METHOD, APPARATUS, AND COMPUTER-READABLE MEDIUM FOR MANAGING WORKFORCES WITH ROTATING SHIFTS
Methods, apparatus, and media for assigning agents for shifts in a call center environment. Shift template data structures are created for an agent for a single week, the shift template data structure having data fields including, an agent work time data field for a plurality of days in a week, an agent weekly minimum hour data field, and an agent weekly maximum hour data field. Worker parameters are combined with the shift template to define shift rotations which can be applied to a scheduling algorithm to assign the agent to a schedule of rotating shifts.
Issue rank management in an issue tracking system
Described herein is a computer implemented method for maintaining a plurality of issues, each issue having an associated rank value, the rank values of the plurality of issues defining an order of the plurality of issues. The method comprises receiving a rank operation request to change the rank of a subject issue; determining relevant issues to the rank operation request; and attempting to acquire locks on each of the relevant issues. In response to successfully acquiring locks on each of the relevant issues a new rank value for the subject issue is calculated and saved.
Method, apparatus and system for realizing dynamic scheduling for a cinema and controlling playing of a movie
The present disclosure relates to a method, apparatus, and system for realizing dynamic scheduling for a cinema and controlling playing of a movie. In particular, embodiments of the present invention relate to dynamic scheduling of content presentation in a cinema by collecting user preferences of a plurality of users, wherein the user preference specifies at least a movie that a user desires to watch, a time for watching the movie, a cinema for watching the movie, and a number of people watching the movie; generating, based on the collected user preferences, a respective dynamic schedule for at least one cinema of a plurality of cinemas according to one of a plurality of scheduling schemes; and transmitting the generated respective dynamic schedule to at least one second electronic apparatus corresponding to the at least one cinema.
FULFILLMENT OF ORDERS SCHEDULED FOR AN IN-STORE PICKUP
A system and method for order fulfillment is provided. A pickup timeslot in which a customer order is scheduled for pickup from a retail store is received along with order servicing constraints of human workers of the retail store. The customer order is divided into a set of suborders and one or more timeslots in which the set of suborders is to be serviced are determined based on the pickup timeslot and the order servicing constraints. A set of human workers available to work at the retail store within the one or more timeslots is identified and an optimization problem is solved to determine an assignment to service the set of suborders. The assignment maps the set of suborders to the set of human workers and is such that utilization of total hours available with the set of human workers to service the set of suborders is above a threshold.
Out of office management
Out of office management is provided to an institution and customers of the institution. Employee data can be monitored of one or more employees of the institution. A likelihood an employee is out of office is determined. A set of projects of the employee that are affected by the out of office is determined. The projects are analyzed to determine departure scores for each project of the set of projects. The projects are ranked according to the departure scores to determine criticality of each project. The projects are reassigned based on the employee data and the ranking. Customer sentiments are monitored after reassignment for machine learning to affect future out of office reassignments.
Fulfilling Item Requests on an Aircraft Based on a Zoning Definition for the Aircraft
Technology is described for processing requested items on an aircraft. A server onboard the aircraft may identify a zoning definition for the aircraft that divides aircraft seating into a plurality of service zones. The server may receive a request for an item from a client device onboard the aircraft. The request may include a delivery location within one of the service zones of the aircraft. The server may assign the request to a crew member identifier (ID) based in part on the delivery location and the zoning definition for the aircraft. The server may transmit the request to a fulfillment computing device associated with the crew member ID.
RESOURCE PLANNING WITH INCOMPLETE INFORMATION
Resource planning with incomplete information is provided by updating tentative vacancies for roles in an assignment plan; evaluating the assignment plan based on simulated bids for resources to fill the tentative vacancies; in response to determining that the simulated bids fulfill the assignment plan according to an assignment threshold, publishing the tentative vacancies as actual vacancies for actual bids; receiving actual bids from at least a portion of the resources; evaluating the assignment plan based on the actual bids; and in response to determining that the actual bids fulfill the assignment plan, publishing a update plan based on the actual bids as awarded to the resources.
HOME DELIVERY SYSTEM, MOVING BODY, AND HOME DELIVERY METHOD
A home delivery system delivering objects to a residence comprises a moving body configured to move autonomously or remotely, a plurality of sensors placed in the residence, and the processing apparatus. The processing apparatus is configured to execute observing status of a resident including whether or not the resident is in the residence based on detection information acquired from the plurality of sensors. Then, the processing apparatus is configured to execute instructing the moving body to start a delivery at least condition that the resident is in the residence and instructing the moving body to complete the delivery on condition that the resident is available to response after the moving body arriving at the residence.
WORK SUPPORT SYSTEM, WORK SUPPORT METHOD, AND WORK SUPPORT PROGRAM
A work support system gives work support by using a work schedule which is created by dividing support target work into a plurality of division tasks and distributing a worker unit. The present system includes an interruption information acquisition part for acquiring interruption information, and a work schedule modification part for modifying the work schedule if the interruption information is acquired. The work schedule is modified by redistributing, to the division task started after the interruption event, the remaining worker unit excluding the worker unit distributed to the division task in which the interruption event occurs.
METHODS AND APPARATUS TO PLAN MULTI-VEHICLE DATA COLLECTION
Methods, apparatus, systems disclosed herein include a work plan generator to generate market vehicle scores corresponding to available market vehicles, the market vehicle scores based on at least one client weight and at least one vehicle metric, and perform a comparison of the market vehicle scores associated with vehicle types to determine a first vehicle assignment and a second vehicle assignment, the first vehicle assignment associated with a first vehicle type, the second vehicle assignment associated with a second vehicle type; and generate first work plans, the first work plans corresponding to (a) a sequence of tasks and (b) a set of corresponding vehicles to execute the sequence of tasks, and a vehicle metrics generator to update vehicle metrics instructions associated with the first vehicle assignment and the second vehicle assignment to facilitate subsequent execution of second work plans, a first subset of the second work plans corresponding to first ones of the sequence of tasks executed by the first vehicle assignment and a second subset of the second work plans corresponding to second ones of the sequence of tasks executed by the second vehicle assignment.
