Thermostatic cartridge, and mixer tap comprising such a thermostatic cartridge
A thermostatic cartridge includes: a casing at least partially within and locked translationally along an axis a cartridge body that delimits a chamber, a hot and cold fluid inlet passages and a mixed fluid outlet passage; a slide valve regulating the temperature of the mixed fluid displaceable along the axis to close, in inverse proportions, the inlet passages; a thermostatic element; and a mechanism for adjusting a thermostatic regulation temperature mechanically and displaceably connected to the body and to secure the position of the piston of the element along the axis and to alter the piston position by actuating the adjustment mechanism to move relative to the body. To control the regulation temperature, the casing is rotationally mounted on the body such that the adjustment mechanism is actuated when the casing is between positions-corresponding to extreme low and high temperature values.
Fuel recirculation method and valve
Fuel recirculation methods, fuel supply circuits and fuel recirculation valves for selectively mixing hot return fuel from a diesel engine with fuel from a tank before providing it to back to the engine. In exemplary disclosed embodiments of fuel recirculation valves, the valves are configured to selectively mix the fuel in a controlled manner using a temperature sensitive actuator within the valve such that, when the temperature of the fuel reaches a certain point, the valve restricts flow pathways to reduce heated fuel being mixed with fuel from the fuel tank, and eventually closes to prevent any heated fuel from being mixed and overheating the fuel provided to a fuel filter, a fuel pump and the engine. Disclosed fuel circulation valves are separate from the fuel filter and are placed upstream of the filter.
Hot water tank with thermal mixing valve
A water heater system includes a water heater and a thermal mixing valve. The water heater includes a tank and a cap that each define interior volumes. The interior volume of the tank includes a heating element is the location where fluid is heated, whereas the cap includes a volume within which the thermal mixing valve may be disposed. The thermal mixing valve pulls cool and warm water from the volume of the tank, and then discharges a mixed stream of fluid at a user desired temperature via an outlet.
Mixing cartridge with wedge-shaped vertebral bodies
A mixing cartridge (1) for a sanitary faucet, comprising at least: a mixing chamber (2) having at least one hot-water inlet (3) for hot water and at least one cold-water inlet (4) for cold water, and a vortex element (5) for at least partially swirling the hot water and the cold water in the mixing chamber (2), wherein the vortex element (5) comprises a plurality of outer wedge-shaped vortex bodies (6) and a plurality of inner wedge-shaped vortex bodies (7).
THERMOSTATIC MIXING VALVE HAVING A COLD WATER OUTLET
An under-sink/under-washbasin thermostatic mixing valve provides a first cold water inlet, a first cold water outlet, a second hot water inlet, a second mixed cold/hot water outlet; a thermostatic member and a shutter operated by the thermostatic member to ensure that the mixed water is kept at a predetermined temperature. A hollow insert is received along the first cold water inlet and is provided with longitudinal fins on the outer wall thereof to obtain two separate coaxial passages, for sending the cold water both directly to the first cold water outlet and to the area for mixing it with the hot water through the shutter to supply the mixed water to the second hot water outlet. In this way a compact and inexpensive thermostatic mixing valve is obtained.
THERMOSTATIC ASSEMBLY, IN PARTICULAR THERMOSTATIC CARTRIDGE
This assembly comprises a casing, a thermostatic element and a slide. This slide is movable along an axis of the element so a first seat of the slide and a first seat of the casing delimit between them a first passage running around the axis and in which a hot fluid inlet opens and a second seat of the slide and a second seat of the casing delimit between them a second passage running around the axis and in which a cold fluid inlet opens. These first and second passages are closed when the slide occupies a first or second axial position, respectively, in which the first or second seat of the slide is in axial abutment against the first or second seat of the casing, respectively. They are open continuously all around the axis when the slide occupies an intermediate position between the first and second positions.
Thermostatic cartridge
The thermostatic cartridge includes: a cartridge body, inside which are delimited a chamber, a hot and cold fluid inlet passages and a mixed fluid outlet passage; a slide valve regulating the temperature of the mixed fluid, movable along an axis to close, in inverse proportions, the inlet passages; a thermostatic element, a mechanism for adjusting a thermostatic regulation temperature, which is, in a usage configuration, mechanically connected to the body to set, and by actuation, to modify the position of the piston of the thermostatic element along the axis; and a control member rotationally mounted on the body so as to, in the usage configuration, actuate it when the control member is rotationally driven in between positions associated with extreme low and high values of the thermostatic regulation temperature. When the control member is driven past a first position, the adjustment mechanism is disconnected from the body or control member.
Mixing unit and mixer tap comprising such a mixing unit
A mixing unit comprises two inlets for incoming streams at different temperatures, mixing means of these incoming streams for forming an outgoing stream, a main outlet for the outgoing stream, and a heat-sensitive actuator, comprising a first heat-sensitive part, arranged at the main outlet, and a second part, actuated in translation by the first part. According to the invention, the mixing unit comprises a shutter, which is actuated by the heat-sensitive actuator, so as to move between a closed position of the main outlet and an open position of the main outlet, based on the relative position of the first part and the second part, the shutter and the first part therefore not creating an imbalance between the flow rate of the first incoming stream and the flow rate of the second incoming stream.
