Droplet libraries
The present invention generally relates to droplet libraries and to systems and methods for the formation of libraries of droplets. The present invention also relates to methods utilizing these droplet libraries in various biological, chemical, or diagnostic assays.
Cartridges for immunoassay tests and methods of using the same
This invention relates to an apparatus for conducting immunoassay test. The apparatus includes a groove unit having a groove along a vertical direction configured to hold a rod-shaped portion of a probe along the vertical direction, and a push pin configured to move along a horizontal direction, the push pin being capable of residing at a first position and a second position. A tip of the push pin is capable of pressing the rod-shaped portion of the probe against the groove when the push pin resides at the first position. The distance between the tip of the push pin and the groove is larger than a diameter of the rod-shaped portion of the probe when the push pin resides at the second position.

The present disclosure relates to protein-polymer conjugates comprising an engineered binding oligomer protein and a polymer for detection of a ligand of interest, methods, compositions and kits thereof.
Immuno-optomagnetic point-of-care assay and method for detection of analyte using multifunctional optomagnetic quantum dot nanqcrystals (MQDs)
Provided are a novel immuno-optomagnetic point-of-care (PoC) assay and in particular, a method for detecting an analyte using magnetic nanoparticles and quantum dots (QD) having antibodies which are interfaced with the fabricated PoC biochip platform for quantitative analysis, and an immuno-optomagnetic detection method. The method also relates to methods of making such a plurality of conjugated magnetic quantum dot nanoparticles, methods of detecting analytes using such a plurality of conjugated quantum dot nanoparticles.
MASKED FLUOROGENIC COMPOUNDS AND METHODS OF USING THE SAME
In one aspect, the present disclosure relates to a masked fluorogenic compound comprising a small molecule protecting group that can be cleaved following a reaction with a biomarker. In some embodiments, cleavage of the small molecule protecting group provides a fluorogenic ligand that binds to an aptamer, leading to fluorescence emission. In another aspect, the present disclosure relates to a method of detecting a disease or a disorder in a subject and/or in a biological sample from the subject.
Magnetic removal or identification of damaged or compromised cells or cellular structures
A method for magnetic cellular manipulation may include contacting a composition with a biological sample to form a mixture. The composition may include a plurality of particles. Each particle in the plurality of particles may include a magnetic substrate. The magnetic substrate may be characterized by a magnetic susceptibility greater than zero. The composition may also include a chargeable silicon-containing compound. The chargeable silicon-containing compound may coat at least a portion of the magnetic substrate. The biological sample may include cells and/or cellular structures. The method may also include applying a magnetic field to the mixture to manipulate the composition.
METHOD OF PRODUCING A BIOACTIVE SURFACE
The present invention is directed to nanofilaments for polymer brushes, to polymer brushes comprising the nanofilaments and methods of making the same. In particular, the invention provides water soluble nanofilaments which may be grafted to a surface and which may be functionalised with (bio)molecules.
Multivalent glycan microarray platform
The present invention includes a multivalent glycan microarray for detection of glycan-binding proteins. The multivalent glycan microarray allows a multivalent presentation of glycan on a microarray substrate, which can enhance binding of the glycan binding protein to the glycan microarray. The multivalent microarray includes a solid substrate having one or more branched polymers bonded to it via one or more silane-based linker reagents. The branched polymer in turn is bonded to a glycan, via one or more bifunctional linkers to form the multivalent glycan microarray. Nonspecific binding of glycan binding proteins to the multivalent glycan microarray can be reduced by using a blocking reagent coated on to the microarray substrate, which includes a polyethylene glycol surfactant attached to the solid substrate via a self-crosslinking azido-functionalized silane. Methods for making multivalent glycan microarrays and methods for using same to detect glycan-binding proteins are also disclosed.
