A management terminal manages a plurality of Self-Service Terminals (SSTs) for customer-assistance, transaction overrides, theft determinations, and transaction security audits. One or more overhead cameras stream real-time video of the transactions being processed at the SSTs to a server. Transaction data produced in real time at the SSTs are also provided to the server. The video is correlated with the transaction data and evaluated for security events. The video is also cached on the server. An operator of the management terminal can access a video review interface based on events and/or information visually gleaned by the operator during the transactions. The interface permits the operator to view a configured cached portion of the video captured for any given transaction to provide context to the operator for determining whether to perform or whether not to perform a transaction audit.

A request from an emergency services agent's display terminal includes location indicia and elicits a map of cameras bearing on the location vicinity as well as other display terminals in the area. Upon request, an application programming interface enables a video stream to comply with the privacy and access settings of the camera owner/operators. A plurality of private and public security surveillance cameras is coupled to a server. Exterior/street view video images are streamed to the server which may contact an owner for emergency access. An emergency agency vehicle at a location has a display for a selected gallery of obfuscated exterior/street views from cooperative networks of public and private security cameras bearing on the vicinity of an incident.

A system and method for replaying a security video at the time of a fraudulent incident at a point-of-sale checkout terminal is presented. The video playback takes place in real-time, when the event occurs, allowing personnel to take appropriate measures, corrective or otherwise, to deal with the event. Examples of such events may include when a weight-based security alert is triggered at a self-checkout, when a cashier or customer has missed scanning an item at the checkout, or other possible events where rapid replay of relevant video is required.

A method is performed at a client device with a display screen, processor(s), and memory storing program(s) for execution by the processor(s). The method comprises obtaining alert events from smart devices at a physical location. The smart devices include a camera located at or in proximity to the physical location. The method further comprises displaying in a scrollable list a chronological sequence of camera event items. Each of the camera event items includes a thumbnail image, a time of the alert event, and one or more activity alert indicators corresponding to predefined activity alert types. The method further comprises receiving a user selection of a first thumbnail image corresponding to a first one of the camera event items, and responsive to the user selection, enabling playback of a video of a first alert event in a video player interface while maintaining display of the scrollable list.

The present invention is a software as a service platform providing a system and method enabling interactive services between the end-users, emergency responders, and central monitoring stations. In an exemplary embodiment of the invention, the system provides an electronic notification of an alarm event to an end-user by way of a secure hyperlink to a web portal. The web portal provides a method enabling the end-user to interact with the central monitoring station and/or the emergency responders as well as view live and historical data from the alarm event including video. The system is configured to acquire historical video and data from the actual alarm triggering event from a variety of disparate sources including devices associated with life safety systems and lifestyle systems. The present invention, by enabling interactive services between the end-users, emergency responders, and central monitoring stations, provides better information and a better understanding of the alarm triggering event thereby informing decision making processes of the end-users, emergency responders, and central monitoring stations.

A method of rendering a digital map from an input within a graphical user interface element displayed in association with a video feed on a graphical user interface; it includes receiving a video feed; rendering the video feed and a video progress indicator on a graphical user interface; displaying, a first graphical user interface element indicative of an occurrence of an event, the event associated with a geographical location; rendering on the graphical user interface a digital map; displaying in correspondence with the time of the occurrence of the event on the digital map a second graphical user interface element, the second graphical user interface element comprising a second event indicator associated with the event type, the second graphical user interface element displayed at a position on the digital map corresponding to the geographical location associated with the event.

The disclosure includes a method for using a doorbell system to detect a presence of a visitor. The doorbell system can comprise a doorbell having a speaker, a microphone, a camera, and a button. The method can include detecting, by the doorbell system, the presence of the visitor while the visitor is located outside a building to which the doorbell is attached. The building can include a door having a lock that is configured to fasten the door to inhibit unauthorized entry into the building. In response to detecting the presence of the visitor, the method can include the step of actuating, by the doorbell system, a first appliance associated with the building.

An integrated security system that includes a security coprocessor coupled to a conventional security system panel and an interactive security system. The integrated security system enables conventional security system features as well as the consumer-oriented interactive features and functions of an interactive security system without sacrificing reliability or the significant burden and cost associated with frequent software updates associated with conventional security systems. The integrated security system also minimizes or eliminates the need for new battery backup circuitry or larger batteries.

A representation of a building space is displayed on a display. A user is allowed to enter a user input via a user interface in order to place a representation of each of a plurality of intrusion sensors at a location on the representation of the building space that corresponds to an actual or planned installation location of the corresponding intrusion sensor in the building space, each of the plurality of intrusion sensors being a non-video based motion sensor and/or a glass break sensor and each having a predefined detection zone representative of a geographic area that the corresponding intrusion sensor covers. The representation of a building space and the placement location of each of the plurality of intrusion sensors is stored. A visual representation of the predefined detection zone for each of the placed intrusion sensors is displayed on the representation of the building space.
