Eye-related intrabody pressure identification and modification
An apparatus for at least one of diagnosing or treating an eye condition can include a goggle enclosure, sized and shaped to be seated on an eye socket of an eye to provide one or more cavities within the enclosure that extend about an entire exposed anterior portion of the eye, a pump, in fluidic communication with the one or more cavities to apply a fluid pressure to the one or more cavities, the pump configured to adjust a fluid pressure within the one or more cavities of the goggle enclosure, and a control circuit, including a data interface to receive data directly or indirectly indicating at least one of an intraorbital pressure, ICP, IOP, or a relationship between ICP and IOP, and based on processing the received data as a feedback control variable, controlling the pump to adjust the fluid pressure within the one or more cavities, the controlling including using further monitoring of the received data to control the pump.
Therapeutic ultrasound for eye disorders
Methods and devices are described which allow sound waves to be safely be applied to the eyelid of an eye of a patient or through the eyelid to other structures in the eye or to or through structures in the facial region to effect changes to one or more structures in and around the eye or directly through the cornea or sclera to regions of the eye to treat one or more diseases of the eye.
GLAND TREATMENT DEVICES AND METHODS FOR TREATING DRY EYE DISEASE
Systems, devices and methods that facilitate safe heating of eyelids to treat dry eye are disclosed. According to one embodiment, an apparatus for optical heating of an eyelid of a patient includes: a housing configured to be grasped by a human hand; at least one light emitter coupled to the housing and configured to emit beams of infrared light; a waveguide component coupled to the at least one light emitter and configured to direct the beams of light toward the eyelid; and a scleral cover configured to couple to the housing, the scleral cover comprising: a curved protective portion configured to reflect infrared light emanating from the at least one light emitter.
Nasal stimulation devices and methods
Described here are devices, systems, and methods for treating one or more conditions (such as dry eye) or improving ocular health by providing stimulation to nasal or sinus tissue. Generally, the devices may be handheld or implantable. In some variations, the handheld devices may have a stimulator body and a stimulator probe having one or more nasal insertion prongs. When the devices and systems are used to treat dry eye, nasal or sinus tissue may be stimulated to increase tear production, reduce the symptoms of dry eye, and/or improve ocular surface health.
Personal care tool for cooling and treating skin
A handheld massage tool that provides a cooling effect, intended to treat and improve the appearance of the skin, especially of the face.
Virtual reality-based viewing system to prevent myopia with variable focal-length and magnification
According to one embodiment, a computer-implemented method for using a variable perceived distance viewing system includes outputting, by a computer, an image to a display visible via a variable-focus converging lens array. The variable-focus converging lens array sets a focal distance to a first perceived distance whereby the image is perceived as being present at the first perceived distance. Furthermore, the computer-implemented method includes adjusting, by the computer, the variable-focus converging lens array for adjusting a focal distance to a second perceived distance and scaling, by the computer, the image on the display to compensate for the focal distance adjustment. The features in the image at the first perceived distance have substantially the same dimensions as the same features in the image at the second perceived distance.
Eye moisturizer
An eye moisturizer includes: a pair of hot water containers for storing hot water from which water vapor is generated; a connection panel coupled to the hot water containers to allow the hot water containers to be spaced apart from each other; a glabella support disposed between the hot water containers to maintain a height of a user's face; a lower support protruding from the underside of the connection panel to prevent falling; and water vapor discharge portions formed on tops of the hot water containers or the connection panel to discharge the water vapor therefrom, while preventing the hot water containers from coming into contact with the eyes, where the waver vapor is fed to the eyes seeing vertically the hot water containers and to the skin around the eyes.
SCREENING APPARATUS AND METHOD
An apparatus for screening, treatment, monitoring and/or assessment of visual impairments, comprising electronic means for simultaneously applying two separate and unrelated processing methods to images presented to a patient's eyes: a first processing method being applied to an non-amblyopic eye (the eye with the better vision), and a second processing method being applied to an amblyopic eye (the weaker eye, or the impaired eye). A method for screening, treatment, monitoring and/or assessment of visual impairments, comprising: a. defining a starting point, wherein differences between a patient's eyes are completely, or as closely as practically possible, corrected, to enable two identical or similar images to be transferred to the brain from the patient's eyes; b. defining an ending point, wherein there is no correction applied to any of the patient's eyes; c. defining a screening, treatment, monitoring and/or assessment plan, for initially applying correction to images according to the starting point, then gradually reducing the correction, at a controlled and predetermined rate, towards the ending point; and d. applying the plan to images presented to the patient's eyes, while monitoring patient's performance.
Device And Method For Stimulating The Meibomian Glands Of The Eyelid
The invention relates generally to the field of medical devices and, more specifically, to a handheld device that stimulates the meibomian gland of the eyelid mechanically, and specifically stimulates the meibomian glands of the eyelid to treat Meibomian gland dysfunction, also known as Dry eye and chronic marginal eyelid inflammation.
Eye exercise device
An eye exercise device comprising a single open goggle chamber with no binocular or magnified optical lens of any sort having a front portion, protective first plate and second plate, light emitting diodes (LEDs), a control panel and a power supply, is disclosed. The control panel is coupled to the power supply, smart electronic glass and LEDs. The first plate is disposed at the front portion of the single open goggle chamber and the second plate is disposed behind the first plate. The second plate comprises a smart electronic glass and the first plate comprises a polycarbonate protective screen, disposed at a center region across an eye of a user. The smart electronic glass is configured to switch to an opaque state for short-sightedness and switch to a transparent state for farsightedness. The LEDs disposed at the periphery of the second plate is configured to emit light in a predefined sequence, thereby encouraging specific ocular movements.
