ELECTRONIC MODULE FOR A WEARABLE SENSOR SYSTEM AS WELL AS WEARABLE SENSOR SYSTEM
An electronic module for a wearable sensor system including a housing, a support frame, a sensor module and an attachment element for the sensor module. The support frame includes several partitions and defines several compartments within the housing, wherein the attachment element is a component part that is separate from the support frame and is attached to the support frame. The sensor module is located in one of the compartments, termed sensor compartment, and is attached to the attachment element. Moreover, a wearable sensor device is shown.
ERGONOMIC RING SCANNER ORIENTED IN A NEUTRAL GRIP POSITION, AND APPLICATIONS THEREOF
Embodiments position a barcode reader, or other optical detector, to scan upright barcodes when the user's hand is in the neutral position. To do this, embodiments rest the body of the ring scanner device on top of the index finger, with the palm facing inward toward the user's body. Embodiments have integrated interactivity, including a touchscreen display and separate buttons that can be used to operate the optical detector and input data into an integrated computing device. The integrated computing device can run software applications on board the ring scanner device. Finally, the integrated computing device can be remotely managed.
Barcode reader and docking station for charging the barcode reader
A barcode reader and a docking station for charging the barcode reader are disclosed. The barcode reader may be an elongated pen-shaped device that includes a capacitive tip for use as a stylus against a capacitive touch screen and a barcode reader for reading a barcode. The barcode reader may be docked in the docking station for charging. The docking station may include a magnetic structure for holding the barcode reader to the docking station, and a positioning structure for aligning the charging contacts of the barcode reader and the docking station. The docking station may include a battery such that the barcode reader may be charged from the battery while being docked in the docking station.
SMART GLOVE
A smart glove includes a glove for housing and triggering electronic modules having a sensor; a triggering member for triggering the electronic modules; and a slide provided on the glove for partially or completely enclosing the electronic modules. The slide is made of a flexible material and comprises a base; two side walls extending from two side portions of the base; two channels extending starting from a first end of the base towards a second end of the base; a protrusion connected to the base from a connection end of the protrusion and extending between a channel; a lock end located at an end of the protrusion not connected to the base and extending from the protrusion perpendicularly or in an angled manner; a slot provided on an opposite end of the base without the lock end, comprising a hollow and extending from the base towards a roof.
SCANNING INSTRUMENT ACCESSORY
An accessory for holding a scanning instrument, comprising: a sleeve to receive the scanning instrument; a fastener coupled to the sleeve to releasably secure the scanning instrument in the sleeve; a coupling mechanism having a first end and a second end, the first end rotatably coupled to the sleeve such that the sleeve rotates about an axis defined by the first end, the second end rotatably coupled to the first end such that the first end and the sleeve rotate about an axis defined by the second end; and an extension pole coupled to the coupling mechanism at the second end. In one embodiment, the coupling mechanism further comprises a motion inducer configured to induce movement of the sleeve with respect to the coupling mechanism and the extension pole.
WRIST BAND HAPTIC FEEDBACK SYSTEM
Inventory management systems and related methods employ radio frequency based tracking of a worker's hands to monitor performance of inventory tasks. An inventory management system includes inventory bins, a user-wearable unit configured to be worn in proximity to a user's hand, fixed RF antennas configured to transmit at least one RF interrogation signal and receive at least one RF response signal, a RF transceiver operatively coupled with the fixed RF antennas, and a management module operatively coupled with the RF transceiver. The user-wearable unit includes an RF transceiver configured to transmit RF response signals in response to reception of the at least one RF interrogation signal. The management module is configured to process signals generated by the RF transceiver to track locations of the user-wearable unit and identify an inventory bin based on proximity of the user-wearable unit to the identified inventory bin to monitor performance of an inventory system task.
System for providing interim charging capability for a mobile device
An interim charging system includes a docking station and a case for a mobile device. The case is magnetically secured to the docking station. The docking station includes a power source and a charger that charges the mobile device in the case.
Wearable device
A wearable device is provided. A wearable device includes a display assembly having a display component, a network component, and a computing component, at least one reader coupled to the computing component and reading at least one of a barcode or Radio-frequency identification (RFID), a wrist band unit having a first wrist band unit and a second wrist band unit. The first wrist band unit is extended in opposite direction from the second wrist band unit, and accommodates the display assembly. The at least one reader is disposed to face in a tangential direction to a surface of the wrist band unit. The first wrist band unit has an attachment component and the attachment component is detachably attached to at least one of the display assembly and the second wrist band unit.
Head-mounted code scanner
The described mobile device for optically reading a machine-interpretable code, used for example in an order picking system for consumer and/or consumable goods, includes a head-mountable scanner with a code reader and a control unit controlling the head-mounted scanner to switch the code reader between a detection mode and a reading mode. In the detection mode, the code reader operates in a low power mode sufficient to detect the presence of a machine-interpretable code. The control unit switches the code reader into the higher-powered reading mode when the code is detected to optically read the code. A wireless communication device may also be provided to wirelessly transmit information corresponding to the scanned code to a remote receiving unit for storage and/or data processing.
Conformable hand mount for a mobile scanner
A hand mount for a mobile scanner includes an elongated body having an upper surface, a lower surface opposite the upper surface, a scanner receiving cradle disposed on the upper surface that removably receives a mobile scanner, a scanning end, and an opposite securing end; a hook extends outward from the lower surface of the body, adjacent the scanning end, and bends towards the securing end; and a conformable wrist wrap is positioned adjacent the securing end of the body, with the body being positionable on a back area of a wearer's hand whereby the hook is received between a thumb and index finger of the hand and the conformable wrist wrap is wrapped around a wrist area.
