Sensing unit

A sensing unit including first sensing electrodes arranged in a sensing area, second sensing electrodes electrically isolated from the first sensing electrodes, first identification patterns adjacent to the first sensing electrodes, and second identification patterns adjacent to the second sensing electrodes, in which a number of the first identification patterns is different from a number of the second identification patterns.

Rotary sensor module with resynchronization feature

Drug delivery device comprising expelling means allowing a user to set a dose corresponding to a number of increments from an initial state, an indication member adapted to rotate in a first direction corresponding to the set dose, and rotate in an opposed second direction corresponding to an expelled dose, the indication member having an initial rotational position corresponding to both the initial state and the fully expelled dose state. Sensor means having an incremental counter synchronized with the rotational position of the indication member and having a reference point corresponding to the initial rotational position of the indication member. After detecting an error state the sensor means is adapted to re-synchronize by detecting the number of rotational increments for a set dose and for a subsequent expelled dose. If the numbers are identical the reference point is reset corresponding to the current rotational position of the indication member.

RESISTIVE DIFFERENTIAL ALIGNMENT MONITOR

A microelectronic device includes a resistive differential alignment monitor (RDAM), including a first variable-width resistor and a second variable-width resistor, which are members of a conductor level. Each of the resistors include a wide portion and a narrow portion. The RDAM further includes a vertical connector to each of the wide portion and the narrow portion of the first variable-width resistor, and to the wide portion and the narrow portion of the second variable-width resistor. The vertical connectors are members of a vertical connector level. Test terminals are coupled to the vertical connectors. The vertical connectors to the first variable-width resistor and the vertical connectors to the second variable-width resistor are separated by equal distances and are oriented anti-parallel to each other. The RDAM may be used to estimate a misalignment distance between the members of the vertical connector level and the members of the conductor level.

A rotary position sensor for measuring the position of a rotating shaft comprises an upper housing and a lower housing arranged to be attached to the upper housing. A barrel is rotationally mounted to the attached upper and lower housings and coupled to the shaft is arranged to be positionable within the attached upper and lower housings by the shaft. A potentiometer component is mounted to the barrel and to an electrical sub-assembly that measures the position of the barrel and in response generates a position signal.
