USER CONTROLLED DIRECTIONAL INTERFACE PROCESSING
A system and method for processing directional feedback. A free form path is received at a server from a first directional interface utilized by a user. The free form path is converted to directional feedback. The free form path is aligned to available paths communicated by the first directional interface utilizing mapping information to generate the directional feedback. The directional feedback is sent from the server to one or more directional interfaces utilized by one or more users associated with the first directional interface.
Method and apparatus for providing tactile sensations
The present disclosure concerns a method and apparatus for the creation of an acoustic field for providing tactile sensations. More particularly, but not exclusively, this disclosure concerns a method and apparatus for the creation of an acoustic field providing tactile sensations for use with an interactive device. The disclosure provides a method of generating a tactile sensation. The method comprises the steps of providing a plurality of acoustic transducers arranged to generate a predetermined distribution of pressure patterns, wherein the pressure patterns comprise a first region providing a first tactile sensation and a second region providing a second, different, tactile sensation.
Center of gravity shifting force device
A system for exerting forces on a user. The system includes a user-mounted device including one or more masses, one or more sensors configured to acquire sensor data, and a processor coupled to the one or more sensors. The processor is configured to determine at least one of an orientation and a position associated with the user-mounted device based on the sensor data. The processor is further configured to compute a force to be exerted on the user via the one or more masses based on a force direction associated with a force event and at least one of the orientation and the position. The processor is further configured to generate, based on the force, a control signal to change a position of the one or more masses relative to the user-mounted device.
System and method for railway en-route prediction
A railway prediction system may include a memory configured to maintain at least one driver profile having driver specific factors, a controller coupled to the memory and programmed to receive route factors indicative of a route and a railway crossing along the route, and instruct an alert in response to the presence of the railway crossing, a threshold according to the driver-specific factors, and an indication of a lack of deceleration of the vehicle.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING LOCALIZATION AND NAVIGATION SERVICES
A system may be configured to indicate a path for a user in a closed environment. Some embodiments may: determine a location of a user by walking down an error surface, until reaching a minimum, the error surface having a length represented by a brightness of a rendering; and indicate a path for the user to a nearest point of interest (POI) based on the determined location.

Navigation assistance for the visually impaired
Eyewear having a light array and vibration sensors for indicating to a user when to turn left and right, such as when the eyewear is operating a navigation map application, that improves the user experience of eyewear devices for user's having partial blindness or complete blindness. To compensate for partial blindness, the front portion of the eyewear frame, such as the bridge, may include the light array, where the left portion of the light array is illuminated to indicate to the user to turn left. The right portion of the light array is illuminated to indicate to the user to turn right. To compensate for complete user's having complete blindness, the eyewear has a vibration device on each side of the eyewear, such as in the temples, which selectively vibrate to indicate when the user should turn left and right.
System and methods for modifying route navigation with waypoints
A computer device for use in modifying route navigation with waypoints is provided. The computer device includes at least one processor in communication with at least one memory device. The computer device is in communication with at least one display screen and at least one touchpad. The computer device is programmed to (a) activate an edit mode from a route overview mode, (b) display a list of a plurality of destinations on a display screen, (c) detect a first touching and a first tapping on a touchpad in an area that corresponds to a destination of the plurality of destinations on the list to select the destination, (d) detect a second touching and a second tapping on the touchpad in an area that corresponds to a position in the list, and (e) move the destination to the position in the list.
System and method for providing navigation service of disabled person based on image analysis
Provided are a system and a method for providing navigation service for disabled people. The present invention crawls information necessary for free movement for a wheelchair on a road or a sidewalk, generates a database in which relevant road information is reflected, and provides navigation service based on the generated database, thereby enabling a disabled person to safely move to a destination.
