Composition for topical use including a gelled phase dispersed in a continuous phase, with: the gelled phase including a diol having 3-8 atoms and represented either by formula (Ia): R.sup.a1-C(R.sup.b1)(OH)—C(OH)(R.sup.c1)(R.sup.d1) (Ia), in which each of the Ra1, Rb1, Rc1 and Rd1 radicals represent, independently of one another, a hydrogen atom or saturated aliphatic radical having 1-5 carbon atoms, or by formula (Ib): R.sup.a1-C(R.sup.b1)(OH)—[C(R.sup.e1)(R.sup.f1)]t-C(OH)(R.sup.c1)(R.sup.d1) (Ib), in which t is equal to one, two or three, each of the R.sup.a1, R.sup.b1, R.sup.c1, R.sup.d1, R.sup.e1 and R.sup.f1 radicals represent, independently of one another, a hydrogen atom or saturated aliphatic radical having 1-5 carbon atoms, it being understood that at least one of the Ra1 or Rb1 radicals and/or at least one of the Rc1 or Rd1 radicals do not represent a hydrogen atom, and —a fatty phase including an oil, an emulsifying surfactant system and an emulsifying surfactant.
WATER-IN-OIL COSMETIC PREPARATION
The present invention provides a water-in-oil cosmetic preparation which contains: (a) from 0.1% by mass to 3% by mass of a substance that is selected from among alkyl-modified/partially crosslinked polyether-modified silicones and alkyl-modified/partially crosslinked polyglycerol-modified silicones; (b) from 0.05% by mass to 0.8% by mass of an uncrosslinked alkyl branched polyether-modified silicone; (c) from 30% by mass to 90% by mass of an aqueous component; and (d) from 5% by mass to 30% by mass of an oil component.
This water-in-oil cosmetic preparation has excellent emulsion stability even in cases where an oil component such as a hydrocarbon oil or an ester oil is contained therein in a large amount, while exhibiting good spreadability since the emulsified state thereof is smoothly broken upon application, and enabling the achievement of water breaking sensation and excellent feeling of use.
WATER-IN-OIL COSMETIC COMPOSITION WITH MAXIMIZED FEELING OF MOISTURE
The present invention relates to a water-in-oil cosmetic composition with maximized feeling of moisture and refreshment and, more particularly, to a water-in-oil cosmetic composition which includes organically modified clay minerals and polar oils containing at least one ester group having a specific content, so that the stability of emulsified particles is maintained without a separate emulsifier, thus reducing skin irritation during application and forming water drops to enhance visual aesthetics and maximize feeling of moisture and refreshment.
Foam Formulations Containing at Least One Triterpenoid
The invention relates to a foam formulation comprising an emulsion, comprising an oil phase and an aqueous phase, wherein the emulsion comprises at least one triterpenoid. Further the invention relates to an emulsion comprising an oil phase and an aqueous phase, wherein the emulsion comprises at least one triterpenoid selected from the group consisting of betulin, betulinic acid, lupeol, erythrodiol, oleanolic acid, (C.sub.1-C.sub.6) alkyl esters of the aforementioned acids, or mixtures thereof, and wherein the oil phase comprises at least one membrane-forming substance forming a lamellar arranged membrane in the emulsion.

COSMETIC COMPOSITION COMPRISING VITAMIN C
A cosmetic composition including (a) from about 2 to about 20 wt. % of ascorbic acid; (b) di-t-butyl pentaerythrityl tetrahydroxycinnamate; (c) hydroxyacetophenone; and (d) a chelating agent; and wherein the cosmetic composition is an oil-in-water emulsion, and all weight percentages are based on the total weight of the cosmetic composition. Methods for treating damaged skin with cosmetic compositions are also disclosed herein.
Oil-in-water emulsion and cosmetic use thereof
The invention relates to a composition of oil-in-water emulsion type comprising: —at least one polyol in a content ranging from 7% to 25% by weight relative to the total weight of the composition; —water in a content ranging from 60% to 90% by weight relative to the total weight of the composition; —at least two nonionic surfactants that are different from each other, chosen from a nonionic surfactant of ester type comprising a mixture of at least one unsaturated ester and of at least one diester of polyglycerol and a nonionic surfactant which is a fatty alcohol with a saturated, linear carbon-based chain containing from 14 to 26 carbon atoms; —at least one wax; —and the mass ratio [total amount of said nonionic surfactant(s) of ester type]/[total amount of said wax] ranges from 0.8 to 2, preferably from 1 to 1.5.
Water-in-oil emulsion cosmetics
A water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic free of stickiness and oiliness, having semi-transparent or transparent appearance to effect feel of freshness, and able to provide moisturized feel is provided.
