Systems and methods for providing uninterrupted media content during vehicle navigation
Systems and methods are disclosed herein for providing uninterrupted media content by reordering playlists during vehicle navigation. The disclosed techniques herein determine directions from route data and navigation announcements for each of the directions. For each direction, a corresponding media asset from media assets in a playlist having a media asset duration that matches a direction duration is determined. The direction duration is the time difference between the navigation announcement and a subsequent navigation announcement.
Method and system for providing in advance information on driving actions for improving the global efficiency of a vehicle
The present invention relates to a computer implemented method for providing in advance information on driving actions for improving the global efficiency of a vehicle. The method comprising the steps of receiving vehicle technical data (VTD) from a VTD processor at a processing device; generating local information at the processing device from the received VTD and processing device information generated by the processing device; creating remote information at a remote server from the processing device information, external data provider information coming from one or more external data providers and client logistic information; and presenting the remote information and optionally the local information to the driving agent in advance of the driving action using the processing device. A system for carrying out said method comprising at least one processing device connected to a remote server is also disclosed.
BATTERY POWER MANAGEMENT APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLES AND/OR HYBRID VEHICLES
An apparatus, including a vehicle computer located at a vehicle which is an electric vehicle or hybrid vehicle; battery recharging equipment which includes a plug-in recharging system, an electric road inductive charging system, or an electric road electrified contact charging system, and a radio frequency identification (RFID) reader. The vehicle computer processes information and determines a battery charge level or a battery charge state for a battery of the vehicle, processes information to identify a battery recharging facility, and provides navigation instructions to the battery recharging facility. The RFID reader obtains information from a battery recharging system located at the battery recharging facility. The vehicle computer receives an activity report regarding the recharging of the battery by the battery recharging facility and displays information contained in the activity report. The activity report or information contained in the activity report is stored in a distributed ledger and blockchain technology system.
VEHICLE CONTROL DEVICE, VEHICLE CONTROL METHOD, AND RECORDING MEDIUM
A vehicle control device that is provided in a vehicle that runs autonomously includes a detection unit for detecting a rescue target person requiring rescue based on surrounding information of the vehicle acquired by the vehicle, and a vehicle control unit for controlling the vehicle. When the rescue target person is detected by the detection unit, the vehicle control unit performs evacuation control to stop the vehicle such that the rescue target person is able to evacuate from an outside of the vehicle into the vehicle.
Computer-implemented method, wearable device, computer program and computer readable medium for assisting the movement of a visually impaired user
In a first aspect of the invention, it is claimed a computer-implemented method for assisting the movement of a visually impaired user by means of a wearable device 1, comprising the following steps: S1—Acquiring data from the environment of the visually impaired user S2—Fusing the acquired data, creating, repeatedly updating of a Live Map S3—Determining, repeatedly updating and storing, of at least one navigation path together with associated navigation guiding instructions for the visually impaired user to navigate from the current position of the visually impaired user to a point of interest, repeatedly selecting one preferred navigation path from the at least one navigation path, and repeatedly sending to the visually impaired user the preferred navigation path, together with associated navigation guiding instructions.
INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, CONTROL METHOD, PROGRAM AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A disclosed voice guidance device or server device includes a route information acquisition unit, a position information acquisition unit, a voice guiding unit, and a notification unit. The route information acquisition unit is configured to acquire route information indicative of a route on which a moving body travels. The position information acquisition unit is configured to acquire position information of the moving body. The voice guiding unit is configured to perform a voice guidance relating to the route. The notification unit is configured to perform a notification by voice that the moving body is traveling along the route, if the moving body is travelling along the route and the voice guiding unit has not performed the voice guidance during travel of the moving body for a predetermined distance or for a predetermined amount of time.
NAVIGATION METHOD, NAVIGATION APPARATUS, DEVICE AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A navigation method and a navigation apparatus are provided. The method includes: generating a navigation route based on a navigation start-point position and a navigation end-point position; acquiring a navigation scenario of a terminal device in a process of performing a navigation based on the navigation route; acquiring, in response to determining that the navigation scenario is a preset target navigation scenario, special effect data of a virtual navigator matching the target navigation scenario; and presenting the special effect data of the virtual navigator through the terminal device.
Voice instructions during navigation
A method of providing navigation on an electronic device when the display screen is locked. The method receives a verbal request to start navigation while the display is locked. The method identifies a route from a current location to a destination based on the received verbal request. While the display screen is locked, the method provides navigational directions on the electronic device from the current location of the electronic device to the destination. Some embodiments provide a method for processing a verbal search request. The method receives a navigation-related verbal search request and prepares a sequential list of the search results based on the received request. The method then provides audible information to present a search result from the sequential list. The method presents the search results in a batch form until the user selects a search result, the user terminates the search, or the search items are exhausted.
Real-time, crowd-sourced, geo-location based system for enhancing personal safety
The disclosure describes a crowd-sourced, social network and geo-location based system for enhancing personal safety via users' mobile devices. The system shares information (including images, video, and/or audio) about crimes, fires, accidents and public safety-related events and their geo-locations. Users selectively receive notifications for such events in a map view based on the events' proximity to users or on whether the notification was initiated by a person in the users' social network. The system also shares users' status and geo-location information with previously identified persons or with all persons in their social network to let them know their geo-location and/or when they have reached a destination. Through the system's operation, a user can cause sending of a distress signal to pre-identified persons, groups within their social network, or others who are within a pre-established distance. Additionally, the system can send a distress signal if the user fails to check in.
METHOD FOR CHARACTERISING BENDS FOR WARNING DRIVERS
A method for characterizing the curvature of a road section, including: selecting, from among the points of the section, the points marking a curvature of the section; computing, for each selected point of the section contained between the second and the penultimate one, an indicator of curvature of the section at this point; identifying each bend contained in the road section, each bend including a set of successive selected points of the section; and for each bend contained in the road section, comparing the indicator of curvature of at least one of the points of the bend with a predetermined threshold. If the indicator of curvature computed for at least one of the selected points of the bend exceeds the predetermined threshold, recording, in a database, a data record including at least the set of points of the bend, and an item of data characterizing the curvature of the bend.
