REAL-TIME G-PROTEIN COUPLED RECEPTOR (GPCR) LINKED BIOLUMINESCENT SENSING OF BIOLOGICAL TARGETS AND PROCESSES

The invention relates to compositions and methods for making and use of a real-time cellular sensor. Components of a multipart enzyme are sequestered in different cellular compartments and only come together after receptor activation; a pool of substrate is made available in the cell to ensure real-time enzymatic output.

Use of SRSF3 agents for the treatment and/or prevention of neurological conditions, cancer, bacterial infections or viral infections
11530258 · 2022-12-20 · ·

The present description relates to the use of a SRSF3 agent for regulating the function of a myeloid cell, such as a microglial cell and/or monocyte, for treating neurological conditions, cancers, bacterial infections and viral infections wherein the SRSF3 agent inhibits expression or function of SRSF3.

Biomarker for diagnosing overactive bladder disease and screening method of therapeutic agents using the same

The present invention relates to a biomarker for diagnosis of overactive bladder (OAB) disease, and a method for screening a drug using the biomarker. The markers described in the present invention can effectively detect or diagnose the onset of OAB by distinguishing them from normal populations. In particular, OAB-specific protein markers released into urine enable simple and rapid OAB diagnosis in a non-invasive manner. In addition, by selecting an agent that changes, particularly normalizes the expression and activity of the markers selected in the present invention, more effective preventative or therapeutic agents of OAB disease can be screened.

METHODS OF SCREENING AND RELATED SYSTEMS

Disclosed herein are methods of high-throughput screening test agents for treating a disease. Also disclosed herein are methods of high-throughput screening diseases. Systems for high-throughput screening are also disclosed herein.

NOVEL LOX-1 ANTIBODY COMPOSITIONS, LOX1 NEUTRALIZATION ASSAY AND METHODS OF TREATMENT USING SAME

Provided herein is a recombinant antibody or an epitope binding fragment thereof that specifically binds to a lectin-like oxidized low-density lipoprotein (LDL) receptor-1 (LOX-1) epitope, as well as compositions and methods using these antibodies and fragments for therapeutic and diagnostic protocols.

Saposin-A derived peptides and uses thereof

Disclosed herein are polypeptides and fusion polypeptides that have anti-angiogenic activity that can be used to inhibit tumor growth and tumor metastasis. The polypeptide consists of 9 or less consecutive amino acid residues (e.g., 8, 7, 6, 5, or 4) comprising the active core amino acid sequence DWLP, or an amino acid substitution variant thereof. Specific amino acid substitutions are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, the peptide consists essentially of 4-6 mers identified as exhibiting the activity of prosaposin A. Also disclosed herein are therapeutic compositions comprising the polypeptides and fusion polypeptides, and their use in the treatment, prevention, and inhibition of angiogenesis-related diseases and disorders such as cancer and cancer metastasis.

METHODS AND COMPOSITIONS RELATING TO AIRWAY DYSFUNCTION

Described herein are methods relating to the diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment of airway dysfunction, e.g., bronchiectasis by detecting gene expression in a sample obtained from a subject. Exemplary samples include a bronchial brushing, nasal brushing, sputum, or peripheral blood sample.

Nonsense-mediated mRNA decay (NMD) polypeptides, nucleic acids encoding NMD polypeptides, and methods of using such polypeptides and nucleic acids in the treatment of ALS and in screening for agents for the treatment of ALS are described.

METHOD FOR EVALUATING AND/OR SCREENING A CONTROL AGENT FOR TISSUE MORPHOLOGY AND/OR TISSUE FUNCTION

An object of the present invention is to provide a new method for evaluating and/or screening an excellent healthcare material or pharmaceutical product based on a new concept. The present invention to solve the above object is a method for evaluating and/or screening a control agent for tissue morphology and/or tissue function, the method including: applying a test substance to a tissue or cell capable of expressing a mechanical stress signaling molecule; and evaluating expression, activity, or intracellular localization of the mechanical stress signaling molecule in the tissue or cell.
