Methods for achieving complete sequence coverage of monoclonal antibodies by trypsin digestion and dual-column LC-MS system are provided. The disclosed method improves upon current techniques for standard peptide mapping.

Nano-neurotoxicity bio-marker composition based on intracellular aggregates which are biomarkers of degenerative brain diseases

A method of assessing neurotoxicity of nanoparticles, includes: preparing a tissue or cell sample of mammal exposed to the nanoparticles; analyzing at least one polyamine metabolite selected from the group consisting of putrescine, N1-acetylspermidine, N8-acetylspermidine, N1-acetylspermine and spermine in the sample; and comparing expression degree of the polyamine metabolite with that of a control.

METHODS FOR USING PROTEIN BIOMARKERS IN IDIOPATHIC PULMONARY FIBROSIS

The present disclosure includes exosomal protein biomarkers for differential diagnosis of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis including a five-protein signature determined using mass spectrometry-based proteiomic analysis of plasma extracellular vesicles (EVs) for differential diagnosis of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.

METHODS FOR CHARACTERIZING HOST-CELL PROTEINS

Methods for characterizing host-cell proteins in a sample matrix are provided.

Rapid evaporative ionisation mass spectrometry (“REIMS”) and desorption electrospray ionisation mass spectrometry (“DESI-MS”) analysis of swabs and biopsy samples

A method is disclosed comprising providing a biological sample on a swab, directing a spray of charged droplets onto a surface of the swab in order to generate a plurality of analyte ions, and analysing the analyte ions.

High resolution imaging apparatus and method
11264221 · 2022-03-01 · ·

The present invention relates to the high resolution imaging of samples using imaging mass spectrometry (IMS) and to the imaging of biological samples by imaging mass cytometry (IMCTM) in which labelling atoms are detected by IMS. LA-ICP-MS (a form of IMS in which the sample is ablated by a laser, the ablated material is then ionised in an inductively coupled plasma before the ions are detected by mass spectrometry) has been used for analysis of various substances, such as mineral analysis of geological samples, analysis of archaeological samples, and imaging of biological substances. However, traditional LA-ICP-MS systems and methods may not provide high resolution. Described herein are methods and systems for high resolution IMS and IMC.

A method for rapid, high throughput screening of the activities of enzymes, especially ligninases and its enzyme cocktails, using nanostructure initiator mass spectrometry (NIMS) surfaces, substrates and methodology.

METHOD AND PRODUCT FOR PREPARING A PROTEIN-CONTAINING SAMPLE FOR ANALYSIS BY MASS SPECTROMETRY

A method for preparing a protein-containing sample for analysis by mass spectrometry includes introducing the sample into a reaction vessel. The reaction vessel contains a reagent mixture including pre-measured quantities of an immobilized proteolytic enzyme, a reducing agent and an alkylating agent. The contents of the reaction vessel are activated by heating or by sonication.
