Map based navigation method, apparatus and storage medium
A map based navigation method, apparatus and storage medium. The method includes: acquiring a location status of a user terminal carrying a navigation client and a navigation operation of a user; and switching automatically between at least two types of navigation pages of the navigation client, based on the location status of the user terminal and the navigation operation of the user. This method can achieve an automatic switching between different types of navigation pages and satisfy different needs of the user in different situations.
Unobserved content for on demand tours
A method includes generating by a controller autonomous commands for the vehicle with an altered route such that the destination is maintained and the repeated segment is replaced with an alternate segment having unobserved tour content for the occupant. The generation is responsive to receiving a route having a destination of a vehicle and a repeated segment previously traversed by an occupant where tour content was presented to the occupant while the repeated segment was traversed.
AGENT APPARATUS, AGENT SYSTEM, AND SERVER DEVICE
An agent device includes an acquirer configured to acquire an utterance of a user of a first vehicle, and a first agent controller configured to perform processing for providing a service including causing an output device to output a response of voice in response to an utterance of the user of the first vehicle acquired by the acquirer. When there is a difference between a service which is utilized in the first vehicle and is available from one or more agent controllers including at least the first agent controller and a service which is utilized in a second vehicle and is available from one or more agent controllers, the first agent controller provides information on the difference.
Proactive Re-Routing Of Vehicles Using Passive Monitoring Of Occupant Frustration Level
Aspects of the present disclosure include a navigation system and computer-implemented methods for proactively re-routing vehicles based on an analysis of input component data obtained from the navigation-enabled devices. The navigation system scores the input component data to obtain a measure of frustration (e.g., a feeling of being upset or annoyed) of the user of the navigation-enabled device. The navigation system may provide a detour suggestion for display on the navigation-enabled device to persuade the user of the device to direct their vehicle to depart from its current location or route in an effort to remove the vehicle from traffic, and thereby reduce the frustration level of the user. The detour suggestion may include an alternative route to the original destination, or an alternative destination.
Route navigation based on user feedback
Approaches presented herein enable improving electronic (e.g., GPS) navigation for a user operating a vehicle based on feedback from the user. More specifically, a verbal comment is obtained from the user and is analyzed for a navigation instruction delivery preference. A profile associated with navigation of the vehicle, which can include a user profile, a location profile, or an ambient environment profile, is modified based on the navigation instruction delivery preference. Based on the profile associated with navigation of the vehicle, a navigation instruction is synthesized and provided to the user. A dialogue can be solicited with the user to obtain additional comments from the user, based upon which the profile associated with navigation of the vehicle can be further modified.
Apparatus and method for optimizing navigation performance
Provided is a navigation system, which is effectively used depending on driver characteristics and driving conditions, wherein display performance of DUCs including a cluster, front/rear AVNs, and operation systems thereof are controlled through a single controller.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING CONTENT TO A USER BASED ON A PREDICTED ROUTE IDENTIFIED FROM AUDIO OR IMAGES
Embodiments are directed towards providing a system that presents content to a user of a vehicle based on where the vehicle is going. A microphone captures audio signals within the vehicle, which are analyzed for route information. These audible commands may be said by a person in the vehicle, such as a passenger telling the driver where to turn, or they may be received from a mobile computing device, such as a smartphone executing a map application that is providing audible directions. An anticipated route of the vehicle is determined based on the audible route information. Content is selected and presented to the user of the vehicle based on the anticipated route. Images of a display screen of the mobile computing device may also be analyzed to identify the route information.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS TO PROVIDE CAUTIONARY DRIVING NOTIFICATIONS
Exemplary embodiments described in this disclosure are generally directed to systems and methods for providing cautionary driving notifications to a driver of an automobile. The cautionary driving notifications may be generated and stored by the driver himself/herself after driving along a travel route a few times or by a different driver who has driven along the travel route a few times. The notifications, which may be provided in various ways such as by audible warnings or beeps, warn the driver of a driving hazard or a driving limitation that is coming up as the automobile is subsequently driven along the travel route. Some examples of a driving hazard can include a traffic accident or a bad road condition. Some examples of a driving limitation can include a speed limit due to a blind curve in the road or in a school zone during certain times of the day.
Assessing personalized risk for a user on a journey
A system and method for learning and predicting personalized risk associated with a journey for a user are presented. Contextual data may be gathered and analyzed from a plurality of data sources relating to a journey of a user. A risk associated with the journey may be learned for the user according to the contextual data. One or more risk models may be generated according to the learned risks. One or more potential risks associated with a subsequent journey may be predicted using the one or more risk models.
