BIDIRECTIONAL DATA EXCHANGE ACROSS DEVICES VIA BARCODES
According to one embodiment, data is exchanged between two devices where the transmitting device displays a barcode (e.g., a Quick Response “QR” code) and the receiving device captures the barcode with a camera. Each of the devices may alternate between being the transmitting device and the receiving device. Therefore, bidirectional exchange of data between the devices can be achieved. No electrical or radio connections, such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, cables, or the Internet, etc., are required between the devices for the transmission to take place.
Platform for registering and processing visual encodings
The present disclosure relates generally to the processing of machine-readable visual encodings in view of contextual information. One embodiment of aspects of the present disclosure comprises obtaining image data descriptive of a scene that includes a machine-readable visual encoding; processing the image data with a first recognition system configured to recognize the machine-readable visual encoding; processing the image data with a second, different recognition system configured to recognize a surrounding portion of the scene that surrounds the machine-readable visual encoding; identifying a stored reference associated with the machine-readable visual encoding based at least in part on one or more first outputs generated by the first recognition system based on the image data and based at least in part on one or more second outputs generated by the second recognition system based on the image data; and performing one or more actions responsive to identification of the stored reference.
Green Screen—health verification system (GS-HVS)
A system and method of testing, recording, tracking, and verifying the health of an individual to other persons while providing confidence that the individual user has taken and reported to at least one medical measurement, and this measurement has been identified as normal or not normal to the specific individual user, is provided. A medical instrument which is self-administered by the said individual user and a Green Screen Health Verification System (GS-HVS) server are provided. Software that contains prearranged decisions and protocols to provide guidance to said individual user and to an individual user's supervisor and records any abnormal reporting from said individual user and provides alerts based on said protocol. Software returns guidance from said GS-HVS server to said individual user, and upon said GS-HVS indicting that said individual user has good health, software displays a good health status or “Green Screen” on said individual user's said mobile device.
Item Eligibility and/or Promotion Determination Application
In general, the present invention is directed to systems and methods of utilizing an application operating on a mobile device to determine any applicable offers or eligibility and rank such offers and eligibility for user selection. More specifically, a process may be conducted by a processor in communication with a mobile device and data stores including user data, retailer data, and/or product and service data, the process including comparing identification information associated with a product or service received from the mobile device with data in the data stores; determining the product or service and identifying any associated promotional offers or plan eligibility associated with the product or service, the user, and/or the retailer; ranking any promotional offers or plan eligibility based at least in part on size of promotion; transmitting to the mobile device an identifier of applicable promotional offers or plan eligibility.
UNIQUE IDENTIFICATION INFORMATION FROM MARKED FEATURES
A system for verifying the authenticity of a printed mark includes an image acquisition device that acquires an image of a printed mark. In one implementation, the printed mark includes an identifier that identifies the group or class of an item to which the printed mark is to be (or has been) attached. The system may also include one or more processors that carry out actions such as receiving the image from the image acquisition device; analyzing the image to identify artifacts in the printed mark, retrieving a genuine mark signature from a data storage containing genuine mark signatures, comparing the identified artifacts with the genuine mark signature, and determining whether the unverified item is authentic based on the comparison.
Image and quick art response code system
Disclosed herein are methods of using an augmented reality trigger to locate and/or read a Data Code in an image. A method according to this disclosure may include the step of using an augmented reality trigger in an image to initiate an augmented reality experience, locating portions of Data Code arrange in a plurality of locations within the image, and combining each of the Data Code portions for processing as a unified Data Code. The augmented reality trigger may be stored in a data set including location information to locate each of the Data Code portions. The data set may include information to combine the plurality of Data Code portions.
INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, IMAGE READING APPARATUS AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM STORING PROGRAM
An information processing device includes: a scanner that performs scanning of a read image of a document and detects a code image included in a scanned region, which is a region where the scanning is completed; and a setting unit that sets, based on the code image detected by the scanner, a scanning region when the scanner scans an unscanned region, in which the scanning by the scanner has not been performed yet.
BARCODE DECODING METHOD
A barcode decoding method includes steps of analyzing a relative relationship between at least two characteristic points of a gray level distribution of a target scanning line of a target barcode to obtain at least one reference characteristic parameter; when determining a current distance between a barcode reader and the target barcode being a relatively long distance, dividing the gray level distribution into at least one bar area and at least one space area; setting a gray level region and locating at least one peak point and/or at least one valley point located within the gray level region from the gray level distribution; when the peak point is located within the bar area, interpolating a space corresponding to the peak point into the bar area; and when the valley point is located within the space area, interpolating a bar corresponding to the valley point into the space area.
Sample traceability device and method for medical research and/or diagnosis
Sample traceability device and method for medical research and/or diagnosis. The invention relates to a sample traceability device for medical research and/or diagnosis, comprising a one-dimensional or two-dimensional optical code, the device comprising a system for reading one-dimensional or two-dimensional optical codes and a sample tracing control device comprising a sample tracing database manager, and a user interface screen. Said traceability device also comprises: an area for depositing at least two samples, a system for illuminating the deposit area, at least one digital camera oriented towards said deposit area, and a device for processing the image, said image processing device comprising: a module for locating said optical codes, and a module for reading the located optical codes, the sample tracing control device automatically receiving the information generated by the module for reading the located optical codes.
Authentication method and system
The present invention provides a method and apparatus for the production and labeling of objects in a manner suitable for the prevention and detection of counterfeiting. Thus, the system incorporates a variety of features that make unauthorized reproduction difficult. In addition, the present invention provides a system and method for providing a dynamically reconfigurable watermark, and the use of the watermark to encode a stochastically variable property of the carrier medium for self-authentication purposes.
