Heat dissipation arrangement for battery distribution unit

A battery distribution unit includes a housing having a bottom mounted to a battery case of a battery module and having a component cavity with a contactor therein. The contactor has fixed contacts having terminating ends extending from a bottom end of a contactor housing. The BDU includes terminals at the bottom end of the contactor coupled to the terminating ends and a heat exchanger cap at the bottom end of the contactor. The heat exchanger cap is provided in the component cavity in thermal communication with the fixed contacts and in thermal communication with the battery case of the battery module to dissipate heat from the fixed contacts into the battery case of the battery module.

Plug-in power contactor and system including the same

A power contactor that includes a number of inputs for a number of power sources, a number of outputs for a number of loads, a number of separable contacts for each pair of the number of inputs and the number of outputs, and an electromagnetic coil. The power contactor also includes a control circuit structured to control the electromagnetic coil to cause the number of separable contacts to open or close, and a plurality of plug-in pins. Each of the plug-in pins is for a corresponding one of the number of inputs and the number of outputs, and is structured to plug into a backplane socket. The power contactor also includes an electrically insulating housing electrically insulating each of the plug-in pins from the other the plug-in pins.

The present disclosure discloses a specially packaged relay and a packaging method thereof. The relay includes an electromagnetic relay and an injection molded body. The injection molded body is injection molded outside the electromagnetic relay and wraps the electromagnetic relay therein. A plurality of conventional terminals of the electromagnetic relay are respectively exposed, or the conventional terminals of the electromagnetic relay are respectively located within the injection molded body, and each of the conventional terminals of the electromagnetic relay is connected with an external terminal that is exposed. The electromagnetic relay of the present disclosure is completely wrapped and sealed by the injection molded body, and is completely isolated from external liquid, which can effectively prevent the external liquid from flowing into the electromagnetic relay and ensure the electromagnetic relay to work stably for a long time in a liquid environment.
