Tracking Systems for Electronic Devices

An electronic device may be provided with control circuitry for locating lost items. The control circuitry may determine where an item is located and may use the display or other output device to guide a user to the item. The display may display a visual guide such as an arrow, a sphere, a circle, a compass, or other visual aid that points the user in the direction of the item. The control circuitry may change the size or other characteristic of the visual aid on the display as the distance between the electronic device and the object changes. The control circuitry may change the location of the visual aid on the display as the orientation of the electronic device relative to the object changes. The display may overlay the visual aid onto live images of the user's surroundings as they are captured by a camera.

When the automobile turns, a contradiction that occurs between information obtained by the brain through an experience of a user and information obtained by the brain through that the user views the turning-virtual space image displayed on an HMD 200 is reduced, and thus an occurrence that the autonomic nerves cause an abnormal phenomenon is suppressed.

A display system includes: a display that displays an image; and a display controller that causes the display to display a first image resembling roads around a vehicle and a second image resembling a recommended lane determined on the basis of a route to a destination set by the vehicle among the roads around the vehicle. The display controller causes the display to display the second image and a third image guiding a course of the vehicle when the vehicle has reached a second position located a predetermined distance before a first position at which the vehicle has to make a turn in the route to the destination.

Video display system for vehicle

A video display system for a vehicle includes a video display device disposed in the vehicle so as to be viewable by a driver of the vehicle. A camera is disposed at the vehicle and having an exterior field of view and operable to capture image data. A control includes a data processor. The control, responsive at least in part to processing by the data processor of captured image data, detects an object present exterior of the vehicle that is in the field of view of the camera, and determines if the detected object constitutes a hazardous condition. Responsive to determination of the hazardous condition, the control controls the video display device to automatically display an alert to the driver of the vehicle, with the alert including display of video images of the object that are derived from captured image data or a graphic overlay on displayed video images.

Context-aware voice guidance

A context-aware voice guidance method is provided that interacts with other voice services of a user device. The voice guidance does not provide audible guidance while the user is making a verbal request to any of the voice-activated services. Instead, the voice guidance transcribes its output on the screen while the verbal requests from the user are received. In some embodiments, the voice guidance only provides a short warning sound to get the user's attention while the user is speaking on a phone call or another voice-activated service is providing audible response to the user's inquires. The voice guidance in some embodiments distinguishes between music that can be ducked and spoken words, for example from an audiobook, that the user wants to pause instead of being skipped. The voice guidance ducks music but pauses spoken words of an audio book in order to provide voice guidance to the user.
