An apparatus comprises a housing, a testing member rotatably mounted in the housing, a lancet protruding from an edge of the testing member and having a piercing end, and a cover configured to cover at least the piercing end of the lancet and to be displaced from the piercing end of the lancet during actuation of the testing member.
Test Sensor Cartridges And Sensor-Dispensing Instruments
The cartridge comprises a housing, a plurality of test sensors, a mechanical mechanism, and a pusher assembly. The housing forms at least one opening therethrough. The plurality of test sensors is stacked in the housing. The plurality of test sensors is adapted to assist in testing at least one analyte. The mechanical mechanism is adapted to urge the plurality of test sensors in a first direction. One of the plurality of test sensors is positioned for extraction from the cartridge. The pusher assembly is adapted to push one of the plurality of test sensors from the cartridge. The pusher assembly includes a ferromagnetic material or a magnet.
REPLACEABLE MULTISTRIP CARTRIDGE AND BIOSENSER METER
A blood glucose monitor includes a can, a replaceable sensor cartridge that includes a frame, an upper spring disposed between the frame and the can, a case for housing the can and sealing the frame, a lower spring disposed between the can and the case, and a meter housing for sealing an upper portion of the frame. The can is capable of accepting the replaceable sensor cartridge. The frame of the removable cartridge has at least at least two walls defining a chamber for accepting a plurality of biosensors, and a bottom portion defining an opening and at least one sealing flange. The frame can further include a desiccant material capable of reducing humidity within the frame. The frame may be dimensioned such that an interference fit constrains the plurality of biosensors prior to inserting the frame within a blood glucose monitor.

Test-strip storage vial
The present invention relates to a test-strip storage vial, comprising a vial body, a storing chamber for storing test strips, a push button, and a top-lifted unit; wherein the push button is located at one end of the storing chamber; wherein a top-lifted unit is located at another end of the storing chamber; wherein the push button slides horizontal to remove test strips the storing chamber; wherein the top-lifted unit supports the test strips and lifts the test strips in a vertical direction; wherein the vial body further comprising an upper cover and lower vial body, wherein the lower vial body is detachably connected to the upper cover; wherein the push button is glidingly connected with the upper cover, wherein the top-lifted unit is located in the lower vial body; wherein a push button spring provides horizontal tensile force is disposed between the upper cover and the push button.
Transducer sensor housing
A sensor housing container comprises a container having an opening, a lid that covers the opening, and a sensor housing body that can be pulled out of the opening of the container. The sensor housing body includes a sensor case, a plurality of sensors, and a spring that biases these sensors. The sensor case is provided with a sensor discharge port at the portion where the sensors are biased by the spring. Also, this sensor discharge port is provided with a guide protrusion for aligning the sensor discharge port with a sensor insertion port of a measurement device. Furthermore, the inner face of the container is provided with a push-out protrusion that contacts with the end of the sensors on the opposite side from electrodes, at the portion corresponding to the end of the sensors on the opposite side from the electrodes inside the sensor case.
Integrated blood glucose measuring device
An integrated blood glucose measuring device is described that has blood glucose metering device, a glucose metering test strip storage mechanism attachable to the metering device, a test strip feeding mechanism for feeding a single test strip from the storage mechanism for blood intake. The metering device, the test strip storage mechanism and the test strip feeding mechanism are integrated into a single device for blood glucose measurement. In another embodiment, a lancet mechanism is attachable to a side of the metering device and thus the metering device, the storage mechanism, the test strip feeding mechanism, and the lancet mechanism are integrated into a single device for blood glucose measurement.
