EPIDERMAL MICROFLUIDIC SENSOR FOR SWEAT COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS FROM AQUATIC ATHLETES
20210181208 · 2021-06-17 ·

Provided herein are epidermal microfluidic systems and methods that allow for the collection of biofluids in a wet or aquatic environment, for example, from the surface of the skin. The described systems allow for the efficient collection of biofluids, without loss of the biofluid to the surrounding environment or introduction of extraneous liquids from the environment. The described microfluidic systems are versatile and can provide information regarding a number of biofluid properties both electronically and colorimetrically/visually.

PROBE FOR DUAL-MODE BIO-IMAGING

The present subject matter relates to compounds that have aggregation-induced emission (AIE) characteristics and are capable of generating Raman signals in the Raman cell-silent region (1800 cm.sup.−1-2800 cm.sup.−1). The compounds can be used in dual-mode cell imaging by fluorescence and Raman microscopes

Measurement method, measurement apparatus, and measurement system

A specimen containing a substance to be measured is introduced into a flow path of a measurement chip including a flow path which is a cavity for accommodating liquid and a reflecting unit which specularly reflects light which passes through the flow path so as to pass through the flow path again and a measurement value indicating an amount of the substance to be measured in the specimen is acquired. Then, second light acquired when first light including light of a wavelength absorbed by a red blood cell passes through the specimen in the flow path, is reflected by the reflecting unit, and passes through the specimen in the flow path again is detected in a state in which the specimen is present in the flow path. Next, a hematocrit value of the specimen is determined on the basis of a detection result of the second light. Next, a measurement value is corrected on the basis of the hematocrit value.

In one aspect, a sensing device includes: a housing; and one or more sensors contained within the housing, wherein the housing hermetically seals the sensors such that the sensing device is fully submersible in a liquid analyte. A method and system for analysis of a liquid sample using the present sensing device are also provided.

Modular parallel/serial dual microfluidic chip

A system for testing a treatment agent for a biologic material includes an input for receiving a biologic sample. A plurality of micro-pumps pump a portion of the biologic sample from the first reservoir into a connected module. A first module includes a first plurality of testing pathways for testing a first portion of the biologic sample. A first module connector removeably connects the first module to the distributor module. A second module includes a second plurality of testing pathways for testing a second portion of the biologic sample. The selected pathway applies at least one dosage level of a treatment agent to the second portion of the biologic sample. A second module connector removeably connects the second module to the distributor module, wherein treatment agent and the plurality of dosage levels tested by the system may be selected by selecting the second module associated with the second module connector.
