Methods and systems for providing an improved maneuver countdown bar
A method, system, and computer program product are provided for providing navigation assistance through an improved countdown bar in a user interface of a mapping application. In an example embodiment, the method may include obtaining a list of maneuvers for navigation to a destination location on the route. The list of maneuvers may include at least an upcoming maneuver and a following maneuver. The method may further include displaying by a display unit, at least the upcoming maneuver and the following maneuver and a countdown bar such that the display of the countdown bar is integrated with the display of the upcoming maneuver. The countdown bar may indicate a distance of travel between a current location and an intermediate location corresponding to the upcoming maneuver. The method may further include dynamically updating the display unit based on the distance of travel between the current location and the intermediate location.

Technologies and techniques for controlling a display of an augmented reality display device for a motor vehicle. A maneuver scheduler determines a target maneuver of the motor vehicle. An execution location of the target maneuver is determined. A graphics generator generates a target maneuver marking for a display by the augmented reality display device on the basis of the information. The target maneuver marking is outputted for display by the augmented reality display device. The target maneuver marking is displayed in such a way that the target maneuver marking is displayed in a stationary manner in the region of the execution location of the target maneuver perpendicularly on a lane to be travelled by the motor vehicle.

According to some aspects, a wearable device is provided. The wearable device includes a memory, one or more antennas, one or more processors coupled with the memory and the one or more antennas, a location manager component executable by the one or more processors and configured to determine a location of the wearable device, and a direction manager component executable by the one or more processors. The direction manager component may be configured to receive, via the one or more antennas, information descriptive of a location of the medical device, determine a path between the location of the wearable device and the location of the medical device, and provide information descriptive of the path.

Computer-vision based positioning for augmented reality navigation
Systems and methods for a more usable Augmented Reality (AR) display of navigation indications is described. A live camera image of a scene may be captured from a device. Navigation instructions may be generated from a navigation system and a navigation indication may be generated for display. A computer vision-based positioning algorithm may be performed on the camera image to determine the relative position between the viewpoint of the device and one or more landmarks in the live camera image. The location or shape of the visual display of the navigation indication may be determined based on the computer vision-based positioning algorithm.
