An augmented reality (AR) navigation system: includes an AR display device configured to provide a near-eye display function; and a mobile terminal communicatively connected with the AR display device, where the mobile terminal is configured to send a control instruction to the AR display device, so that the AR display device displays AR content corresponding to the control instruction. Through one or more embodiments disclosed in the present invention, display content of the AR display device may be controlled by the mobile terminal, so that there is no need to identify a target through a complex algorithm such as CV. The technical implementation cost is low and the user experience is high, which can meet the requirements of some specific navigation scenes.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ROUTE NAVIGATION, ELECTRONIC DEVICE, COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM
20220236069 · 2022-07-28 ·

The present disclosure provides a method and apparatus for a route navigation, which relate to the technical fields of computer vision, image processing, augmented reality and the like. An implementation solution is: performing an augmented reality navigation on a current route based on real-time acquired GPS information of a terminal; acquiring SLAM (simultaneous localization and mapping) coordinates of the terminal; converting, in response to determining that the GPS information meets a preset positioning difference condition, the SLAM coordinates into calculated geographic coordinates; and performing an augmented reality navigation on the current route based on the calculated geographic coordinates.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MINIMIZING COGNITIVE DECLINE USING AUGMENTED REALITY

An exemplary device, according to the present disclosure, provides a housing, an AR lens, a projector, a memory, and a control system. The control system and memory determine when the user is confused. The control system then provides for projecting a reorientation graphic via the projector directed at the AR lens. In some implementations, the reorientation graphic provides real time information and reminders to a user as they proceed through life. The exemplary device enables a user to maintain greater independence and a more normal lifestyle with the assistance of the reorientation graphic.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLING HEAD UP DISPLAY
20220228881 · 2022-07-21 ·

A method of controlling a head-up display includes sensing occurrence of an event related to a vehicle; updating event information related to the event, to a specific map, in response to the event occurrence; outputting the event information to a preset position in front of the vehicle, by using a head-up display; maintaining the output of the event information at the preset position, even if a relative distance between the vehicle and the preset position is changed based on the driving of the vehicle; and terminating the output of the event information when the vehicle passes through the preset position.

Vehicular display device

A vehicular display device configured to display a guide route to a destination of a host vehicle includes a navigation device configured to calculate the guide route, a display controller configured to draw an arrow having a shaft with an arrowhead at one end of the shaft, as a guide figure for guidance along the guide route calculated by the navigation device, such that the arrow is shaped as a three-dimensional object in which one surface of the arrow is a continuous flat surface from the shaft to the arrowhead and the other surface of the arrow includes a first portion with a first width having a first height, and a second portion with a second width smaller than the first width and having a second height smaller than the first height, and a display configured to display an image drawn by the display controller in a display area.

PEDESTRIAN DEAD RECKONING USING MAP CONSTRAINING FEATURES

A computer device is provided that a processor configured to determine a plurality of candidate heading and velocity values from an initial position based on at least on measurements from an inertial measurement unit and a compass device. The processor is further configured to determine a probability for each of the plurality of candidate heading and velocity values using a probabilistic framework that assigns a lower probability to candidate heading and velocity values that conflict with travel constraining map features. The processor is further configured to rank the plurality of candidate heading and velocity values and track a position for the computer device based on a highest ranked candidate heading and velocity value.

Guided Navigation for Personal Transport Devices
20210396538 · 2021-12-23 · ·

A method for providing guided navigation for personal transport devices is described. In one embodiment, the method includes providing a list of predetermined destinations associated with a geographic area, projecting directions to one or more of the destinations on a ground surface located in front of a personal transport device, and providing an option to a user of the personal transport device to select between at least two different destinations. A direction associated with each destination of the at least two destinations may be projected on the ground surface located in front of the personal transport device.
