COSMETIC AGENT FOR TEMPORARILY RESHAPING KERATINOUS FIBRES WITH FILM FORMER OF NATURAL ORIGIN
A cosmetic agent for temporarily reshaping keratinous fibers, for example human hair, including a film former and a cosmetic carrier, wherein the film former comprises at least one natural wax with a melting point of at least about 32 C. and at least one non-ionic propylene oxide-modified starch.
Preparation of microbial oil
The present invention provides a process for the production of a microbial oil comprising culturing a micro-organism in a two stage fermentation process where, in a last stage that precedes the end of fermentation, the carbon source is: consumed by the micro-organisms at a rate greater than it is added to the medium; added at a rate #0.30 M carbon/kg medium; or is rate limiting on the growth of the micro-organism. The micro-organisms thus have the carbon source restricted so that they preferentially metabolise fats or lipids other than arachidonic acid (ARA), so increasing the proportion of ARA in the cells. A microbial oil is then recovered from the micro-organism, using hexane as a solvent, that has at least 50% ARA and at least 90% triglycerides.
COMPOSITION COMPRISING AZELAIC ACID OR AS ACTIVE INGREDIENTS FOR MUSCLE STRENGTHENING, DEVELOPMENT, DIFFERENTIATION, REGENERATION OR INHIBITING MUSCLE ATROPHY
The present disclosure relates to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating a muscle disease, comprising, as an active ingredient, azelaic acid or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. In muscle cells, the azelaic acid according to the present disclosure can increase expression of proteins associated with muscle protein synthesis and muscle mass increase and can inhibit expression of enzymes involved in muscle protein degradation; and therefore the azelaic acid can exhibit a muscle strength-enhancing effect through muscle differentiation, muscle regeneration, and muscle mass increase in a muscle disease caused by muscle function decline, muscle wasting, or muscle degeneration. In addition, the azelaic acid can inhibit muscle decrease. Accordingly, the azelaic acid can be used for preventing or treating a muscle disease, differentiating muscles, regenerating muscles and enhancing muscles, or for increasing muscle mass, promoting muscle production, or improving muscle function.
System and device for customization of cosmetics
The presently disclosed subject matter relates to a system for customizing a cosmetic product. The system includes: an interface device, in electronic communication with a single batch formulation device. The single batch formulation device is configured to formulate a customized cosmetic product, and a threaded container configured, to be imported into the single batch formulation device containing a base and exported from the single batch formulation device containing the customized cosmetic.
SOLID COSMETIC COMPOSITION COMPRISING A SILICONE POLYAMIDE, A SILICONE RESIN AND A DISPERSED AQUEOUS PHASE
This invention relates according to a solid cosmetic composition for makeup or treatment comprising: a continuous fatty phase comprising at least one silicone polyamide, at least one non-volatile polar hydrocarbon-based oil and at least one polar wax of which the melting point is less than or equal to 90 C.; and an aqueous phase dispersed in the continuous fatty phase, said silicone polyamide representing at most 9% by weight with respect to the total weight of said composition, and said wax representing at least 7% by weight with respect to the total weight of said composition.
STYLING COMPOSITION HAVING DYEING PROPERTIES
A cosmetic composition for the temporary deformation of keratinic fibers comprises, based on its total weight a) from about 1 to about 10% by weight of starch particles comprising, based on the weight of the starch particles, a1) from about 70 to about 99% by weight of starch, and a2) from about 1 to about 30% by weight of pigment, and b) from about 0.5 to about 50% by weight of a firming compound selected from the group comprising waxes, synthetic polymers and mixtures thereof.
DISPOSABLE BODY CLEANSING TOWELETTE
Disclosed are formulations and compositions comprising the formulations made up of at least tea tree oil, peppermint oil, castor oil, aloe, and lanolin. Also disclosed are cleansing wipes comprising a substrate and a cleansing formulation, wherein said cleansing formulation comprises tea tree oil; peppermint oil; castor oil; aloe; and lanolin. Disclosed are cleansing products comprising a sealed package and at least one cleansing wipe. Also disclosed are methods of cleansing skin, refreshing/rejuvenating the user, cooling or resetting the body temperature and exfoliating, smoothing, and softening of the skin.
MASCARA COMPOSITION CONTAINING A TETRAHYDROXYPROPYL ETHYLENEDIAMINE ESTER
The subject of the invention is a wax-in-water emulsion containing at least one fatty acid ester of tetramethylpropylethylenediamine, which is intended to replace triethanolamine, known to decompose into nitrosamines when the preserved emulsion is packaged in a thermoplastic material. Moreover, this emulsion has the advantage of gaining shade depth and fluidity, especially in products rich in waxes.
EXFOLIATING AND HYDRATING MAKEUP REMOVING COMPOSITIONS
The present disclosure relates to a makeup removing composition comprising: (a) about 5 to about 50 wt. % of exfoliating particles; (b) about 5 to about 30 wt. % of glycerin; (c) about 1 to about 50 wt. % of one or more natural fatty compounds; and (d) about 25 to about 75 wt. % of one or more nonionic surfactants; wherein the weight percentages are based on the total weight of the composition. In addition to effectively removing makeup, the composition both exfoliates and hydrates the skin. Accordingly, the disclosed includes method for removing makeup from the skin and/or methods for exfoliating and hydrating the skin.
Emollient composition
The present invention relates to an emollient composition comprising emu oil, jojoba oil, a dermatological base and a metal or metalloid oxide, hydroxide or carbonate. The composition has efficacy in the prevention or treatment of a range of skin conditions.
