At least two of the assay modules or at least two of the assay devices have different identifiers that identify the assays. The system also includes an apparatus having a portable frame configured to interchangeably receive the plurality of assay modules in a same port; a means for decoding the different identifiers when received by the frame; and a means for reading assay results.
TESTING IMPLEMENT AND MEASURING DEVICE
A biosensor 2 includes a component measurement region disposed on a substrate formed from a conductive material, for measuring the measurement target component, a conductive region formed of a conductive material and disposed on the substrate, and at which a voltage application point to which a predetermined voltage is applied, an earth connection point connected to ground potential, and at least one measurement point for measuring an electrical measurement value, are established, and a resistance prescription region that prescribes a ratio, within the conductive region, between a first resistance value at the conductive region between the voltage application point and the earth connection point, and a second resistance value at the conductive region between the voltage application point or the earth connection point, and the measurement point.
Analyte detection meter and associated method of use
A method for obtaining information encoded on an electrochemical test strip is provided. The test strip has two electrodes disposed within a sample space and the information is encoded on the test strip prior to introduction of liquid sample. The method includes the step of introducing sample to the sample space so that the sample is in contact with the two electrodes within the sample space. In another step a value is determined that is representative of the double layer capacitance of the test strip and/or the equivalent capacitance of the test strip. The determined value is then translated into information reflecting a characteristic of the test strip prior to introduction of sample.
Real-time tracing of cytokine storm in blood serum of COVID-19 patients
A system for diagnosing COVID-19 infection. The system includes a biosensor, an electrochemical stimulator-analyzer, and a processing unit. The biosensor is configured to be put in contact with a blood serum sample of a person suspected to be infected of COVID-19 virus. The processing unit is configured to apply an AC potential amplitude to the biosensor while sweeping a frequency range utilizing the electrochemical stimulator-analyzer, recording an electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) associated with the blood serum sample utilizing the electrochemical stimulator-analyzer, calculating a charge transfer resistance (R.sub.CT) of the recorded EIS, and detecting a COVID-19 infection of the person based on the calculated R.sub.CT if the calculated R.sub.CT is equal to or more than a threshold value.
System and method for correlating retail testing product to medical diagnostic code
A method for correlating a retail testing product to medical codes is provided. The method comprises receiving a diagnostic test identifier at a server disposed on a network, retrieving a first medical code from a database, wherein the first medical code is associated with the diagnostic test identifier and the retail testing product, processing an image of the retail testing product to determine results of the test, retrieving a second medical code from the database, wherein the second medical code is associated with the test results, determining a recommended pharmaceutical product useful in treatment of at least one medical condition associated with the retail testing product, retrieving a third medical code from the database, where the third medical code is associated with the recommended pharmaceutical product, and transmitting the first medical code, the second medical code, and the third medical code to a healthcare entity.
Blood and biological sample collection device and method
Specially designed collection strips and their processing. By using specially designed collection strips, having a backer and one or more absorbent pads, in conjunction with a unique processing method, the processes of analyzing biological samples such as blood, or the like, may be done efficiency with the elimination of cross contamination risk. Identification of the sample stays with the sample throughout the process as it resides on the collection strip. The strip absorbs a known volume. The sample with identification is placed directly in an elution solution, without mechanically separating the sample from its identification information. Elimination of the need for mechanical separation tends to reduce cross contamination, as well as reducing sample processing time.
Modular hand-held point of care testing system
A modular hand-held point of care testing system, which includes a plurality of different assay adapters configured to receive a plurality of different assay devices that perform assays on one or more samples; a shared door that that interchangeably receives the plurality of different assay adapters; wherein at least two of the plurality of assay adapters or at least two of the assay devices comprise different identifiers that distinguish the assays from each other; an apparatus comprising a portable frame configured to interchangeably receive the shared door and a means for decoding the different identifiers when received by the frame; and a means for reading assay results.
