BIOMARKERS FOR EARLY EMBRYONIC VIABILITY AND METHODS THEREOF
A method for determining early embryonic mortality (EM) in a female bovine includes determining an extracellular vesicle derived micro-ribonucleic acid expression profile of a serum (serum EV miRNA) obtained at from about 15 to about 30 days of gestation. The serum EV miRNA expression profile is compared to at least one reference serum EV miRNA expression profile to determine a serum EV miRNA expression profile indicative of early EM (EM EV miRNA expression profile). The EM EV miRNA expression profile may consist of an increased amount of at least one of miR-25, miR-16a/b, or miR-3596 compared to the at least one reference serum EV miRNA expression profile. Representative EM EV miRNA expression profiles and kits for determining EM EV miRNA expression profiles are provided.
Use of Apoptotic Compensatory Proliferation Signaling Vesicles in Tissue Repair and Wound Healing
Methods of administering apoptotic compensatory proliferation signaling vesicles (AC PS Vs), and pharmaceutical formulations thereof, are described herein. AC PS Vs can be used to promote proliferation of cells in injured or diseased tissues, for example by adding a therapeutically effective amount of APCSVs to the injured or diseased tissue.
MEASUREMENT METHOD
The present invention provides a method for measuring the propagation of electric activity in neural network and/or axon by using a nerve cell device produced by seeding nerve cells on an oriented fiber sheet. According to the present invention, synapse function can be assessed by using propagation speed of neural network as an index.
Methods for the Analysis of Circulating Microparticles
Reagents and methods for the analysis of cell free biomolecules (e.g. cell free nucleic acid molecules and cell free polypeptides) of circulating microparticles (i.e. microparticles originating from blood) are provided. The methods comprise analysing a sample that comprises a circulating microparticle or a sample derived from a circulating microparticle. The methods include methods of measuring at least two linked signals, each signal corresponding to the presence, absence and/or level of a biomolecule of a circulating microparticle. The methods also include methods of determining the presence, absence and/or level of a biomolecule of a circulating microparticle using a barcoded affinity probe. In certain methods both nucleic acid biomolecules and non-nucleic acid biomolecules of a circulating microparticle are analysed together. Reagents for use in the methods are also provided.
Mitochondrial Conductance Inhibitors and Methods of Use Thereof
Disclosed herein is a newly discovered mitochondrial inner membrane nonspecific monovalent cation conductance. Methods of measuring the conductance are provided, including by patch clamp electrophysiology techniques, as well as methods of identifying inhibitors of the conductance. Inhibitors of the conductance are provided, as well as methods of using such inhibitors in the treatment of disease.
COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR STUDYING DRUG METABOLISM
The present invention relates to microsomes bound to magnetizable beads and their use in studying or determining drug metabolism. Compositions, methods, kits and systems involving the magnetizable bead-bound microsomes are described herein.
Method for improving quality of therapeutic cell through real-time glutathione measurement
The present invention relates to a method of improving the quality of therapeutic cells by real-time glutathione monitoring.
EVALUATOR AND EVALUATION METHOD FOR EVALUATING DIFFERENTIATION LEVEL OF CULTURED CELLS, AND AUTOMATIC CELL CULTURE SYSTEM
Provided are an evaluator including an analysis unit that evaluates a differentiation level of a cultured cell on the basis of a content of a component in a culture supernatant of the cultured cell, and an automatic cell culture system including the evaluator and an automatic culture device.
METHODS FOR DETECTION OF CIRCULATING TUMOR CELLS AND METHODS OF DIAGNOSIS OF CANCER IN A MAMMALIAN SUBJECT
Methods are provided for detecting circulating tumor cells in a mammalian subject. Methods of diagnosing cancer in a mammalian subject are provided. The methods of detection or diagnosis indicate the presence of metastatic cancer or early stage cancer.
TANDEM-PAIRED COLUMN CHEMISTRY FOR HIGH-THROUGHPUT PROTEOMIC EXOSOME ANALYSIS
Compositions and methods for sample preparation and mass spectrometric analysis of peptide samples obtained from biological samples are provided. The compositions and methods include a tandem column system in which a trap column is in fluid contact with an analytical column such as, for example, a HPLC column. As analytes are eluted from the analytical column, they can be passed to a detector (e.g., a mass spectrometer) for peptide analysis.
