INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEM, PROGRAM, AND VEHICLE
An information processing device includes a control unit. The control unit acquires biometric information and occupant information of an occupant of a vehicle, estimates state information of the occupant based on the acquired biometric information, and compares the estimated state information and the acquired occupant information with past data for another occupant in which the state information and the occupant information are associated with facility information of a service facility used, to determine a service facility fit for the occupant.
METHODS AND VEHICLES FOR CAPTURING EMOTION OF A HUMAN DRIVER AND CUSTOMIZING VEHICLE RESPONSE
Methods and systems for determining an emotion of a human driver of a vehicle and using the emotion for generating a vehicle response, is provided. One example method includes processing captured voice data from the human driver over a period of time while the human driver operates the vehicle. The method includes analyzing the voice data to assist in prediction of the emotion of the human driver. The method includes generating the vehicle response. The vehicle response is selected in part based on the emotion that was predicted for the human driver.
System and method for providing route recommendation
A method performed by a platform for recommending route. The method includes receiving a first plurality of cost inputs, a second plurality of travel time inputs, and a third plurality of user associated inputs. Based on the received inputs, the method further includes recommending one or more routes to the user. Thereafter, the method includes receiving a selection of a route by the user, and monitoring the selection of routes over a predetermined time period. Based on the monitoring of the selection of the routes by the user, the method includes modifying the recommendations of the one or more routes for a next set of trips of the user. The modified recommendation includes recommendation to change a travel pattern of the user, which is further based on travel patterns of one or more other users.
Visually guiding a vehicle
Embodiments of the present invention describe identifying details of the area around a first vehicle and identifying a potential confusion point in a navigation route of the first vehicle. Additionally, embodiments of the present invention determining based on a threshold, whether to provide a driver of the first vehicle with a visual clue to assist with navigating through the identified potential confusion point, responsive to determining to provide a visual clue, identifying one or more visual clues from an area surrounding the first vehicle; and outputting the identified one or more visual clues to the driver.
Proactive re-routing of vehicles using passive monitoring of occupant frustration level
Aspects of the present disclosure include a navigation system and computer-implemented methods for proactively re-routing vehicles based on an analysis of input component data obtained from the navigation-enabled devices. The navigation system scores the input component data to obtain a measure of frustration (e.g., a feeling of being upset or annoyed) of the user of the navigation-enabled device. The navigation system may provide a detour suggestion for display on the navigation-enabled device to persuade the user of the device to direct their vehicle to depart from its current location or route in an effort to remove the vehicle from traffic, and thereby reduce the frustration level of the user. The detour suggestion may include an alternative route to the original destination, or an alternative destination.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR UTILIZING AN UNMANNED AIR VEHICLE TO DEFINE OR PROVIDE GUIDANCE ALONG A ROUTE
An apparatus, method and system utilize an unmanned air vehicle (UAV) in order to support the definition and use of routes by bicyclists, pedestrians or scooters. With respect to defining a bicycle route a map database is accessed that represents roads segments in a geographic area. The map database contains map data that indicates attributes of the road segments. The bicycle route is then defined from an origin to a destination based upon the map data indicative of attributes of the road segments. In this regard, the bicycle route is defined to include one or more road segments that allow bicycle traffic unaccompanied by a UAV and one or more road segments for which bicycle traffic is unauthorized unless accompanied by a UAV. The bicycle route is subsequently caused to be provided to the bicyclist or a device accessible to the bicyclist.
GUIDE TEXT GENERATION APPARATUS, GUIDE SYSTEM, GUIDE TEXT GENERATION METHOD AND PROGRAM
A guidance text generation device that generates a guidance text for a user includes a route generation unit that generates a route including nodes from a point of departure to a destination, the nodes being represented by the point of departure, corners or/and ends at which a traveling direction changes and the destination and geographical information including types for classifying things located on a route connecting nodes, the types being classified into at least one of global brands, universal signs/facilities, objects peculiar to Japan, shops/facilities with alphanumeric notation, and shops, facilities and objects that do not fall under any of such categories and a guidance text generation unit that generates a guidance text for the generated route based on the generated route, the geographical information on the generated route, presentation priority of the geographical information associated with the type of the geographical information.
INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND SYSTEM
A controller comprising at least one processor in an information processing device obtains a travel route to a destination of a user and identifies a plurality of digital signs that exist on the travel route and guide the user to the destination. In addition, the controller in the information processing device transmits first information to a first sign included in the plurality of digital signs, the first information being information for guiding the user to a second sign, the second sign being a digital sign guiding the user to the destination subsequently to the first sign on the travel route.
Displaying Personalized Landmarks in a Mapping Application
To provide personalized data for display on a map, a server device obtains location data for a user and identifies locations that are familiar to the user based on the frequency and recency in which the user visits the locations. The server device then provides the familiar locations in search results/suggestions and annotates the familiar locations with a description of a relationship between the familiar location and the user. The server device also includes the familiar locations as landmarks for performing maneuvers in a set of navigation instructions. Furthermore, the server device provides a familiar location as a frame of reference on a map display when a user selects another location nearby the familiar location. Moreover, the server device includes a familiar location as an intermediate destination when the user request navigation directions to a final destination.
Presenting non-recommended routes
In some implementations, a computing device can proactively determine a destination and request traffic information for routes from a starting location to the destination. In some implementations, a computing device can identify some routes between a starting location and a destination as non-recommended routes and recommend other routes. In some implementations, a computing device can rank routes between a starting location and a destination based on automatically-determined user interest. In some implementations, a computing device can determine a user is familiar with a route and adjust the information presented to the user about the route accordingly.
