winds the lifting element in successive adjacent winds. The operator lifts the patient by pushing up on the carry bar, patient or lifting element, and lowers the patient by pushing down on such elements. The lift includes automatic loading and unloading for transition on or off the bed.
Patient lifting assembly
A patient lifting assembly includes a first housing that is coupled to a vertical support surface to be positioned adjacent to a user's head when the user is lying in a bed. A first cable is retracted or extended outwardly from the first housing. A first handle is coupled to the first cable and the first handle can be gripped by a user to urge the user toward the head of the bed. A second housing is coupled to a vertical support surface to be positioned adjacent to a user's feet when the user is lying in the bed. A second cable is retracted or extended outwardly from the second housing. A second handle is coupled to the second cable and the second handle can be gripped by a user to urge the user into an upright, seated position.
Medical bed apparatus
The present invention is directed towards an apparatus for holding a patient in a suspended manner on top of a bed for facilitating bed maintenance. The apparatus comprises at least one support member provided in the proximity of the bed. A hammock is disposed on the bed and is mechanically coupled to the at least one support member for being lifted and lowered by the at least one support member. The support members have a telescopic reciprocating configuration. In one embodiment, the support members include fluid operated cylinders, e.g., hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders. In another embodiment, the support member is a mechanically operating support member. The mechanically operating support member includes either a rack and pinion arrangement or a lead screw arrangement.
Rehabilitation wheelchair
Design and build new models of wheelchair also design and build equipment for installing on some types of wheelchairs that are in the market for sale, that by using them user will be able to do their personal basic daily tasks without others help. This wheelchair includes a pair of lifting members mounted on said rehabilitation wheelchair for enabling said lifting members to move upward and downward and a moving seat mounted on said rehabilitation wheelchair for enabling user to sit on toilet bowl directly, wherein said moving seat being compressed and said lifting members moving user downward and user sitting on toilet for doing toilet. The user can use this system for changing clothes, washing, doing toilet, moving body vertically up and down, using oven for cooking, picking up materials from higher places that cannot be reached by user, and all actions that involve getting up and picking up.
