CHECKOUT APPARATUS AND NUMBER-OF-COMMODITIES CHECK METHOD
According to one embodiment, a checkout apparatus includes an interface and a processor. The interface is configured to acquire images from a camera positioned to image an interior opening of a basket. The processor is configured to count the total number of items removed from the basket during a registration of items in a sales transaction based on a detection of the items being removed from the basket in the acquired images from the camera, and then compare the number of items registered in the sales transaction to the total number of items removed from the basket to determine if an unregistered item remains.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TREATING INDIVIDUAL SEEDS WITH LIQUID CROP INPUTS DURING THE PLANTING PROCESS
A system for dispensing liquid agricultural products with seed includes an agricultural product supply system configured to dispense agricultural products. The system includes a seed tube for introducing seed. A tube-mounted nozzle is positioned on the seed tube for introducing liquid agricultural product into the seed tube. A gaseous fluid line is in fluid connection to a source of gaseous fluid. A gaseous fluid bubble generation assembly is in fluid communication with the gaseous fluid line. The gaseous fluid bubble generation assembly is configured to generate bubbles. The gaseous fluid bubble generation assembly is arranged and constructed so that when the gaseous fluid from the gaseous fluid line is passed therethrough bubbles are generated and agglomerated when the gaseous fluid encounters the liquid agricultural product within the seed tube.
CHARGER FOR AN IMPLANT
A medical device for supplying feedback information when implanted in the body of a patient is provided. The medical device is arranged to monitor or control a physiological condition or defect in the body of the patient, the medical device comprises a radio frequency identification (RFID) device comprising a transmitter arranged to transmit feedback information from the implanted medical device, a measuring device for measuring a physiological parameter of the patient and wherein the feedback information comprises the parameter, wherein the RFID device further comprises a receiver arranged to receive an interrogating signal from an external device, and wherein the transmitter is arranged to transmit feedback information in response to the interrogating signal.
Mobile Inventory Systems and Methods
A system having a handheld device configured for activating a radio frequency identification (RFID) tag, a server communicatively coupled to the handheld device, and a processor that loads a database based on input from a user, the processor scans one or more RFID EPCs or corresponding label barcodes with the handheld device, determines whether each RFIG EPC and corresponding label barcode are in the database, and displays a list of inventory assets that were found in the database, not found in the database, or found in the inventory as extra.
ELECTRONIC LOGGING DEVICE (ELD) APPARATUS, SYSTEM, AND METHOD
A mobile device for use in an electronic logging device (ELD) system may include a processor and one or more memories which store, singularly or in combination, one or more instructions, which when executed by the processor cause the mobile device to carry out one or more operations. The one or more operations may include reading a machine readable code configured to be coupled to a vehicle, connecting to an ELD dongle based, at least in part, on the machine readable code, receiving data from the ELD dongle, and generating one or more mobile device reports based, at least in part, on the received data.
EXCHANGE OF DATA BETWEEN A NFC READER AND A DUAL NFC INTERFACE TRANSPONDER
In an embodiment an apparatus includes a contactless transponder including a contactless interface and a wired interface, wherein the contactless transponder is configured to communicate with a contactless reader according to a contactless protocol through the contactless interface, a wired communication bus connected to the wired interface and at least one module connected to the bus, wherein the transponder is configured so that the reader is a master on the bus when the reader and the transponder communicate.
Delivery of Bioactive Molecules in Protective Coatings or Surface Layers of Organically Enhanced Inorganic Fertilizers
The invention is directed to fertilizers and manufacturing methods using organically enhanced inorganic fertilizer granules that incorporate a coating of one or more layers containing a bioactive agent in a carrier. The bioactive agent may be an herbicide, pesticide, plant growth regulator, microorganism, or beneficial element. Manufacture of conventional fertilizers involves stresses such as pH, heat, and pressure that are overcome by providing a protective carrier that facilitates and extends functional survival/effectiveness. Many carriers, such as liquefied dried milk, bind actively to the granule surface and contribute to the total carbon base. The release of the bioactive agent from the coating and or the surface of the fertilizer granule preferably results in a two-phased release, a first fast release and a second extended or slow-release into the soil metering the bioavailability of the bioactive agent for crop growth or protection, and/or for controlling unwanted vegetation or pests.
Method for interactive training in the cleaning of a room
A method for interactive training in the cleaning of a room. The method includes the steps of providing a room having a plurality of locations to be cleaned; providing pre-selected janitorial and cleaning products for each of the locations to be cleaned; providing a reader programmed to recognize surface characteristics of the locations to be cleaned and link to a website having information about one or more pre-selected janitorial and cleaning products and the use thereof at the locations to be cleaned; operating the reader to recognize surface characteristics of the locations to be cleaned to create a spatial map of the room; locating a trainee with the reader in the room and operating the reader to display to the trainee the room and selectively display to the trainee displayed information comprising information from the website about the one or more pre-selected janitorial and cleaning products and the use thereof at the locations to be cleaned; and having the trainee interact with the displayed information to select amongst the one or more pre-selected janitorial and cleaning products for each of the locations and thereby selectively access the displayed information for training in selection and use of the pre-selected cleaning and janitorial products for each of the locations in the room.
Screenless smart learning toy and system
A screenless smart toy device may be a block made of natural or wooden material and may include a transparent or semi-transparent panel allowing one or more LEDs, from within the smart toy device, to be visible when illuminated. The smart toy device may read RFID values from various objects, such as tiles having objects depicted thereupon and RFID tags embedded within, and play different sounds and/or illuminate its LEDs with different colors based on the RFID tag that was read. The smart toy device may operate in a variety of modes, such as in a play/explore mode, quiz mode, definition mode, etc. The smart toy device may be configured into different modes and/or language settings by use of a mode card or separate application.
METHOD AND APPARATUS AND SYSTEM FOR TRANSPORTING ITEMS USING A ROBOTIC VEHICLE
A robotic vehicle apparatus for transporting a harvested crop within a cultivation area is disclosed and includes a vehicle controller operably configured to receive a pickup signal indicating that a harvested crop portion is available for transport to a post-harvesting location and identifying a location of a worker within the cultivation area. The vehicle controller navigates the vehicle to the location of the worker for loading the harvested crop portion into a load carrying repository and generates an identifier attributing the harvested crop portion to the worker. A quantity sensor is operable to produce a quantity signal representative of a quantity of the harvested crop portion loaded and the vehicle controller transmits quantity data to a host controller including the quantity of the harvested crop portion and the identifier. A method for navigating a robotic vehicle within an area having items arranged in a plurality of generally longitudinally extending adjacent rows is also disclosed.
