Eye-gaze enabled navigation system
A navigation system is configured to generate a sequence of driving instructions for directing a driver of a vehicle from a current location to a final destination. The navigation system is configured to capture sensor data that reflects the field of view of the driver and to identify objects in that field of view. The navigation system then customizes the driving instructions to reference specific objects, thereby generating context-specific driving instructions. The navigation system is also configured to identify particular objects upon which the driver is focused, and to generate context-specific driving instructions relative to such objects of focus. The navigation system may also provide correction information to the driver upon determining that the driver has incorrectly focused on a different object than an object referenced in a context-specific driving instruction.
Modifying map configurations based on established location points
A method of generating map content includes receiving a service request including at least a start location from a computing device of a user, and selecting a service provider to provide the service request. The method further includes transmitting a confirmation to the computing device indicating that the selected service provider is traveling to the start location, and enabling map content to be displayed on a user interface of a service application on the computing device, the map content indicating at least the start location, and a dynamic location of the selected service provider while the selected service provider is traveling to the start location. The method also includes enabling dynamic zooming of the map content on the user interface based on the dynamic location of the selected service provider and at least one of the start location or a current location of the user.
Intersection guide system, method, and program
Intersection guide systems, methods, and programs acquire information on a path of a vehicle and acquire a travel direction of the vehicle at a guide intersection ahead of the vehicle on the basis of the information on the path. The systems, methods, and programs display a guide image that represents the travel direction superimposed on a portion of a forward scene ahead of the vehicle other than an image of the guide intersection, and a connection line image as superimposed on the forward scene, the connection line image connecting between the image of the guide intersection in the forward scene and the guide image. The connection line image is superimposed on the forward scene such that a length of the connection line image becomes shorter as a degree of approach of the vehicle to the guide intersection becomes larger.
Contact-analogue display, in particular of a lane change
A method is disclosed for the contact-analog display of a navigation instruction for a driving maneuver, particularly a lane change, of a vehicle, wherein the driving maneuver can be carried out at any point of a cohesive driving route of a road. The method includes: contact-analog stationary displaying of the instruction at the beginning of the driving route for a first distance traveled by the vehicle; adapting the contact-analog display of the instruction to the change of position of the vehicle, so that the instruction changes its position corresponding to the change of position of the vehicle, for a second distance traveled by the vehicle; and contact-analog stationary displaying of the instruction at the end of the driving route, for a third distance traveled by the vehicle.
METHOD, APPARATUS, DEVICE FOR PLAYING NAVIGATION AUDIOS
A method, an apparatus, and a device for playing navigation audios are provided. The method includes: determining navigation audios to be broadcast in a navigation route and broadcast locations; and broadcasting a corresponding navigation audio at the broadcast location, and selecting non-navigation audios to be played in unoccupied durations between broadcast locations according to unoccupied durations.
MATCHING SUPPORT SYSTEM AND MATCHING SUPPORT METHOD
A matching support system includes: a support request acceptance unit configured to accept a request for predetermined support from a user; a support provision acceptance unit configured to accept provision of the predetermined support by a supporter; a routine travel route recognition unit configured to recognize a routine travel route of the supporter; a supporter candidate extraction unit configured to extract, as a supporter candidate, the supporter having a distance from the routine travel route to a desired implementation location for the predetermined support equal to or less than a predetermined distance; and a matching proposal unit configured to transmit matching proposal information for proposing provision of the predetermined support for the user, to a supporter candidate terminal that is a supporter terminal used by the supporter candidate.
Mobile terminal and method of controlling the same
Disclosed are a mobile terminal capable of allowing a driver to drive a vehicle safely, by providing notification information related to the vehicle, and notification information received from the mobile terminal according to priorities, and a method of controlling the same. The mobile terminal includes: a communication unit; an output unit configured to output road guidance information; and a controller configured to detect first notification information related to a vehicle, to receive second notification information from a mobile terminal through the communication unit, to set priorities of the first and second notification information, and to output the first and second notification information to the output unit according to the set priorities.
Method and apparatus for upcoming turn identification and assistance
A system includes a processor configured to determine a navigation instruction execution location within a predefined distance from a vehicle location. The processor is also configured to communicate with a wireless transceiver to receive information identifying an intervening turn-option location, between the execution location and vehicle location. The processor is further configured to determine a distance between the vehicle location and turn-option location and display the determined distance on a navigation display, until the vehicle passes the turn-option location.
In-vehicle navigation apparatus
An in-vehicle navigation apparatus that provides guidance to a lane on which a user's vehicle should travel, among driving lanes on a route, includes a landmark information acquiring unit and a lane guide unit. The landmark information acquiring unit acquires landmark information representing an object which serves as a landmark existing along the route within a landmark acquisition range that is set between a certain point on a near side of a specific point and the specific point. The lane on which the user's vehicle should travel on the route is restricted at the specific point. The lane guide unit provides guidance to the lane on which the user's vehicle should travel in association with the object represented by the landmark information acquired by the landmark information acquiring unit.
Systems and methods for providing uninterrupted media content during vehicle navigation
Systems and methods are disclosed herein for providing uninterrupted media content during vehicle navigation. The disclosed techniques herein discuss determining directions from route data and navigation announcements for each of the directions. For each navigation announcement, a determination is made whether current playback of a media asset in a playlist ends within a predefined time threshold before the navigation announcement. In a positive determination, the playback of the playlist is paused until the navigation announcement has elapsed.
