WRINKLE AMELIORATING AGENT
The object is to provide a wrinkle improving agent having an excellent wrinkle improving effect. A compound expressed by the following Formulas (1) and/or (2) is used as an active ingredient of a wrinkle improving agent.
##STR00001##
(In Formulas (1) and (2), R and R independently represent a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, R represents an alkylene group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, and n represents a number of 0 or 1.)
Oil-in-water emulsions of which the oil phase is in the form of a mixture of drops of different sizes
The present invention relates to a composition, in particular cosmetic, in the form of an oil-in-water emulsion, comprising a continuous aqueous phase and a dispersed oil phase in the form of drops (G1) and drops (G2), wherein the size of the drops (G1) is less than 500 ?m and the size of the drops (G2) is greater than 500 ?m.
Topical composition comprised of cod li [[ ]]ver oil for treating wounds and skin disorders
Disclosed is a topical anhydrous, homogenous pharmaceutical composition for treating skin disorder and wounds comprising cod liver oil, hempseed oil, monolaurin, medium chain triglycerides (MCT), free fatty acids, sea salt, and vegetable oil selected from the group consisting of red palm concentrate, coconut oil, and red palm oil and combination thereof and optionally fish collagen, ascorbyl palmitate, thickening agent, such as beeswax, red palm concentrate and cetyl ester.
SOLID COSMETIC COMPOSITION COMPRISING A SILICONE POLYAMIDE, A SILICONE RESIN AND A DISPERSED AQUEOUS PHASE
Provided is a solid cosmetic composition for makeup or treatment comprising: a continuous fatty phase comprising at least one silicone polyamide, at least one non-volatile polar hydrocarbon-based oil and at least one polar wax of which the melting point is less than or equal to 90 C.; and an aqueous phase dispersed in the continuous fatty phase, the silicone polyamide representing at most 9% by weight with respect to the total weight of the composition and the wax representing at least 7% by weight with respect to the total weight of the composition.
NATURAL LIPIDS CONTAINING NON-OXIDIZABLE FATTY ACIDS
Provided herein is technology relating to natural lipids containing non--oxidizable fatty acids and particularly, but not exclusively, to compositions and methods related to the production and use of natural lipids containing non--oxidizable fatty acids.
SYSTEM AND DEVICE FOR CUSTOMIZATION OF COSMETICS
The presently disclosed subject matter relates to a system for customizing a cosmetic product. The system includes: an interface device, in electronic communication with a single batch formulation device. The single batch formulation device is configured to formulate a customized cosmetic product, and a threaded container configured to be imported into the single batch formulation device containing a base and exported from the single batch formulation device containing the customized cosmetic.
Pasteurisation process for microbial cells and microbial oil
An improved pasteurisation protocol for pasteurising microbial cells is disclosed. The protocol has three stages, a first heating stage, a second plateau stage at which the cells are held at a (maximum and) constant temperature, and a third cooling stage. Both the heating and the cooling stages are rapid, with the temperature of the cells passing through 40 to 80 C. in no more than 30 minutes in the heating stage. The heating rate is at least 0.5 C./minute and during cooling is at least 0.5 C./minute. The plateau maximum temperature is from 70 to 85 C. By plotting the pasteurisation protocol on a time (t, minutes) versus temperature (T, C.) graph, one obtains a trapezium having an area less than 13,000 C. minute. Not only does this result in a smaller energy input (and so a reduction in costs), but a better quality (and less oxidized) oil results having a peroxide value (POV) of less than 1.5 and an anisidine value (AnV) of less than 1.0.
Liquid cosmetic composition comprising an oil, hydrophobic silica aerogel particles and a wax with a melting point of greater than 60? celsius
The present invention relates to a liquid cosmetic composition for making up and/or caring for the skin and/or the lips, comprising, in a physiologically acceptable medium, at least one non volatile oil, at least hydrophobic silica aerogel particles, at least one wax with a melting point of greater than or equal to 60? C., the said composition comprising less than 5% by weight of water relative to the total weight of the composition, and preferably being anhydrous.
Double emulsions
A water-in-oil-in-water (W.sub.1/O/W.sub.2) emulsion comprising a lipid phase (O) and a water phase (W.sub.2), the lipid phase being distributed inside the water phase, wherein the lipid phase contains water droplets (W.sub.1), wherein the water content inside the lipid phase is between 10 wt % and 80 wt % relative to total weight of the lipid phase, wherein the water droplets are stabilized inside the lipid phase by an emulsifier composition, wherein the emulsifier composition comprises an Acetone-insoluble (AI) component containing a Phosphatidyl Choline (PC), a Phosphatidyl Inositol (PI), a Phosphatidyl Ethanolamine (PE) and a Phosphatidic Acid (PA), wherein PC is at most 15.5% relative to the total weight of the emulsifier composition and wherein the emulsifier composition has a phospholipid weight ratio R of at most 65%, the ratio R being defined according to Formula R(in %)=100?(PC+PI+PE+PA)/AI.
